skyrim is shocking on the ps3, I sold it within an hour after I bought it lol. However at christmas when I went over the my parents I played it on my brothers top end desktop and damn its soo cool lol.
I would say if you have a decent desktop or gaming laptop then get it on there rather than the ps3

The main thing you should consider before buying Skyrim on the PS3 is to know about its huge fault, the game-breaking lag that will happen IF you play too much on one game, usually around 60-100hrs depending on playing style. So if you plan on only playing one character to the max level, then don't get it. I can live with not completing everything in one game 
Always get it for PC if possible, but as I don't have a PC that's good enough for it, the PS3 it was. Haven't had any problems yet, so no problem for me.

How much different is the physics in online and offline? I did those seasonals with LMPs (World tour) with the 905 and it drove like a dream on racing hards. Tried the Pesky, and it felt like a boat.
Always get it for PC if possible, but as I don't have a PC that's good enough for it, the PS3 it was. Haven't had any problems yet, so no problem for me.

Get Skyrim then. And the Elves are cool. High Elves (Altmer) may be best at magic as they are very gifted in it but the simple fact is they are awesome fighters because exactly 30 years before the game is set in the year 171 of the Fourth Era they started a war with the Empire after making an agreement to form the Aldermeri Dominion in alliance with the Wood Elves (Bosmer) and they had the Empire by the skin of their teeth and rather than crush, they made a peace treaty. They even sack the Imperial City. I would of loved to of been there when that happened (I would like to side with the Thalmor as I like High Elves) but it outdates my OBLIVION character my about 150 odd years you know.
But anybody can use magic. I am an Orc now (Started again on Monday) and I have magic too. THe birth race magical effects have little effect on the whole game. Choose the race that looks cool, not based on birthsign effects and stuff. You can make yourself who you want to be. You craft your own path. One of my favourite moments in the game is when you get to go on the tour of Claxitos Museum of Curiosities in Windhelm. One object is the book of fate. Most people see their fate written out in the book for them too read. Some see only blank pages. You are told that this could be because it means imminent death OR the reader (yourself) has no destiny written and can craft their own.

What lag? On my High Elf save (Level 32, all main factions complete and main quest, Probably about 100 hours play time, 10mb + save) I experienced lag around the 6-9mb area but then I went back to it on my birthday. The lag was all but gone. Well, it was in tiny unnoticable ammounts but I get this blurring effect at the bottom of the screen so I think 1.3 enabled minor screen tearing on my screen at the bottom... reducing lag.

I couldn't be bothered to read any of that I'm afraid. I read glimpses of it and to be honest it means nothing to me as I don't have a clue about Skyrim.
And that's why I haven't been on GT5. Revision. I'm sure I can spare an hour on Saturday night to chill without failing everything

bombe, bombe, bombe. It is the history that makes Skyrim last for multiple hundreds of hours. Play the game and you experience what feels like a realistic world where you cna craft your own way through it. Read the books in game and you will feel like you are walking on stones that carry the blood of hundreds of years of bloody and violent history. Once you get into that, it is the only gam series where you feel like the game world is ancient and has a history to it. Strange feeling.
Oh and my reply to bombe saying I should be a stealthy assassin is going to leave him enternaly scared and very jealous of the generously bestowed Orcs.

Also, I quite like that Citroen minivan. Beats the stuff currently on the streets.

I did some "testing" today and i cant do 21s with the softs, with an out lap and by lap 2 ive lost to much grip. shooting for a 24s now.

I played Skyrim it sucked, just a bunch of stabbing wolves with old fashioned weapons. Racing cars is much funner! Sorry don"t hate on me

Nissen and I did a Full Diatance Simulation Race today. We all know who won.
Me, of course! Surprisingly, I made zero mistakes, and my pace was very good on a 4 stopper. Feeling confident, after destroying Niss by well over 20 seconds.
To be fair, he did make a mistake on lap 1, that put him 11 seconds down, and he went for a 3 stopper, which went wrong, when he didn't put the right tyres on to make it work. My 4 stop strategy worked out well, and I think that a 3 could be possible, but 4 may still be the fastest way to the finish. Feeling good for a win on Saturday. So long as my qualifying race doesn't get ruined by amf.

Lol... I was just posting to make others scared, lol... I only did 3.8 laps testing on softs..... out, the 3.22 maybe a 3.26 then ran out of tires
did another 2 laps on hards, running a 3:32... haven't touched it since... Well the wheel, did do a 24hr bspec race in the winter break, lol

You did have the GT-One which is meant to be the fastest car hear while Johnny was in the Mercedes C9 (I think he is, was in that car all the time during practice for Laguna).
