I'm not really brave enough for a CAI. :nervous: I've heard way too many horror stories about hydrolock. My car is fairly low and the roads in Miami are pretty terrible, so when it rains there are puddles everywhere.

Besides, anything is better than the stock air box. But thanks for the input. 👍
There's nothing to really worry about unless you submerge it. Then again, I don't know if the RSX's area under the airbox is a small square hole that helps prevent mine. But, it does take a lot of water to get hydrolock.

If you're that worried, there's always short ram or a bypass.

Here is my car: an Volvo S60 which i purchased few months ago. really good car.

Representing Norway.. :)

I realised I've never taken a pic with both my cars at the same time.. Excuse the height on both by the way, they're going down again soon :)

2007 MPV. Think here in Japan is the only place you can buy them. 2300cc, 8 seats, sat-nav, remote electric sliding doors, rear TV & DVD etc. Nice enough for cruising but a Skyline or Imprezza it ain't!

Colour is dark burgundy not grey as in the picture.

Fiat Grande Punto, 3d, 1.2L petrol engine. First car that I don't have to share ;) Bought new, arrived last week, clocked just over 600 KMs. The price was right and I love the looks!

Bought a 1999 7th gen Celica SX, just yesterday. It's now my 2nd Car (my '89 Celica is in the background). It's brilliant to drive, has a 6-speed manual, and I love it to death. I've wanted to own this shape celica since I was 10... and now I finally have it... in silver!

Very Happy! :D :D:tup:

Nope, pretty open space. I also forgot to mention that for RSXs you have to relocate the windshield washer fluid reservoir, which is just another hassle on top of everything else.

I do, i have a K&N SRI. :)

The ZR version has the 180hp engine... Mine is an SX, which has 140hp.

It's still minty fresh, especially the interior. 👍

Is that a no food or drink sticker on the side of your dashboard?

Oh and i didn't realize that Acura stole the idea for RSXs' air vents from Celicas like yours. Do they swivel 360 degrees as well?

It's an airbag sticker..
2nd gen Toyota Echo has these as well, but it's later than both of these though.

You'll find plenty of people here to argue wheels and stretch and drops and Hondas Volkswagen with around here.

That's if his GTI lasts long enough for him to talk about. ;)

That's a great looking GTI! Requesting more pictures, now! :)

Very sharp looking car! Was that taken at some sort of VW meet? I see a couple other Golfs in that shot.

Also, is that username directed at me? ;)

Thanks, yeah it was taken last summer at a local meet. And the username is self inspired ;)

@ Eric. Do you mean if my gti lasts or are you referring to another forum user?

Some more pics as requested :)

It's lowered 60/40 and the tyres are 195/45/15 on a 7.5J Rim so not stretched at all and well within tyre manufacturers guidelines.

Good to hear that my posting isn't that bad to make you choose that...

If you spend some time looking around a bit, you'll see that there is a lot of friendly bashing of VWs around here. And this was probably brought about by the poor reliability of my MKV (see sig) and YSSMAN's transmission problems on his old Jetta.

I want one!

Yeah, don't mind me. Just saw a pair of Vdub guys here and had to say something. I like them, I just wouldn't buy one based on how much they tend to have problems. Probably not the case with an older one like your MkII though. I'd love to have one like that eventually for autocross or something, but for now my Si is a lot better car for me. I had wanted a TDI Jetta for a while also...

So,

i haven't shown of my ride yet.

Its nothing too special, 2006 Nissan Altima with Eibach Springs in the front and 235/45/ZR17 Pirelli P Zero

Soon i am going to get myself a new car, was thinking about either the new Altima 3.5Se or Infinite G37.

Today morning i decided i'd take my car for a wash and show it off with at the beach with the burj al arab in the background.

Hope you like it

Chris 👍

Some pretty serious tyres on it, I'm guessing P-Zero Neros?. Nice car.

those pirellis are just amazing. The altima has a stock suspension exept the Eibach springs.

Those tires have so much grip, its unbelievable!

To be honest i dont quit now the exact type, on the box and bill its just P Zero.

Chris

Don't worry Eric, VW's aren't for everyone. Someday though you might mature and realise how ghey Hondas really are and that vtec is actually just fancy cam timing which results in pish poor torque :P

/Banter

Think I'm going to fit in here.. :sly:

To be honest, I still prefer the Camry over this. I'm more with Nissan but I think while that's one of their weaker models, the Camry is one of Toyota's strongest. The Mazda6 is probably a little bit over this too, but I'd rate the Accord behind this. Just my opinion ;)

Haven't been here yet, but I have to change my poll response.

Bought a 1998 Ford Escort ZX2 about a month ago. 82,000 miles, cost me a whole $3,000. Paintjob's a bit faded and scratched, tires are mismatched, and there're a few squeaks and rattles, but I don't care. It's my first car.

Couple pics:

I hope your tires are only mismatched between the front and rear, not on either side, right? Because having different tires on the left and right sides can be really bad for your suspension.

Unfortunately, there are three different tires on it. :ouch: Soon as I get the money, though, they're all coming off.

EDIT: They are all the same size, though; just different brands.
