Brought the Car DLC (not interested in a giant oval) and the premium Jaguar is pretty damn cool. I can't comment on whether it's faster then it's standard version but it looks stunning and the sense of speed you get in cockpit is amazing. Also, the headlights during night is great too! :P

Bought the car and track DLC packs. The Jag is fabulous but it lacks top end speed. The default setup has massive understeer too so I need to find a setup. Apart from that, it handles great. Haven't compared it to the standard version though.

I really wanted to use a different car for next season but the HP is way too low. Looks like I'll have to stick with the 908, again... :(

I'll use the Jag i think, i prefer no teams for S6 and no Reserves :) or just 1 or 2, but that's just me.

I've always been terrible at GT5. However I have friends that make me look like Vettel. And I have family who can't drive in a straight line.

I'm trying not to play racing games much in these next few weeks because I have started driving lessons and have to get used to threading the wheel through my hands, unlike race car driving.

I drive like I'm in a race car everyday!

Edit: I found a better meme to show the expression on my face when I read that ..

considering the following
Daytona Road
Indy Road
Monza
Fuji
Suzuka
Spa
Nurburgring
Laguna
Tokyo R246

soooo many choices.

[ I hate fuji, but i always consider it when deciding on what tracks to use in a new season]

Indy sucks, I don't like Fuji or Laguna either. I'm with Daytona, Suzuka, SSR5, Spa, Nurb GP/F, LeSarthe and Monza.

Jamman already have for S5 and I have for all the others.

If we put them all into one document like the one I made I think that could be useful.

This, but replace Daytona with something else. R246 maybe.

My favorite tracks, in order:
Sarthe
Spa
Other tracks

On a side note, have you even attempted trying things like grand valley? Or Monaco (Cote d'Azur)?

Lol in alms I drove the C60 Hybride @ 483hp and was a blast there. 600+ HP sucked though, lol

I say add grand valley

Grand Valley
Autumn Ring
Deep Forest
Cape Ring

All these are feasible I think.

Trial Mountain not so much

Also out of curiosity, how did that R10 tune fare for you?
It's still about 5 or 6 seconds slower than the lmp's we use, but it's a major improvement in my opinion.

I haven't loaded up gt5 in a while... So haven't had a chance yet.

Razor if you got the speed test dlc, well, you know.

Also we should do something like posting our times for the different distance/speeds, for those that have it.

This bug made me curious about some of the previous online races.
Apparently on Lap 2 in Daytona I gained 5 seconds out of nowhere. Actual time was 1:37, game time was 1:42. Not a flattering time, I know, but that's not what I'm looking at here.

Looking at Suzuka and Sarthe now...
Suzuka seems fine.

Sarthe... also going to take amf's time here so he doesn't come back whining.
Sarthe, around 1 second off. 3:43 instead of 3:42. I had suspension problems because someone hit me and I spun out when I got closer to the group. Both instances when I neared the group I lost ~half a second.
Insignificant percentage however, but I was isolated most of the time. .5% time gained.

Amf...
At most, 1/2 a second off. Gained maybe .150 when he hit me and .150 when he hit thermite. What my question is: How the heck do you damage an R8 that much during a pace lap?!

tiss:
Noticed something very strange with his tire wear meters on lap 9. They keep going way up, then down to about half, until it evens out at full.

Noticed something else. After I quit the race, I can no longer skip forwards. PD should make the skips based on which car you're watching instead of your own.

Tiss seems to be too separated to actually get affected. That goes for most of the racers. The worst lap was probably pace, for obvious reasons, if even that was affected. After the first two pit strategies pit once, the field is too far apart for me to find any obvious problems.

That's my analysis of the 3 races I was in.
Daytona we definitely had that problem.
Suzuka and Sarthe? Not nearly bad enough to matter, if even existent.

1/4 mile:9.634
1 mile:23.284
60mph:2.784
100mph:4.705
max G:1.14

The bug will cause 4-5 second losses.

The tire meters read strangely after pits.

I too do not understand bad pace lap performance.

I didn't bother checking the pace lap, as they don't matter in the end.

Why I say the pace lap should have bad performance is because everyone is bunched into one large group.

But again, the pace lap doesn't count towards any actual racing. I guess the pace lap could be the definite test of whether or not we had a problem during the race.

EDIT: Just realized I was talking about how damaged amf's car was after pace lap. The information above is still valid, but yeah. Allin, I have no idea how he did it.

I'm faster to 100mph, but you gain on me a bit from then on. That's what I expected quite frankly. I seemed to have problems accelerating out of higher speed corners and keeping up with people at Sarthe.

New Times
787B @ 680 HP//no turbos:
0-60 = 2.766 2.748 2.729
0-100 = 4.661 4.695 4.674
1/4 mile = 9.683 9.650 9.634
1 mile = 23.466 23.421 23.406

Playing GT5 doesn't make you a bad driver IRL. The physics aren't similar, you know 💡
I know that and I clearly said the reason I didn't want to play much was because I have a habit of driving crossing your arms, as learnt from playing racing games. IRL you thread the wheel. That is why I am refraining from playing. My point still stnads. I have said only valid points.

I meant I have a habit of crossing my arms. You know what I mean but yeah to keep myself out of that habit until I can switch between the two styles with ease, I am avoiding racing games most of the time. Still got to have fun eh?

Is anyone else going to get rFactor 2?

Also when will S6 thread go up?

we i'm bored enough to do it. Ironically the thread is pretty much done, I have it saved in a word document.... so i can just paste it onto GTP and it looks like this one 👍

And these faces are showing what expression here because I made two points, both of them being 100% true

Really? Lol. One point was you don't play because your like Vettel compared to your friends. I'm like Cristiano Ronaldo compared to my brother at football, but it doesn't make me a good footballer generally.

Second point is you don't want to get confused between the reality and game driving because of your cross arm habit. If you don't wanna get confused just look at your surroundings. GT5 = room. Real life = real life angry drivers annoyed at you getting confused by using a technique from a driving game ;)
