Dismantled the PS3 today. Lost a ribbon cable plug spent several hours looking for it without success. Was about to head for the pawn shop when I discovered a foreign object in my shirt pocket. Low & behold it was the missing plug. I finished the reassembly & I have the XMB menu, I'll load the game later.

I'll do the TT's once home and at the wheel.
Yea, now where are my glasses?? Oh, they're on my head!!

Being fast is irrelevant, Ozi. Taking part in Geezer events & having fun with fellow Geezers is most important.:confused:

Well said pa pa as long as you stay in good health and enjoy the challenge its good to see you taking part I always enjoy the open lobbys with my fellow Geezers and the friendly Banter to think I can talk to different people around the world is truly amazing and now some off us have the ps4 its even better we can play on each others console providing one of us has the game

The top two positions in the three TTs are really heating up! The gap in TT#3 between @zona99 and Pepper Mallard (@pmallard) is 9 milliseconds!

Welcome to fun-at-sixty (@funatsixty), who has posted first times in all three events, adding another sense of threat in my part of the list.

ozirules12 (@ozirules) and Whiteford48 (@????) have both posted times in TT#3, but I'm not seeing their times in the other two. Come on guys!

IMPORTANT! If you post an improved time (or a first time), please tell me via personal message. It's getting harder to wade through the Club Events and pick out which are showing an improvement.

And if I have missed any Geezers, let me know!

Great times Tom 👍

I've got a theory, a lot of you guys have got names with numbers at the end to (possibly) signify your date of birth, I therefore think Tom is only 15, (I can see some of you getting the calculators out now) and that's why he is so good, he's even got a deep voice when we race on-line......

Just kidding

I think you have the wrong century. But he's not as old as @geezer1791.

EDIT:-

Here is an updated list, with a new column. It might help you identify closer targets than Tom and Pepper ;)

Cells shaded red indicate that you're close to the guy above, and you are therefore a threat. Just might help you identify ways of creeping up the ladder!

Hey Tom (& et al), if Possum ever learns how to drive as fast as he can gather data, organize, calculate and update,
you are in BIG trouble. All I can say is WOW and thank you Possum.

It's my way of compensating for a lack of driving skills!

@waukazoo provided me with a heads-up in TT#2 for @jotafduarte who has shaved even more time off.

I'm going to dust off that steering wheel now! TT#1 is calling me.

Two more devilish Geezer Challenges.

Challenge 1 is to win the current Intermediate Seasonal at Apricot Hill (PP500) using the Jay Leno Tank Car. This Possum can't get close of course.

Challenge 2, which is more an experience than a challenge, has "X" Appeal. Take your Chaparral 2X out onto the Special X track in an arcade race. Put it on "Professional" and you'll find yourself in a fleet of nine other Chaparral 2Xs. With very little trouble, you should be able to "herd" them into a flock like the photo below. Tuck in behind them at 250mph and the collective draft will allow you to pretty much take your foot off the gas and coast. Listen for the wind noise to gauge the maximum draft effect. When things go quiet, you're in the wind shadow.

It makes for some fun photography!

Hi Tom, would you care to enlarge a little on this, I think I've missed something somewhere especially in the light of turning down an offer of a PS4 from Santa in favour of a new Tablet.

While I'm here I'd like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. :gtpflag:

Hi fellow Geezers had to have another go at this after seeing Pepper Mallard excellent time on TT 3 Now 1.17.732

When you click on "ROOM" wait 15 sec and if a room is already open for that TT it will appear, if no room appears you have to create one. You can make the choice to turn on mics (Mics Disabled is default) when you create the room, then if someone joins the room you can chat. Practice all you want, then click the checkered flag (all the way left) and you will have 10 min to set your best time (which will be recorded automatically). You can run as many 10 min times as you wish if you want to try for a better time. Last night Wauk was trying to get you to follow him around the track so that you could see his driving line but we couldn't chat with you for some reason.
Hang in there, you're gettin better all the time.

It has been a while since I posted on here but I have been following the action. I have something I came across and want to share with the group. ( I thought I already had) Maybe you already know about this, maybe you don't.

How do you save your tunes? With a pad of paper and a pencil. Endless pages of scribbles.
Wondering what you wrote down in wee hours. Can you even find that special tune without a long search through multiple pages of your notebook?

How would you like to have your own database? Able to search tunes via pp, tuner, model year, car type, drive train, or even your own personnel notes. All your tunes in one place. Here it is.

I have been using this database for a while now and it has replaced my pad of paper along with my own xcell spread sheet. The guy who designed this page is one of the most caring and thoughtful people I have met on GT planet. I was having issues so I contacted him and he sent me a 20 minute video tutorial of exactly what was the correct process. You can see my comments on his thread.

Merry Christmas to all and a happy, safe and healthy new year.
