Calm down, people. Does it affect your life in anyway if he provides pics? No. If he doesn't want to provide pictures, leave him alone. If he's lying then hes lying; if he's not, the he's not. Simple as that. You can go on living your life not knowing (or caring, even better) whether Troux has an AE86 and a Supra, no need to make a big discussion about it.
FTW! Imakuni, like I said, you can look up my old posts on GTP (I have very few) if it bothers ya so much. I'm pretty sure I posted some pictures before. By the way, have you posted pictures of your car yet?

Thanks, Silverzone! I would recommend the Scions. Can't go wrong with an xB, but the tC is gaining HUGE aftermarket support, and is a little sportier, if that matters to you. I would advise you steer away from the Lancer.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with the insurance 'symbol' system (basically gives a number to rank how much to charge for a specific car), but I chatted with an insurance guy, and he told me the Lancer has a crazy high insurance symbol, just because it's related to the Evo. If the Evo were called the Mitsubishi Evolution, instead of the Mitsubishi LANCER Evolution, then they wouldn't be related. This is the reason the Dodge SRT-4 doesn't have 'Neon' written anywhere on the body, otherwise you would pay higher insurance on the base Neon.

To explain symbols briefly: it's a number, 1-28, that summarizes everything about the vehicle in terms of insurance risk. My old Integra had a 14, which is kinda high because even though it's a small economy car, it has a high theft rate. TT Supras, though not that expensive, get a 25, because they are owned by lots of people under 25 and wrecked a LOT. Evos are the same deal, but MUCH more commonly owned by youngsters and wrecked, so they get the highest symbol, 28, which is normally and automatically reserved for any car with an $80K+ MSRP. The base Lancer is the same as a Supra, 25. Nuts, huh?

Anyways, you can't beat Toyota reliability and build quality. Take the xB!

Yeah, they really don't seem to be depreciating at all. For an auto TT, you're looking at about 20K, and at least 25K for a 6sp, and those will prolly have a handful of problems. They're not relly "worth it" in that sense, in comparison to other cars, so they're generally just reserved for the diehard Supra enthusiasts.

Haven't got a car mate :sly:

But will be hoping to post pictures up in Summer of the car owned by the race team i'm a member of (Peugeot Rallye S1 FTW!)

Yeah, I always heard Lancers were pretty crazy on insurance. I've really been leaning towards the xB lately. I mean 15 K brand new (some cheaper). That's a great price. Thanks for the advice!

I drive a '96 Fiat Punto 75 and since Fiat is represented in GT4, (at least... Don't have the previous GT's) I'd like to see the Punto MK1 GT version in the game :sly:

There aren't really positions sorted yet. We have a driver settled and that's about it for now.
It's more weekend/holiday fun than a serious, calculated effort at winning (hence the fairly lowly choice of car) and the circuits' atmosphere is relaxed so it should be a great laugh.
Of course i'll learn from it though, which is what I want primarily, a little taster of what it's all like for when I start doing it myself.

^I hear that, I just started getting active with the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) chapter at my school. Each year we fab up 2 go-carts, one for an autocross-type event, and one for off-roading. I'm having a great time learning, but the software is gonna be killer.

Here's my Mini. :) The British Open Classic went into production in 1992 and is a Limited Edition with only 1000 made for the UK market.

The image below gives it too much credit because she is in a bit of a state at the moment. However, once Spring arrives I'm hoping to restore her back to something more respectable.

The image was taken at Beaulieu, Hampshire, UK, which is only a few miles from my home. In the background you can just see Palace House which is part of the Beaulieu Estate owned by Lord Montagu, and is the home of the National Motor Museum.

Take a look at the Motor Collection 👍 👍 👍

I spent some time with a local import company called Litchfield Imports - http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/ and they run a car in the Time Attack series (500bhp Subaru Impreza :sly: ) and the equipment they use on it is mind blowing. From the dyno and alignment machines to the AST coilover set-up, it's pretty crazy how much software is used on the car. My friend Phil drives for them (he drives in all of their Time Attack series races) and can be seen putting down some rubber in the videos on their site.

'97 Nissan 240sx (KA24DE motor - maybe turbocharged sometime soon) I've done some slight suspension mods including new adjustable gas shocks and stiffer springs, also I swapped in a manual transmission.

^looks to be a very clean SE! You could sell that for a fortune nowadays! I should be up in the Carolinas this spring break. Ever driven the fun roads around there?

Little update, I just bought a silver 1995 Acura Integra LS (I still have my 98 Altima, but I plan on selling it). I'll try to get some pictures when it's not covered with dirt/salt (thanks Michigan weather!)

'92 or '93?
I'm assuming it's a DL. Auto, or standard?

If it's an auto, what kind of RPM's does it spin when you're doing around 60 MPH? I've got a '92 TSi, manual, and I'm pulling about three grand at 100 KM/H (60 MPH). Just interested to see what the difference is.

More Pics!

'94 Manual Dl :( as you said, but thats kinda wierd and yet I dont think so, although I've never gotten it higher then 105 mph it *can* go faster, I just ran outta striaght road, But yeah at 60 mph its in the 3000rpm range and @ 75 mph its doing 3500 rpm in 5th gear.
oh and sure:

One more thing, what are the other buttons for on the left side of the steering wheel? I'm assuming foglights but what else?

Just trying to think...
I've got a foglight switch, a dimmer for the guages and dash lights, and a blank. I'm not sure what the blank would be for.

I'm not about to check the owners manual at 12:40 AM, but I suspect it may have something to do with the automatic transmission. My car is pretty loaded out, and I've still got a blank.

nonono, I remember reading in that, the automatic tranny thing is right by the selector, its to change it from "power" mode to "Economy" mode. but yeah I definitly would want the stuff your car has, my sister had a 2G Tsi FWD manual, too bad I didn't have my license at that time....

You know what I think it is...
I think it is possibly, just possibly, something that doesn't apply to either of our cars.

In 1990-1991, the cars had pop-up headlights. I don't think they changed the dash design, so it must be what was the button to make the lights manually pop up. I'd be willing to bet many e-dollars on it.

Thats a very good deduction, and I wouldn't put it past them since the '92-'93 change WAS mostly outer appearances and mechanical differences, like when they introduced Damn Loser model of Talons and Eclipses :) Either way I would definitively agree with you.

Nice Escort. Wish we had those Escorts over here when they were manufactured.

Here's a pic of my old Focus' before I traded one in for the other...and then last week voluntarily turned my new one in.

I kind of miss my ZX5 (the one on the left). :(
I don't miss my ZX3 (the one on the right) :indiff:

Just over a week ago I purchased my first road car a 93' Honda Civic four door manual. Its not that bad even though two speakers dont work (both on the drivers side) and there's a bit of rust in the boot around the mounting point of the spoiler but thats fixable, current motor is a D15 which for the people who dont know is a 1.5L Carbed motor. After i get more money im planning to put in either a B18c or a F20c from a 03-onwards Integra Type R and making it a complete sleeper

(pics when I can get them)
