uhh. someone kick me out. I didn't know this was soccer..... i thought this was American Football. you should say soccer in your signiature....... I get confused..

I don't think I can. Just make a team anyway.

By the way chaser, you may want to put the link in your first post. Some people are too lazy to scroll down a few posts. 👍

Do I have to have all the spots full, or Do I only need one player for all positons. I need some help, I know nothing about soccer... I live in Texas

Yes, you need a full team i.e. 11 players. And when you are in this forum, the sport is called football, not soccer.

is this good?

Defoe 👍

Shearar is expenive, try someone like Gudjohnsen, or M. Baros, Kanu .as your second striker.

Duff and Ljungberg are good.

Buy Makalele and Scot parker in your midfield.

Get rid of amorouso, buy John terry, gary neville and sol campbell.

Err, get a different keeper.
Change the formation to 4 - 4 - 2

Not bad, but you have a lot of players that spend a lot of time on the bench. If you look at games played (GP) some of them are only 1 or 3. Try and get some players that will play regular football.

Better. I suppose it is going to be very difficult for you as you dont know any of the players or teams. Some good choices in there though.

My lot:

In goal is David "Calamity" James. Manchester City have a home game this week against a very dull Fulham side. I'm expecting a shut-out.

In defence we have Emerson Thome (Bolton at home to Charlton, who have striker issues right now), Olaf Mellberg (Villa at home to Southampton, who have all sorts of issues. Mellberg is also Villa's penalty taker) and Ashley Cole (Everton are dropping like stones - even if it is an away game for Arsenal).

The midfield is Jay-Jay Okocha (should shine in front of his own fans against a weak Charlton side), Kerimoglu Tugay (Blackburn are decidedly ropey, but Tugay gets forwards a lot and they're at home to West Brom), Thomas Helveg (Norwich at home to Palace in the battle of the new boys) and Robin van Persie (6.04 can't be argued with, especially after the Chastity Shield last weekend).

The strike force is Juan Pablo Angel (who took up scoring for fun towards the end of last year and is part of a revitalised Villa), Matija Kezman (hopefully Manchester United, away at Chelsea, will crumble like they did in the aforementioned Shield - and Mourinho will take round one of this year's big "psyche" war) and the star of the show... Reyes. Player of the season this year, mark my words.

I've gone for the "pick for the week" tactic. If Chelski weren't playing Manchester United, I might have more players from either team, but I've gone for mainly home players against weak/promoted sides. In fact, only three of my team will be away this week - all at Everton.

My favourites to go down are Everton, Fulham and Crystal Palace, with WBA, Charton, Norwich and Southampton in close attendance.

Damn those are some good pics, apart from James. Unless hes found a bit more confidence from the Euros anyway. I'm a tad biased, so most of mine are a bit Chelsea related. Although my striking partnership won't be good for the first game.

I just chose my team in about four minutes. I didn't check the rules either :blushes: Still, I'll be happy if my non-researched XI whoops Famine's boys!

So, you can change your team from week to week right? Hence Famine's squad. I thought I was kind of stuck with it for the season. Tonight I may have to have a rethink then.

Oh, so it's not permanently locked once the season starts?

Hmmmm.

I wont do much tinkering once the season starts. Barring injuries and such.

Beattie is Englands best striker. Better then the big headed kid

And Englands best diver is Ruud :D

I think the prices and such will change when the season kicks off. I thought Rommedahl was a striker and Reyes a midfielder though

Mike Rotch

But he's got top competition from Pires.

Every time I see Reyes play I swear he plays next to Henry, but I think i've seen him used in Pires's position as well.

I thought Reyes played behind Henry but infront of the midfield. At least Pires as a smaller chin.

Vieira isn't going to Real then, that could mean that anyone who wants a good cheap midfielder can now choose him. He probably won't play much though...

Saha is injured for the first few months too. 👎

Viera is too uncertain. He may still go, then that means a wasted midfielder. Joe Cole is cheap too.
