Plastic is very durable, I took a VW to the side of my car and the metal door crumpled like a pop can but the plastic parts are just fine.

More durable my ass. Paint or no, it's still plastic. That's what touch-up paint is for. If durability is desired, why don't we go back to designing cars that look good with steel bumpers? Those can take a pounding. You can back into a tree and it won't leave a mark.

I'm sorry, the ubiquitous grayish plastic, IMHO, does not look good on most cars I see it on.

You're entitled to your opinion, but the fact is that painted bumpers crack and scrape much more easily than the different type of plastic used for unpainted bumpers.

If you don't like the look of them, or my car, I've no problem with that. Personally from a style point of view I'd prefer my car to have colour matched bumpers. Hell, I'd prefer a different car altogether. But at the end of the day it's a city car, so it's much more practical that it's designed with bumpers that shrug off contact, even if I haven't had to test them myself.

Oh, and thanks for the condescending attitude. I really appreciate it 👍.

You're welcome, it's a speciality of mine 👍

2007 Chevrolet (0pel) Meriva, grey, flex (gas/alcohol), a very good Minivan for a little family with 3 childrens, only cons is the mileage but I´m very satisfied with the car. I have too a VW Beetle 65´but this only for weekends and events of old cars in my city.

Nice, a sports car. Do you take it to the track?

That looks like a weekend warrior :D Beaten paint/panels, normal rims, graffiti, and being driven in the photo.

Here is my 1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS (Rallysport, but I call it Rennsport). It has a 5.0 liter (305 cu in.) V8 and a T-5 5-speed transmission.

My home made center exhaust.

The Engine. I did not paint those brackets orange btw...I hate those.

My custom intake...still not done yet.

My MSD 6A box mount.

"The Office". The steering wheel is a Grant "Corsa" model.

The body is fairly straight, pretty good for one of these.

This car is still a work in progress and i do drive it daily. Its green btw.:sly:

Thanks! I'm kinda going for the European look. Center exhaust, Eibach springs, flat-bottom wheel. Next I want to put in some Schroth harnesses.:)

Nice Camaro! I thought about a flat bottomed wheel myself for my Ute, but no one sold any in my area that weren't too flat at the bottom. Yours looks good though.👍

Thanks for the compliment! I suppose I made the right choice in that wheel. The wheel has the perfect feel that i believe is so nessecary for a good wheel. The car used to be an airbag car, but since the airbag wheel was so out of place and bad looking that i decided to change it. The gearshift knob is also made by Grant, but its quality is less than what I would have liked.

Full spec sheet:

Engine: 5.0 liter L03 V8 ~175 hp,:ill: ~255 lb. ft. MSD ignition box, coil, distributor cap and rotor, and wires. AC Delco plugs, custom "Ram Air" intake, and Amsoil 10W-30 synthetic motor oil.

Tyres and wheels: Falken Zeix ZE512 245/55R16 front and 265/55R16 rear on the stock Camaro wheels. Looking for some BBS wheels.

Brakes: Stock rotors with Baer carbon ceramic pads.<<<These are really cool. And no ABS.:sly:

Suspension: KYB struts/shocks front and rear, Eibach Sportsline springs, Energy Suspension front and rear sway bar bushings and links. Edelbrock three point strut tower brace.

Trans: Borg-Warner T-5 5-speed with Amsoil 80W-90 oil. (i found ATF in the car when i was changing the fluid...the new oil sure made the shifts smoother)

Differential: Stock GM rear with stock 3.08 gears :yuck: (and they sure do howl)

Exhaust: Flowmaster cat-back with custom made center tips.:)

Color: Polo Green Metallic II (NOT BLACK!!!!!!)

I really do like this car but somtimes anoying reliability problems creep up and make me want to get rid of it. It does have 170K miles.:dopey:

I've got a Honda Civic Type R 04 Model with spoon sport air-intake and spoon sports exhaust and a the ecu from the japanese type r version (more revs)

Heldenzeit: Needs a 350 or LT1. :D

Unfortunatly I live in California and this may be dificult. An LT1 would be great, or even an LS1.:dunce: In reality, im trying to focus on the handling side. I dont need an EO# to do handling upgrades and i prefer better handling to extreme acceleration.

I might sell it and get a C5 Corvette, but we'll see.:sly:

2000 911 (996) silver C2 manual.

Awaiting delivery of 2008 2.2tdci Mondeo Titanium X (company car) so day to day, currently running around in a 2007 Civic 1.8EX pool car.

Ah.

Makes sense. You might be able to nab an LT1 Caprice cop car for cheap and then swap that all over... LS1 would be harder to find and more expensive... For fairly little power gain stock v stock.

Or just do whatever you can to the 305 internally... IE zero-deck it, mill the heads slightly...

My 305 was rated at 170hp and 255lb ft from the factory.:indiff: I know that the Corvette LS1 had 345hp and the late 90's Z28 had 309hp. The engine has so much other useless emissions junk around it and it is difficult just to remove a valve cover. Doing anything to the engine internally is just wasted money for me, as I dont plan to keep the car.

These pushrod engines make so little power for as big as they are. 5 liters only makes 170hp? WTF? When the car weighs 3500lbs, it just isnt efficient enough.

BTW, i would really like to buy a German or other European car for my daily driver. It has to be manual and i would prefer FR. Any suggestions would be nice as i cant think of many. A BMW 850i would be cool.:)

Domestic brand engines are super restricted from the factory. Open some taps though and they will hammer.:mischievous:
