Can I get confirmation that it is possible to have either

A) 2 seperate savegames, so i can have a save alone, and my wife can have a save.
B) can install and save, on 2 different profiles: so i can play off+online, and she can play offline.
C) No chance we can use 1 game only, and need to buy 2 games?

ps: Thanks for taking the time away from the game to answer questions, in all honesty i dont know if i could :)

As I remember you can (like in GT5:P ) use two accounts and play them separately. Like i did with my wife :)
You don't need to buy two games or anything just log in as another account.

Notice how Amar damage-control like a fanboy after every flaw he notices :dopey: Ok we heard about the 256mb video ram can you tell us again please for the 5th times ?

This review is ridiculousely biased but it gives a nice insight of the game so thanks anyway ....

You obviously do not know Amar's posting history but if you think he is a blind fanboy of GT think again. Amar is not a GT-only player and his opinions and reviews about other games are as trusted as the ones about GT.

In any case, try to understand why so many people trust his reviews. It's not because they are fanboys. Quite the opposite, it's because they know Amar knows what he's talking about and has enough knowledge of other games/franchises to be able to actually compare.

PS - I guess neither Amar nor any other of the early players will get to Endurance Events before I get the game myself. PLease, A.S.A.P. I'd like to know if it is possible to save 24 hour races in the pits.

The object of the series has always been the same; to try to recreate the feeling of driving a car on different surfaces, using different types of cars, with different drive-trains, tyres, engine sizes, etc, and attempt to capture that feeling of controlling said cars.

What it isn't claiming to be is: The Real Damage Simulator.
What it isn't claiming to be is: The Real 1000 Cars Accurately Modelled Simulator.
What it isn't claiming to be is: The Real Alloy Wheel Swap Simulator.
What it isn't claiming to be is: The Real Fit Fibreglass To Your Pimped Ride Yo Simulator.

This could be a long post but i will try to keep it short.....

1st point - why would polyphony digital take 6 years of making this game with the want for perfection, sampling sounds, driving cars, testing at the track, trying to recreate those physics in the game to not model then to 100% accuracy?

The part of your post i highlighted in bold is with good intentions of explaining that to have taken 6 years to creat a game in the want of perfection you have to realise that to recreate these physics you have to be able to tune a car.

In the tuning of a car that will be driven on a race track one of the most important features is getting the suspension/geometry right for the driver.

To achieve this in almost 100% of applications the wheels must be changed to reduce rotational mass to increase performance or accomodate larger brakes/wider tires. Standard wheels just arent up to the mark.

In a lot of applications the aero aspect of a car is changed to achieve better performance at the track not to 'Pimp' out the car in any way at all.

This game is all about race track driving after all.

Yes yes. Sony's keystone software title to their entire PS3 market strategy is being guerilla marketed to the GTPLANET website audience. Brilliant.

I could also put it another way: Why is he not entering GT life mode but lamenting about some missing music tracks instead? I would give you a screenshot from every single GT life menu screen and tell you what this game is really about.

Amar, you're only replying to the people who are being negative towards you. That's not really fair on the rest of us who really like your review. You should be spending your time answering the real questions, like:

Can I have your copy of GT5?

and

How soon can you get it to me?

:) Thanks for the hands on overview mate

It doesn't say "review" but "overview", great difference :)

As for physics, I really find them exactly as described. Of course, it is purely subjective matter, but I also said that in more than few places. It is my personal overview, based on my purely subjective feel.

Somebody could find it oppositely different, and as always in life, we will both be right :)

Thank you for your psychological and professional expertise of my person, it has been noted ;)

Read the front page......
No worries and yes your right not say things are of your opinion/own findings.

Amar212, infamous GT insider and founder of Croatian fan-site GT Surgeons, finally has his hands on a copy of Gran Turismo 5! Instead of sharing pictures or videos, though, he’s focused on providing hard-core fans with all the details in a comprehensive and thorough review of the game.

I ask cause lately several games have introduced actions to stop this. In form of codes, registrations etc.

I want to be 100% sure from someone playing GT5, and not any random game :)

If i need 2 games, i really need pre-order one more, as they highly doubt there is even enough for preorders here....

Thanks for all your hard work Amar.

I must say some people on this forum need to think before they type. Amar could have got the game. Write his review on his forum and gave this forum the middle finger. Instead he puts it all on here for us to read and enjoy. Shame on you guys for bagging him out instead of appreciating his hard work.

/rant

I was hoping to create point to point road tracks. Wait, I remember a video where we could see a road point to point, with its road signs, rails etc etc.

do you guys remember?

I'm looking for this feature too... but to create touge tracks as seen in Kaido Battle series

Since we have Special Stage Route 7 that remembers me the Shutokou Battle series, it would be awesome to have something like Kaido Battle too.

I could also put it another way: Why is he not entering GT life mode but lamenting about some missing music tracks instead? I would give you a screenshot from every single GT life menu screen and tell you what this game is really about.

that's more putting something totally different a totally different way. But i'm glad you acknowledge the claim that this is Sony marketing is insanely stupid.

He's giving his story, in a few days you'll be able to give yours.

Well said!

Amar, you're doing an awesome job here for us, might help me to survive until I have the game next week.

Thanks. :)

If as Amar said he's playing the licences first then he should get a very good feel for the physics of the game on varius vehicles.

I found that in all of the previous GT games. Thats how I have always started.

Once again many thanks Amar for your well written view of GT5.

Amar, you have made some very big comments about the handling/physics of GT5.
Surprisingly very early on with limited gameplay or usage of FWD, RWD, 4WD cars.

While I do not doubt your experience with the GT games I am wondering if that's partially from having "New Toy Syndrome" fuelled by the excitment of playing the game?

Your impression seems to point to how this instantly feels improved and unique.
So I hope it is as good as you make it out to be.

I dont think this thread should be titled as a review, however more of a first, "On Hand / Experienced" look at the game.
Such a huge game would require much deeper time/gameplay used to form an analysis.
It should also be more subjective if being called or looked upon as a review. However thats just my own opinion.

Have you played GT Prologue?

Did you play with the TT Academy Demo?

If you played those two games, in that order, how many turns or car changes did you need to realize the change in physics in TT Academy Demo?

Even though my personal opinion on Prologue's AI is so far removed from Amar's that even NASA couldn't get between the two, that's fine, I think he's doing a great job in at least giving us credible information..

I'm happy for him to share his subjective opinions on AI/Physics, His comments about the differences in physics to Prologue/the TT really do help my expectations of them..

Keep up the good work!!!

This could be a long post and i will make it shorter..

The part of your post i highlighted in bold is with good intentions of explaining that to have taken 6 years to create a game in the want of perfection you have to realise that to recreate these physics you have to be able to understand how to tune a car.

In the tuning of a car that will be driven on a race track, one of the most important features is getting the suspension/geometry right for the driver.
This is very true 👍

To achieve this in almost 100% of applications the wheels must be changed to reduce rotational mass to increase performance or accomodate larger brakes/wider tires. Standard wheels just arent up to the mark.
This also 👍

In a lot of applications the aero aspect of a car is changed to achieve better performance at the track not to 'Pimp' out the car in any way at all.
My apologies if I get sarcastic at times, it's what comes from being VEXD ;)

This game is all about race track driving after all.

I disagree.
This game is all about driving.
There are some race trax included for you to drive on.
Or try to.
Standard wheels just aren't up to the mark, and I wholeheartedly agree, but if you fit race wheels/tyres to every car you drive, you won't feel such a significant difference between a Honda Civic, and an Alfa Romeo GT.
If you keep the same wheels/tyres as they have in a showroom, you may just get the impression that the GT is a heavier car, with more understeer, with not so poised, independent rear suspension as the Honda.
I am for example, looking forward to feeling the difference of the FN2 civic to the EP, as one has independent rear, the other does not. It will be the way the game feels to drive that I will enjoy, or not. Racing is something I will do with friends, which will give me even more enjoyment, and I will probably do it in the 200 new cars, but nearly always with the same parameters for each competitor.
The Real Racing Simulator, it is not pertaining to be.

Oh, and I forgot to say, Thanx Amar!

:irked:👍

As mentioned many times, I think what Amar says is excellent. I don't want him showing me all the screenshots, telling me prize cars etc as I want to find all that out for myself. Instead, I want to read about someone who is impressed with the game. And with only 1 weekend between me and the game i'd happily settle for nothing. GT5 is here, lets enjoy the few days build up.

SO EXCITED!

Thank you Amar :) Your updates are the only reason I even visit this site anymore. The community here is awful and I can't wait till I don't have to come back.

Hey Amar, thanks for your excellent review so far !
Any chance you could try to import a psp car collection or a Prologue savegame into GT5 ?
Thx a lot :)

You misunderstand the direction of my questioning...

It is fair in questioning his opinion being so "productive" possibly with a degree of hype/excitment generated. Thats a realistic question to ask. However not meant in a bad way but to be clear if he really finds it so good so early and considering the following....

"From my first byte at physics and overall options - and all at this point have been into Options and Arcade modes only,

He continues by mentioning improvements with refinement, yet being more complexed/substantial and natural.
So by this report it seems evident the physics/handling and wheel performance are very good for a console game.

The report/overview is well balanced and appreciated. I just want to be sure its not being fuelled by "anticipation/excitment". Which it doesnt generally seem to be but its very informative/detailed on so little play testing regards the comments on wheel feedback/physics. I wanted to question and raise that factor...

Lets see if the people here instantly find it so improved or different, including yourself...

I have 2 questions for you Amar for the Q&A / FAQ:

- multilanguage support or single language?
- Weight transfer when engaging the clutch (front -rear) ?

Thanks
Appreciate the time you take to give us a review instead of playing ;)

Just like GT4 all over again!!

Thanks Amar212 for the time you take in making these threads, I always appreciated it when you did it for GT4 and now again for GT5. 👍

He already got his hands early on GT4? Some more puzzling coincidence...

Exactly the reason why I do not talk about actual content, GT Life mode details and I agree with you 100% 👍

So, in your opinion, are there some nice surprises for us in GT Life?

And thank you very much for your overview of the game. It's great to hear that the physics are even better.
