My car, although not much, is something I'm quite proud of. It's a 1988 Thunderbird 5.0L. It came stock with a 5.0, but it's not the same as a Mustang 5.0. It came stock with only 155hp/265ftlbs compared to the Stang's 225hp/300ftlb. With help from my dad and my uncle, we went through it and for only a couple hundred bucks, put Mustang heads, cam, headers, exhaust, intake, computer, etc in it. The car in total has no more than $2500 total in it, including the purchase price of $1500. It is also my first car (I'm 19). It rides like a luxury car, but has the power of a Mustang (well, at least Mustang GTs from last gen and older). It's slow by most standards (0-60 in about 6.5-7 seconds, 1/8th mile in the high 9s/low 10s depending on weather), but fast enough for me. I can pick on small fish around town that think their body kits give them extra hp. For a cheap first car and on a super low budget, it's a great car and I hope to never get rid of it and keep making it faster and nicer. I always keep it clean...doesnt look too bad for having 20 year old paint. It is basically bone stock on the outside, with only the dual exhaust with stainless tips to give any warning of what's under the hood. I've had guys on the street laugh at my car, only to have their puny little cars spanked by my modest 15sec car. Enough blabbing, here are some pics and videos:

Sorry if I spammed too many pics and such...my dad has a 1966 Chevelle with a 400hp 383ci small block. It's a really awesome car. I wont show any more pics so I'll just link a couple of videos:

Also keep in mind that in the 2nd video (acceleration), dad only shifted at 5200rpm. The engine is built for 7,000rpm (and will probably see 6,500) and once we get the tuning just right, we will unleash what is still left uncovered. There's still a lot left in the engine.
