@cholvak. I don't think that would work. You can change your system's date, but that won't fool the internet where such an update would be downloaded from.

Maybe true. BUT! not all people have internet connection, so it's a little bit unfair to choose this way. That's why I thought, if there was some locked content, then it would be opened at the specific moment, which is the date of release.

I KNOW 10GB is the largest install for a console game. There are PC games that are 2-10 times that large, but, it's definitely the largest console game install.

You got to be kidding! I don't have any games that are 20-100GB on my PC! :dunce:
GTA4 runs up at 15+GB, that's the largest so far

Amar, a big thank you for posting all these updates. Love to hear more from you when you discover the world of GT5 even more. The spoilers are great, especially because I don't have to read them :D

Can you shed any light regarding the needed level for Endurance races in GT5? Love to hear from you regarding that topic.

Amar, congrats on being the first GT5 player in Europe :)
and thank you for the excellent writeup and your time & trouble you put into this 👍

thanks amar, very professional review.
WHAT ABOUT DYNAMIC WEATHER?
Does weather change during race and we can change tire in slick, intermediate or heavy rain?
I know NOT in all track but i hope it's possible and dynamic weather exist
at least in some tracks! (and online!)

There really are a couple 20GB PC games and some more advanced ones that are much larger.

I don't remember having a 15GB initial install for GTA IV. Is it really that big? I can't find any proof.

Great preview to the game, Amar. And thank you for explaining what I can expect in term of the driving physics: I love the Spec III physics update and head over heels with the one in GT Academy. My G25 is looking forward to the new FFB code, "...more refined than in Prologue and/or Academy TT Demo, yet it is more complex but feels more natural." Sounds absolutely delicious!

Greetings from Portugal/switzerland! and , Thank you very much for these Review.

btw, my 60GB died 6 weeks ago. Now i Pre Ordered the GT5 Bundle Ps3 slim 320GB (:

Release date 24nov in my House! :D

See you guys online ! <3

Thanks for the review Amar. Thats wthat everybody wantsto know. Could You please tell us something about standard car views. ? Is there any hood view like in some replays? or only roof, bumper and behind a car?
Maybe there's a posibility of changing the roof view just like interior view (options like: upper, lower cam etc.) ?
I will be really excited if You could answer my question.
Thanks again for the review, thats mean a lot to us :sly:

Awesome Amar! 👍 Thanks a million for your efforts!

GT5 won't be using 50gB, it might even fit on a single-layer, there's 200 premium, 800 standards and 27 tracks, it might look like there's a lot, but there isn't. Prologue latest spec takes 2145 mB, it's roughly about 5 times less content with its 74 cars and 6 tracks, even if it was 10 times more content in GT5, that's far from filling a 50gB BluRay. Even God of War 3, wich is the biggest game on PS3 with 40gB has about 6gB (iirc, or is it 10gB) of files that are present in multiple places on the disc to improve loading and around 12-13gB of "DVD extras", now if you add up all the different language for the voice overs you get a singlelayer BluRay. Unless the museum has a presentation of every cars and tracks with historic videos and a voice over description of each of them by Vettel, I don't see where they are gonna find the content to fill 50gB.

to back up my god of war 3 claims

Thank you Amar, the extreme quality of the physics is what I wanted to hear more than anything else. GT is always satisfying while driving a car. Now I really can't wait to get the game next wednesday and further on a DFGT.

Good stuff Amar 👍

This thread is like a magnet, I could'nt stop myself highlighting that spoiler text :dunce:

Outstanding work Amar 👍

I remember how you revealed information about GT5P in a similar thread and I'm really looking forward to your updates in this one. :)

Hi Amar, thanks for putting these details up for everyone. I know some people think of these as spoilers but personally for me, playing the game is where it's at, not being surprised by the various game modes.

Anyway, I'm not sure if you're going to be reading through the thousands of replies you'll be getting, but I was wondering if you were able to clear something up with regards to the steering wheel configuration. I have a Driving Force Pro (yes, I should upgrade, I know) and found it pretty frustrating in Prologue that there was no option to switch from the full 900 degrees of rotation to the 190 degree option. It meant that when you were driving the F2007 you were having to drive it like a regular road car. That was a bit of a dealbreaker for me, to be honest, so it would be great to know if you have the options for wheel rotation.

Ideally it would switch automatically when you were driving something like a kart of F1 car, but so long as I can actually select the options myself, that'd be great. You could do it in GT4 so I imagine it will be an option in GT5.

Thank you Amar 👍
glad the winds are not whispering anymore and it is real stuff.

I'm not reading the spoilers, since I trust your judgment on this, thanks for leaving some surprise. I agree good to know all gold releases another car then when you have some bronze.

Some questions:

If you have all Gold from first time: do several cars release = the all levels gold car, the passing the level car, maybe sometime a all levels silver car, ....
or should you fiddle = not come in above bronze to get the first car, improve to silver to get the next, improve to gold to get the final.

My first ride was Trial Mountain with F40, S1 tyres, all aids OFF (ABS on 1).

Still very mysterious to me:
1) The game imported automatically GT5p cars?
2) You have enough budget at the start to by a F40?
3) You can use any car in time trial, even the ones you did not buy for career mode?

Also very interested in the DLC.
My pre-order states I need to download the Chrome models, I guess the same is true for the Stealth ones. Let us know if you get to try downloading something like this.
