From Portugal with sunshine I wish MERRY CHRISTMAS to all friends Geezers and a great 2015 with good health for everibody and pace in all the world
After doing some TT's at the Came Ring today, I guess I should be looking for some speed...What are you trying to find?
After doing some TT's at the Came Ring today, I guess I should be looking for some speed...
Geez, you guys are FAST !
But I am a total noob in online things. While doing some laps I got a chat message, asking if I was using mic. I just bought one, was not using it, but I did not even know how to respond, while driving. Broke off my lap, parked the car, and produced an answer. By that time, the other guy had already left the room.
Went looking for a manual about how to do all this, but could not find anything useful.
If the blue lines are a distraction, you can turn them off, as long as you have a button mapped to do so.
Here is a summary table of the Time Trial results to date. The fastest in each is recorded at 100%, and the rest of us are recorded as a percentage of the leader's speed. These percentages are averaged across the three TTs in the rightmost column.
I have a theory that for any one driver, the three percentages should be fairly close to each other. If one is lower than the others, then that's where there may be payoff in grinding more laps.
For example, I have two results just over 98%, which is probably as far as I'm going to go in the next little while. My TT#3 is significantly under 98%, so that's where, in my opinion, I'd be best off focusing my efforts, rather than continuing to .
On the other hand, TT#3 is not my most comfortable event, being a not-so-skilled driver. So maybe I can't squeeze more there.
But further up the list, @nosoks looks to have some room in TT#2. @Daduce1947 might want to concentrate on TT#1. @RocknSoul has some opportunity in TT#3 and so on. At least that's my theory!

If you check your percentages, look for your weakest spot (lowest percentage) and you just might find the corner where there is a little more to gain.
Hope this helps. I'm going back to see if I can win that Jaguar in the Seasonal, and if I can find my way through the forest of friends' lines, I might just get the final 0.174 seconds
I have my BT keyboard attached, but I don't really know the drill ? While driving, can you pause to answer ?I understand what you mean when racing and getting a chat message while driving. I don't have my keyboard attached so by the time I get around to answering it seems like a useless thing to respond. One thing you might pay attention to when starting a room in the TT's is to enable microphones when you make the room. I had not seen that option until it was pointed out to me a few days ago.

Thanks for the tip to enable mic in the room.
I have surround 5.1 installed which I like better than driving with the Sony Pulse headset (good immersion in the game, but it gets really warm and that is bothering me after a while)
Do you guys use the mic while driving ? Seems disturbing ?
Anyway: HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all of you

I pass on the right. I think is very difficult on the left and I pass easily the last car,but whithout ghost lines.I hope to helpA question on another subject. That Jaguar Seasonal.
Do you pass the first car on the left or right? I find that if I'm lucky enough to squeeze through on the left, I seem to be set up better for the first corner and following straight. However, it's easier for me to take the right, and in the early stages, I'm ahead of almost all ghost lines, so I lose that advantage later. I'm thinking that if the first corner on the inside is working for me I should stick with it and hunt down the later mistakes.
What's your approach?
All the freinds ghost lines may be turned off and on by pushing the up button. Sometimes when I'm really quick and there are only a few squiggles ahead I will leave them on as incentive but when first starting a challenge I leave it off because it drives me nuts and as noted blocks braking points and generally distracts me.Papa, that was the hint I needed! I knew there was a way.
...I pass easily the last car...
Passing car #1 on the left gives you a much better approach for the first righthander and is clearly faster.A question on another subject. That Jaguar Seasonal.

Merry Christmas geezers! I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday, family and friends.
Well the 3 TT's are over and Possum has done an exceptional job of keeping track and posting the result's. Thank you.
I've been going over the results and swaping driver combonations around to match teams, scratching my head, and wearing out erasers. But I think I've made up teams that should provide some very close racing for everyone. This will require two club rooms. Anyone willing to host one of the rooms?
Room 1
Team Green
Zona99 - Super GT
elgcee42 - GT500
Whiteford48 - GT300
Team Red
JotaFDuarte - Super GT
Old Geezer - GT500
Geezer1791 - GT300
Team Blue
Pepper Mallard - Super GT
PapaGnr - GT500
GBO Possum - GT300
Room 2
Team Yellow
Stewyripper - Super GT
Mots63 - GT500
Karter995 - GT300
Team Silver
daduce1947 - Super GT
NoSoks - GT500
Fun at Sixty - GT300
Team Orange
Oldboy1943 - Super GT
Macdog54 - GT500
Wheeler Turner - GT300
Team White
Waukazoo - Super GT
Rock-n-Soul - GT500
Ozirules12 - GT300
Now is the time for anyone that is going to race or not going to race to take a moment and post here. Please let me know your intentions so I can redo all the teams in time for everyone to know what team they are on and cars they are using.
The time and date that works best for the race is the second weekend of January.
These are the race start times in a span of areas across the globe. If you notice a discrepancy for a time in your area, please let me know.
Jan.11 in Los Angeles at 9pm Sat., in New York at 12 midnight Sat., in London at 5am Sun., in Helsinki at 7am Sun., in West Java at 12 noon Sun., in Australia at 3pm Sun.
More info to come. Happy Holidays!

Thanks for setting this up!
Is the plan to do all five events back-to-back? I think I've lost the plot!
Merry Christmas!!
