I like your idea mike, i dont like 2 multiple classes in 1 race, but a separate GT Class race maybe a good to have.

Can I pose the question on here that if any drivers end up on a reserve list they can be sent my series' way?

Tested the 905 today, and it was...not as brilliant as I thought. Though I was strictly limited to offline physics, so I have no idea how it'll LITERALLY go.

Coming out of the corners the 905 feels like its on a Slip 'n' Slide without ASM on. It was really noticeable on Daytona, less so on Indy and Grand Valley. Also on Suzuka I FORGOT to change the options so I got more understeer :dunce: and it rained on my Monza and Sarthe tests. Bloody nightmare, I tell you... :grumpy:

And also I kinda overestimated the gearbox a bit - it's not as rapid as I thought it was, but at least it's better than the GT4 gearbox where you could cook an entire roast dinner and it still wouldn't have changed gear. Even if you can't cook.

Btw, I think when the PSN is up and running again there will be a Sauber C9 avalable to buy in the OCD, don't forget to get yours. Having as many LMPs and group C cars as possible is naturally better than only having a few to choose from. And the Sauber is really great.

C-Zeta: Yep, the 905 is tricky. Idk if you have used someone's setup, but I know mine is pretty okay to control it. Maybe it slows it down too much, but its handling is great :) I always recommend another car over the 905.

Today I tried to fix the Judd - GV5 Pesky and I succeeded to some point. Its top speed is fantastic, a real La Sarthe specialist's car, just want to try it in online physics first before claiming it's good.

Also, I don't understand why the Jag XJR-9 is available for use. It's hopeless, 4 seconds slower per lap on Grand Valley compared to the MINOLTA. It's simply too slow, just like the R10.

I was using the setup that bermudakid himself provided somewhere. He also has one for the Minolta somewhere too. Might consider the 787B Stealth...its either that, the 905 or nothing since everyone wants a seat with the 908 (which I have both of) and the Minolta is taken from my knowledge. Have the R10 Stealth but I reckon it'll be just too slow.

Now I wish I'd kept the Sauber I traded for an F10 I think...too bad I wasted all of my money on my tuning cars.

There's also the Sauber. It should be available in the OCD once PSN is up again if you've got the 5.4 mils.

I don't like the C9's driving views. It has basically two bumper views and chase view. I would need a roof view to drive it properly. Can't use bumper or chase. Don't see why everyone likes bumper?

The tried the 905 and i applied power out of corners as other LMP's and it was sliding about like Jeremy Clarkson on an ice ring (sorry, bad comparison:indiff:). Im not a fan of it at all despite it's lightweight structure.

The Judd is very good at La Sarthe and I found daytona but at technical tracks like Suzuka I struggled with it. Plus at a place like Suzuka there is no chance to make use of that amazing straight line speed.

To think I used to drive that Jag a lot :nervous:

I just think. If there are multiple classes run, which doesn't have anything else in common other than being run at the same tracks, why should they share a thread. No offense, but it's like having two series with two different rule sets in one thread. Might as well have them seperated ;)

It would be a big job to create a LMGT1 series if all cars have to be competitve. Just see how long it took us to get these cars to be competitive - we are starting season 3 ;)
Yeah I hate multiple classes in one race. 16 drivers in the same class is the way to go.

I don't think there is any need for a whole season of LMGT1 racing. Maybe just a race to go along with the LMP race at la Sarthe, so we can have a bigger classification table with 25-30 entries instead of 16.

Circuit de la Sarthe is special, so two races of separate classes would make it interesting as well.

That said, balancing a few LMGT1-type cars would take some work, for sure.

If the regs are 680hp like someone stated a while back I think the R10 will be competitive. It was only a touch slower @ 750hp regs.

905 is a decent car, anything over its 750kgs weight though hinders it a lot. You do need touchy throttle control coming out of the corners though with the little weight on it. With even less hp the weight plays a bigger difference on the acceleration, so could be a strong contender if you can tame it.

The racing we had in testing with 680hp was really great and really competitive.

I think the only person who could maybe pull off the R10 is Mav. At these power settings this maybe be the only chance for it to make an appearance and be competitive. I really want to drive it but I can't seem to fix it's massive understeer entering a corner then the extremely massive overseers on exit.

Right. It reaches the same top speed as some other cars with the 680hp limit. However, the manner in which it needs to be driven shaves too many seconds off to make a good lap time. I could only imagine how difficult it would be to drive on worn tires.

Hi guys , PSN not working think you need to postpone THE race still Same error code 8002A203... Lets be patient!

In my opinion i think 680 hp is à very good idea much closer racing And Its all about having a good setup being consistent and driver abilities . i hate the idea too split the championship in two groups hop

Edit: srry for double post

There are 9 hours 'till race start. We can only hope that Sony will fix it. I hate the fact that we haven't been able to practice the last few days.

With every hour that passes I'm getting more and more worried that the race may have to be aborted. Sony don't seem to be in any rush.

I'm not bothered too much about PSN. I'm doing what you did and have booted up F1 2010. I'm in season 3 and I want to move to Ferrari because Alonso is a better in-game team mate compared to Webber (wish I had Vettel) and I've nearly taken Massa's seat.

thinking about creating a new Social Group, i cant delete the old one but i want to reorganize it so we can use it better

lol i just re-installed F1 2010 on computer had nothing too do but guess what its really great ONLINE! but, still i want too play GT5, hope they recover their problems soon as possible (Sony)

Then just kick everyone out but yourself - good solution, lol ;) But yeah, maybe create a new one, although there wasn't much to re-organize in the old one, it would be a good place to put the pics of the races so that they don't take up too much space in the Season 3 thread.
