I never understood why people put different tires on their vehicles. It's good that you are going to be replacing them though, tires are always a wise investment.

I'm guessing one was running a bit thin, and the owner just replaced the one tire that needed it with whatever was cheapest.

If I can find a deal on some decent wheels, I'll probably do that too. Might keep the steelies for snow tires, though, I dunno.

I've got different tyres front to rear, but only because when I got it the fronts had really uneven wear due to bad allignment, and the tyres that were on it were POS tyres (not that my current ones are anything special, but I plan on getting 17" rims some day). Anyway, so the rears were good still, and then by the time my rears ran out the tread I had on the fronts were no longer available.:ouch:

Speaking of which, are Dunlop SP Sports good tyres? At the moment I have SP Fast Response, when I get 17s it might be SP3000A (I think).

Unfortunately, there are three different tires on it. :ouch: Soon as I get the money, though, they're all coming off.

EDIT: They are all the same size, though; just different brands.

Different brands on left and right obviously isn't as bad as different sizes, but it's still a better idea to have the exact same tire on each side. Different brands of tires are made from different materials using different processes. Diffferent different different. Different!

I wasn't sure what you meant by "different", so I clarified my statement. I fully agree with you on how different tires are bad. Unfortunately, tires cost money, and good tires (I'm not going with an el cheapo tire here) cost even more. On the good side, I'll be getting out of school soon, and my paychecks will start getting a lot bigger.

My car ( it's my first one):

I thought your car had stock alloys?

I have a 2004 Mercedes C180 Sports Coupe that I am driving around until i get my own car, thinking about an Alfa 147 :)👍

As long as you can appreciate Alfa's soul over their questionable reliability and quality. 👍

Personally, I love them - especially the classics such as the Spider and GTA models. Watered-down bargain-priced Ferraris I like to perceive them as.

I say go for it on an Alfa. As long as you look after them and service them religiously they won't really go wrong. If anything is going to break for no reason it'll be electrical and to be honest pretty much any modern car can have electrical faults now and then.

Rock and roll. I see the interior is stripped out (maybe to a degree). Is it road legal?

yea, completely stripped out. only top half of dash left then just seat, cage and me!haha.
It will be road legal again, just doing a few tweeks at the moment as it used to have a hydrolic handbrake, so took that off as it wasn't ever used, and putting a standard one back in, and just got to wire up the rear fog light again. but after that it will be on the streets again!

I don't know what happened. I was just driving along and the next thing I know theres fire everywhere behind my head. I had the windows down so I felt the heat right away. All I could think of was that this couldn't possibly be happening and then the doors started playing in my head...

The hood is stuck shut so I haven't looked at it since it was still burning.
