I've long heard that BMWs were unreliable, but they are simply no match for a DSM!

Blurrly nighttime camera phone pics ftw.

This is my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I've had it for almost 3 years now, and have done all upgrades myself. For those that dont know, its a 3.8L V6 with factory supercharger. Current mods are: Aftermarket cam, roller rocker arms, LS6 valve springs, cold air intake, headers, s/c pulley, and custom tune by me!

Heres a crappy vid of my car idling with the new cam. Not bad for a V6 eh?

I don't know why, but I had never seen this thread before today.

My new purchase: 2001 GPW S2000

I've only had it for about two weeks now, but I love it. I traded a red 2003 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner V6 for this.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments! It's a fun way to go fast, and yet be different than most imports/big V8's at the same time. And yeah, I agree she needs a lowering job. My local dragstrip opens up on May 1st, so I'll be out there to see what she's got. I'm hoping for/expecting mid-high 12's on street tires. (They run mid-high 14's stock) We'll see. I'll be sure to post up the times and any vids that I get! My ultimate goal for the car is to get it into the 11's, so untill then I'm going to keep modding away! ($$$ permitting :indiff:)

Great S2K, GPW is actually the colour I am after when the value of the yen looks more favourable, but it HAS to have the red interior to go with it (a'la Type-R and imo, just looks cleaner). 👍

My '02 RSX:

Do you guys think i should go for the red Honda emblem in the rear? I only received the red one up front by accident. I ordered the regular Honda emblem, but the company mailed me the red one instead. I figured i'd put it on; it's supposed to cost $20 more anyway. I'd rather leave it as is, but i'm not sure if it looks mismatched. What do you guys think?

One of my favorite instrument clusters ever:

Not much to brag about, but i like to keep it pretty clean:

Yeah, I'd get the other JDM emblem to match. The red looks a lot more unique than a silver one, and considering you've got an Acura, it only makes sense to use JDM badges to pretend to be an Integra than regular USDM chrome ones, which wouldn't be found on either car.

But, if you're going to have Honda badges on an RSX, you need to get rid of the Acura badge and possible the RSX-S badge.

Yeah, if it were up to me it would still have the Acura logos. Although they're a bit funny looking, it is technically a luxury company. I kinda like that.

Good point about the current emblem i have not being on either car, i hadn't thought of that. My brother was the one who put the damn thing on in the first place, even though i never asked him to...

And it's strange, i've also thought about the problem with the "Acura" and "RSX Type-S" badges too, but they've never really bothered my as much as they should. :dopey:

I'm wondering about the legality of it all, but maybe i'm just being naive. Then again, Florida does have some really pointless laws. It's probably fine though, because i once found a parking ticket on my window issued for a Toyota. Even though i purposefully didn't put coins in the meter maybe i should have claimed that i've never even driven a Toyota.

Def. gonna need to drop the Type S badge. People will find it weird enough seeing a Type S badge on it. You don't need to give them a reason to think anymore with red Honda emblems. Just friendly advice.

Yeah, I have the red/black interior and I haven't had anyone say that they didn't like it. I really think that the red and white go together, just as long as the red stays on the inside, and the outside stays monochromatic with white/gray and black(cleared corner party at my place for-the-win).

Nice clean RSX Giancarlo:tup:! The red emblem is the way to go! An advice you gotta change that in-take man... its only getting hot air instead of fresh one:)!

Yeah, didn't realize its not a Type-S. Ditch both OEM badges and put the other JDM Honda badge on.

See! I fooled you! ;)

I'm not really brave enough for a CAI. :nervous: I've heard way too many horror stories about hydrolock. My car is fairly low and the roads in Miami are pretty terrible, so when it rains there are puddles everywhere.

Besides, anything is better than the stock air box. But thanks for the input. 👍

I recently purchased my first car, a 2004 Renault Clio 1.2, ready for when I get my licence. I've yet to collect it though.

Sphilli, tell me that's not your real plate, personalised plates make me wanna' throw up.

:dopey: It's only a fake German plate. I don't have the proper holes to put on a standard US plate so until I get a fine for this one, it's staying.

I may make it say something else though, since too many people think it's "South Philly" not my nickname.

I have bought my friend's '99 Nissan Altima GXE from him for $500. I probably should tell him it's at least a $1250 car.

On the other hand, I have a great deal! Sort of... The previous owner was pretty brutal, but the car still endures with gusto. That KA24 engine makes quite the racket when revved high. It's like a megaHoover. I don't know how it should make me feel... It's exciting, but the absolute antithesis of that primal sexy/terrified feeling a good exhaust note evokes.

Here's a picture of my VN Commodore, my first car. The passenger side is smashed, my dad was driving and we got side swiped but I don't have any good pictures of the damage. It is still drivable though but it doesn't get drven much since it might get defected. I'm getting a Ford Laser in a couple of weeks to replace this car though.
