Hey, I bet none of the rice crowd want to mess with you when they hear ya coming. LOL
Hard to believe you drive this thing in the street.
Ive seen a few 10 second street rods used for daily driving and its tough keeping the idle up on those things.
One thing I love is the lumpa, lumpa sound of the engine. Gives me a woodie everytime I hear one of those. (Sorry Jordan, no other way to describe it)
Hexen, nice ride once again and Ill check out those vids too.

rice beater?

Im sure you know the overly used term Im using.
Ive always admired your car and admonished the fact your car is much faster than mine. :nervous: :nervous:
I know youve met the all show, all sticker, high wing (fill in the blank car manufacturer) rice mobile.
Dont take offense.
Im antirice and the Fast and the Furious didnt help, although I still like the movie.

no...i take no offense at all! :)

i know what you mean and i have smoked my fair share of 16 year old high school kids with "rice rockets"....

the bottom line is...im sure you and I agree...its whatz under the hood that counts? comprende?

Ok, to put all of this to rest! It is SEEMINGLY possible to get 2000HP out of a normal engine. If you watch the dakar rally, the trucks they use come close to that.

The Megablower, apparently will produce easily 900 or so HP on pumpgas
http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/AMS/SC/SCK/77-420_CBBP.html

With alchehol, (a la top fuel dragsters) you can use a MASSIVE ammount of boost without melting your cylandars to the walls of your block... However, I have yet to find out if you have enough wall to bore the thing out that much...

Possible, yes.

750 hp? thats not that much. When our engine was at 468 cubic inches, we were at 741 hp, only becuase my dad builds mean street machines for fun, even builds top fuelers and doomslammers if they pay him enough. So he built it up to 741, and then when he decided to go for bigger, he pumped nearly 900 hp out of the 540.

And as for cooling the engine, we let the two bottles of pro-shot fogger do that for us. They cost 819 dollars each empty... and add up to 500 hp per bottle... So we have 2000 hp, without NOS :)

Hello? Were you listening to what I said???? 750HP, N/A, no nitrous, PUMP GAS! What do you mean thats not very much? You have nitrous, a supercharger ect. This is a base (haha) engine.

Its not that much becuase its 750 hp from summit. Ours was a 468, built in my garage, no NOS, N/A, no supercharger, just a standard engine, at 750. At a 540, No NOS, N/A, no supercharger, it was at 900 HP... built right in my garage. We never ordered anything... im just saying, if you order soemthing like that, you should expect alot more... Btw, whats the price tag on it? 8000?

Im working on something new :) I bought a 96 Camaro not too long ago... but I was unaware of its history. It was the only Camaro made with factory pinstriping... We asked the dealer about it, and he said a GM executive sold it to him, and then ended up in our hands. No wonder it has a bigblock V-8 and a 160 mph speedometer. I ordered a new spoiler for it, its the exact same one that is already on it, but this one comes with extensions ;) I will have it raised 11 inches above the car, and the extensions look exactly like the ones on the supra in the fast and the furious. After a little exploring in my uncles garage for parts to put on it, I found a spare hooker exaust system, and a Summit Performance Blower... Now, it looks just like the Camaro Race Car on GT3, with a slightly different spoiler, and a nice blower in it :) It runs about 210 mph and has a lovely fiberglass body! Too bad I had to rip it apart when it pulled a wheelie and ripped half of it off becuase it was too low to the ground :(. After some adjustments, I think Ill turn it into the ultimate Camaro!

Pretty much confirming how full of **** you are. Are you from Iceland??? Because the owner of the Black Nova in your pictures is. His name is Böðvar Eggertsson. Is that you???? 😈

I have family in Iceland... and Ive actually met that man. His nova is for sell right now isnt it? We had a black nova just like his. We got sponsored by a few of those people down there so we have turbo blue stickers all over our car, even on the windshield and dashboard. Our novas were almost identical except you could see his engine from the hood, becuase he put no cover of it. My dad has a picture of both of our novas side by side...

Anyone know who sells tubochargers? Or how much they are? I have no idea becuase ive never built a turbo engine before... damn, they are only about 188 ci... heh. My friend was going to buy a skyline but didnt have quite enough money. He bought a 300zx yesterday and has some money left over... how much are turbochargers and where can i get em?

Daily Driver: 1989 Chrysler Lebaron Turbo GT.

The engine is the 1991 High Torque version, with the intercooler setup from a Turbo II 2.2L and boost is bumped up from 7lbs to 13lbs, so I don't know what HP is after these changes. the only other things done is cat-back exhaust, air filter and plugs/wires/coil.

Here are the stats (in stock form) on this beast ;)
2.5L Turbo
HP: 152@5200
Torque: 210@2400
Weight: 2863

Project: 1984 Chevy Monte Carlo.

This is going to be a general weekend cruiser, not really a high performance beast. I've got a 1971 LT1 Vetter 350 almost ready to go in (2.02 Fuelie Heads, 4 Block Main).

I haven't decided on a high performance car yet. maybe a early 90's Vette.

My family is a vette (and old car in general) family, my father has a 1981 with 30k miles, my uncle has a '63 convertible with 4k miles, my brother in has had two '84's and a 77 and now has a 1969 Nova SS w/ a 454, and my sister has a 1966 Mustang (289V8)

WTF happened to this thread? I started it, and now it says Avenger started it, but I remember my poll questions, yes it's my thread, MY THREAD WAS JACKED!!!

AHHH!!!

look at post # 20, that's the start of this thread, I guess Jordan merged several threads...

my thread was jacked though lol, I got no creadit of making it in my profile or anything....geess they stole it!!

J/K...but it is mine

I had a 1993 Nissan Maxima, and can see why they didn't put it on the game, but my new car, a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon FX should be. People don't give it enough credit. Back when it was stock, I raced my friend's 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse and won. I do think my car is very cool.

Lots of people sell turbos. Some are good people, and some are bad people (i.e., some will just sell you a bill of goods and say "Good luck with all *that*!"). Unless you or your friend is a highly experienced installer -- and judging from the question, I don't think you are -- it's a good idea to find a quality aftermarket shop in your area. The 300ZX has a sizeable backing in the tuning industry. Twin turbos leave lots of room for power, and the heavy frame of the 300ZX leaves lots of room for improvement. ;)

yeh my girlfriend is expecting a baby soon so the M roadster had to go and i had to buy a family car instead. if i must buy a family car then why not buy the fastest in the world!!!

"M" and "family car" in the same sentence...so funny!

My first car (in the Philippines) was a Nissan Sentra EX Saloon, it was stock (80-hp), it has been dropped by 2 in. with Bridgestone Potenza 16" rims, has two 13" subwoofers, two amplifiers, and an Alpine stereo. I raced the vehicle three times and won. But after that, I concentrated in more complex scenario, drifting. I learned every drifting technique (execpt doughnuts since my car was FWD). I used my moves during midnights (when theres illegal street racing going on). My best stunt ever was I made a Rally-turn between the two dividers of the median (3-4 inches between my bumper and the gutter) without any error and tires still spinning like crazy, every one was impresed. Others trying to copy my moves end up breaking their CV joints by hitting the median. Since my car before was always dirty (no one dares the touch my car) I call my car "The Dirt Machine".

My current car (and my first US car) is the 1992 Acura Integra GS-R. It has a stock B17 DOHC VTEC (one of the first VTECs ever made). My car can chase Mustangs, Camaro, and an SVT Lightning with a little sweat. But right now I'm planning to put K&N filter; a Sony AM/FM/Casette player with XM along with a 10 Disc CD changer; Tint; Exhaust setup; and due for next week my 66,000 mile Maintenance. I got it with 50,000 mi on the odo. and has a brand new Falken tires to all four side (I still miss my Bridgestones). Problem is my passenger window has leaks when I took it to a carwash, and the front bumper was a 1991 model not a 1992 and both the hood and bumper chips like crazy (the ugliest part of my car is the front end). Not yet ready for the valet parking in Las Vegas, but with enough $$$$$, this car is heading to the SEMA Expo.:)
