With 2200hp... Yes 2200

Agreed.

Seriously though, I never saw the R10 as a bad car, apart from being very tricky to drive at low-mid RPM's due to the torque, until I drove all of the other LMP cars, and saw that it was not only terribly down on straightline speed, but understeered like a bus when stock. I think a tune could make it competitive, probably at tracks without too many straights, but that would still be midfield at the very best, in my hands.

Nope, only 661. What did I break. And it has decent speed. I think those 3 seconds were lost mainly on the straights.

Also on a COMPLETELY UNRELATED BUT AWESOME NOTE, RFACTOR 2 TEST VERSION IS NOW OUT IF YOU PREORDER.

No the R10 is a terrible car, Even with 100 HP more than all the other cars its a pain in the butt to drive.

I thought it handled quite nice actually. Maybe I just tuned it well.

A word of wisdom, it hates grass, bumps, and kerbs. Other than that I have a hard time spinning it out unless I'm being an idiot.

please post your tune. Everytime I think, I'll try it and see if I can get it ANY better then the turd it is now.. I take 2 or 3 corners then just say forget it.... its a lost cause. HAHAHA

When I first entered this series, I wanted to use the R10, but akmuq thankfully told me that it wasn't a good car, and pointed me towards the Minolta. Totally paid off.

I at the time found the R10 to understeer less than the 908, and handled better.

What!?!?

Whenever I drive it I have massive undeersteer. Then when I try to correct it throws a tantrum and gives me oversteer

Try the tune I posted.

Tiss, your 908 tune took me forever to figure out how to gear it. How the heck did you pick THAT as your starting gear?!

You're welcome.:mischievous:

I wish the Minolta was still fast and good on tyres, it just seems to have lost it's pace in an update somewhere along the line.

This has been occurring for some time. Back in season 2 or 3 when that AS racer was going 260mph at Le Sarthe. Also Euro connections clock faster when lag is present so everyone else falls off 2-3 seconds per lap (US racers). One time a guy was hitting walls, skidding getting loose and so on but still gained 2-3 seconds per lap. It is a network issue causing that because of distance.

It seems there are posts missing. What are we talking about?

Okay I read the news post.

Amf, we had 12 racers in the lobby. It shouldn't have mattered. If anything you should have been faster than everyone else like what Allin said but you weren't. The US racers didn't seem to have problems, and by the looks of it the US racers weren't losing any time because of this.

I mean, tiss got 1st and he lives in Florida. You can't argue with that. The bug didn't affect us.

It's easy to blame us :P

If we are to believe those who have collected data then the number of wheels in use in the race with FFB have an effect too.
I do believe that AS's lap was bugged in some way, no doubt, but it worked the other way around and it was only for one lap. It was sick and looking back now, it's hilarious how it could happen. I was seriously close to freaking out when I saw how fast he was driving behind me.. oohhhhh, good times.

Adam, Idk if you have been experiencing this, but no one should claim it has, it's easy to just use it as an excuse. And we do know that you are not best friends with a car's brakes :D

Personally I'm not sure how the clock section affect it all. If you go from A-B in 40 seconds but the game clock says it took 50s then you think you are slow but are in fact fast (or normal). So for me, that has no effect. The effect is with the grip reduction slowing drivers down considerably. That is an issue.

Of course the correct thing to do, since we are all for fair racing here, is to allow only 12 entrants in a race or ban all USB attachments. However, I suspect we will follow the path of madness and change nothing.

Maybe this bug has an unprecedented effect on people with the number 199 and golfer in their PSN ID making them severely faster whenever the circuit is both night and a street circuit.

Were you there at the finale? I remember being the only 787. Turns out I can keep up with Razor if I try and push, and I thought slipstream was on strong when it made me bounce off my rev limiter. Turns out it was on weak. Razor just has an awesome draft. +7mph, if not more.

Because it doesn't happen to everyone in the room, only some.

Razor's gear setting in the 787B is a God's creation. It's why he has so much success in that car.

Still haven't gotten a good drag race against him yet, but what I do know is we both blasted away from everyone else at the start. Think he still outsped me a bit.

I think I have good 0-100 acceleration, and 200+ acceleration, but 100-200 is where my acceleration falters. I think my top speed was 5-6 miles faster than Razor's though. Not a large gap.

I just threw that in as an example of it being around. Not really throwing blame, just at networking. My entire league became a test bed which is good, now we run smoother. I still won't let Euro's run as the faster times are still present from that end. Again that's just network. However, with that said beware. I have come across many posts of racers knowing that they are and will in fact be faster in certain lounges by .5 to 2 seconds.

Here is how we run now:
Open lobby
Fixed host
No visible damage
No penalties
No mechanical damage
No mics.

Much smoother racing. We are going to introduce mics. again after the update.
My league went around and around, a lot of us were burned out and pissed. But I'm glad it happened and nothing in that blog isn't anything we did not know some time ago. It appears BK's league is rarely affected which is really good for you guys. I'm glad.

Anyone gonna run mics this season? Le Mans was boring there was nobody to talk to. I like making jokes and talking about things like lawn chairs and evil spirits while racing at 200mph.

Golfer? BK? Tiss? hockeyman?

Hofstee
How many more times are we going to end up banning and unbanning amf?

He's been banned once??? And it hasn't changed............

Drugs are bad - mmmkay

I always had my Mic. I stopped using it because nobody wants to talk. The euro guys are all very hardcore and don't want any distractions while driving. Most of the night series guys will be mic'd up.

I would talk, but you wouldn't listen.

Microphones will just be a distraction, and they considerably affect the room's connection speed.

It never lsot its pace, but I felt i'd be more consistent, and better off over a race distance if I used the GT-One, which was faster at some tracks. The Minolta is a really good car, Jamman would agree, but its tyre wear was the problem I had, and the reason I shelved it in the first place. My car was stock at the time, though. A tuned Minolta would be a beast, but it is still terrible on its tyres.

My Minolta tune is one of the bests

If you guys want to post your stats from this series I will dedicate some room in of the OP for S6 along with the older Driver Profiles.

But I'm not going to look back for stats on everyone. So if you want to be mentioned post it here.

Example
BK - 2 Starts | 2 Poles | 2 Podiums | 3 Wins
