It has been a while since I posted on here but I have been following the action. I have something I came across and want to share with the group. ( I thought I already had) Maybe you already know about this, maybe you don't.

How do you save your tunes? With a pad of paper and a pencil. Endless pages of scribbles.
Wondering what you wrote down in wee hours. Can you even find that special tune without a long search through multiple pages of your notebook?

How would you like to have your own database? Able to search tunes via pp, tuner, model year, car type, drive train, or even your own personnel notes. All your tunes in one place. Here it is.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...u-create-maintain-your-own-collection.318155/

I have been using this database for a while now and it has replaced my pad of paper along with my own xcell spread sheet. The guy who designed this page is one of the most caring and thoughtful people I have met on GT planet. I was having issues so I contacted him and he sent me a 20 minute video tutorial of exactly what was the correct process. You can see my comments on his thread.

Merry Christmas to all and a happy, safe and healthy new year.
I've tried several, none I would care to recommend.
  1. Notebooks
    1. Mess, no index, & prone to entry errors.
  2. Spread Sheets
    1. While this is searchable it is near impossible to keep a synced version current on all my various devices.
  3. Photos
    1. Tune parameters bigger than a single screen so several are needed for each tab & not searchable.
  4. Videos
    1. Similar issues to photos ie. searchable though each car can be kept in a single video & renaming can assist in the finding efforts.
I am considering a video capture device so all the media would be central to my PC & in a separate folder.

  • Spread Sheets
    1. While this is searchable it is near impossible to keep a synced version current on all my various devices.

I have a few spreadsheets which I keep synchronized across my devices. If it was Excel, I'd be even happier, but it's not.

I use Apple's "Numbers" spreadsheets across my two Macs, my iPad and iPhone.

Numbers is partially compatible with Excel, and conversion from Excel to Numbers for such an application as this might work OK. Certainly, the synchronization function is very, very good.

Ah ... i will be at work!

Greetings from The Cumberland Plateau in Eastern Tennessee. As you guys know I am a FNG who drives mostly in SNAIL and WRS where I am the next to oldest driver at 68...fellow drivers really freak out when they find out that I am "of a certain age", and that was a Military Aviator with two SEA Tours, and more importantly I was still alive!!

Here I am probably the middle of the arc in the bell curve.

Besides racing with the young whippersnappers in SNAIL and WRS I also raced last year in a series of Endurance Races put on by Brit named AJ and got classified as a Bronze Driver (Drivers, just like in the FIA) are graded from top to bottom Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze by speed and more importantly by experience. Bronze is basic beginner with a couple of races (or a REALLY SLOW driver with lots of experience). Well I did the 24 Heures Du Mans, and the Nurburgring 6 hours...and I really thought it was cool to be part of a team and actually finish. At the end of the season AJ told us all to look out for a really big announcement .

You have seen the announcement in the GTP news...AJ's unofficial series has been deemed to be the next GTP sanctioned series....the other two being GTP_WRS TTs and GTP_WRS Online Racing....and is now known as the GTP_Endurance Series. There will be 12 Races in length from 6 Hours to 24 Hours. Teams will have up to 8 drivers plus two reserve drivers. To get an Franchise (entry) around 40 teams filed and was a bit of a chore and I assumed that my chances were at best 50/50.

Prior to the Franchise Applications being submitted I had and idea for a unique Team. I ran this idea by AJ ...how about a team made up of Disabled Civilians (100%) or 50% or more disabled for Military Veterans, or Military Veterans over 55. He replied that he liked it and that I should apply for a Franchise.

I did...and got TWO. We will race 4 races in GT-Cup and 8 in GT LM .Currently DART ( Disabled American Racing Team or Disabled Ancient Racing Team) has two confirmed drivers. @euclid58 is a 100% disabled civilian (56)...and me, @Nail-27 a 100% a disabled veteran (68). I am looking for any of you who meet any of the criteria who might want to join Euclid and me in what is going to be a real adventure.

If interested please PM me. Time is not critical in that neither of our classes are entered for Daytona but I would like to know where we stand by the first of the year. What will be needed is the ability to drive two stints of @ two hours without having to change your IV :ill:. And not be dead slow.

Sorry for the length but I was really tickled to find this group and hoped that some might like to be included in this new series. AND if any of you are blindingly fast...pretty please ....help us out.

Today's update shows a lot of activity, with the top positions being fiercely competitive.

As always, please advise me of errors and omissions.

I've created the GTP-Geezers Club in the Game Community. The Club ID is 1002024 it is private so if you need, send a friend request to SCClockDr-GT5 in the XMB menus. Club search seems to be missing the entry thus far, may need to settle on the servers first (???) not sure. The ID # worked though.
Hi Fanapryde

I believe you'll need an invitation from SCClockDr in order to get into the Geezer club (in the community area). Waukazoo has also created the Relics Garage where the time trials are taking place for the event you noted. First get into the Geezer club via Clock Dr also contact Wauk about an invite to the Relics garage. Use the club ID to find the Club after you receive the invitations. Wauk will have to get you the Relics room ID. Hope this helps and welcome. I'm currently at work so I can't do much from here.

Thanks.
I did join the Geezer Club via SCClockDr.
Wauk also contacted me, but the Relics room is new to me.
Sorry for this, I seldom do online races, while during earlier tries I mostly ended up in rooms filled with 🤬
No fun in that...

umm me two...how about a trail of bread crumbs....or kitty litter...

The "Relics Garage" is not a "room", it's a "Club". It's owned by @waukazoo and he has to invite you. You then join the Club via the Community button, then Clubs, then Search for Clubs.

Scroll down to "Enter Club ID", Wauk's club is Club number 1020197.

Once you're a member, go to the Clubs section, select Relics Garage, select Club Events, and you'll see a screen like the one below.

Click on each in turn, sign up for each.

Then, you use the green Room Button, then the blue Create Room button and you will have created a room.

It's convoluted! Let me know if this helps.

In the address bar, change the /jp/ to /us/

Been doing this for a few days now. Soon as you sign in it bounces you to the Japan site.
