Oh one more thing, I really fudged up on the RPM. I was looking as something else while i was typing. It is around 6500. and there are dyno testers that go up to around 2000 hp. Like I said, we havent been able to give it a dyno yet, last i knew of, it was at 1900 hp. I dont think we've climbed too much higher. Funny cars and dragsters have alot more then that. Top Fuelers are estimated at 6000 hp. No wonder they run 4.5 seconds in the quater

Super chargers are slightly different in that they dont produce the amount of forced induction like a 471 roots type blower.
Btw, the roots blowers are the type you see on Top Fuel cars and rails, whereas the superchargers are always inside the engine compartment.
THey both work on the same principle, the roots are for the hard core motor and car.
If someone can elaborate a little more, that would be nice.

Interesting...well, you learn something every day! :D The dyno question still stands, tho.

Ah, that explains a bit more. Thanks! (I know turbos, not superchargers. :))

Thx man :) There is a limit on the size of the images I can post, so I cant post the more recent ones. The image of the yellow one was right after we bought it, so it doesnt show the real power of it now. Ill try and find a place to upload.

I cant find anywhere to upload my files. Anyone know of a good place I can send them or sign up for free hosting? I just wanna upload about 250K of pics so I can post em and tell you when they were taken.

Email them to me at altf8@planetps2.com. I'll host them for you. I'm anxious to see this beast!!

I also have three movies of us racing. And the movies are pretty recent too. Some of you might have seen them too. A black Nova vs. a black camaro with two white racing stripes on the top... it was(i think) a 70 or 71 camaro.

Yeah, I've seen that one. Those cars are sickeningly fast...if we did see the same video. :D I thought it was pretty funny to watch the camera car try to keep up...I think it was a turbo Supra! Not a slow car, by any means. Well...not compared to most. 😈

Yeah, I think thats the one, it was a night race wasnt it? Its all over Kazaa becuase my dad put about 2 hours of it in his shared folder. Its even on a few racing websites. We have some other video of it at Edgewater Raceway in Kentucky. Running the quater mile and stuff.

What does the car run in the 1/4?

(BTW, check your email. :))

Here is the nova when we first bought it:

Here is the Nova after a lot of hard work and a new body:

Another one of the same car:
novaeggertsson69BR.jpg

The nova after we wanted to repaint it the original color, turned out to be dual and ugly, and we wrecked it :(

And finally after we brightened the paintjob a bit to look more like the original, and we threw in the 420 megablower and some other major changes:

Now, the nova looks just like the image above, but it has no stickers, and a sleek nighthawk black paintjob, and its in perfect condition. After I get some pics of it, ill upload em or something, and post them here for you to see.

I hereby apologize for ever doubting you. That is one beast of a car!

Anyone have any links to the videos?

Still, it's street legal with that much HP? I realize it'd be a little less w/o nitrous, but still... I didn't think that any car could be street driven at the point you're talking about.

Well, horsepower isn't an issue. It's how you drive.

Well, right, but after a certain state of tune is passed a car will become difficult if not impossible to drive on the street. I figured any car with that much power would be a trailer queen. :)

Nah, you just put it in drive and never touch the gas. :)

Its fairly easy to drive on the street. Its transmission only has three gears too... Its one of those classic racing transmissions that used to come with the Chevrolet and Chevy II cars back in 62-78. But this one was custom built to handle the high hp. Once we hit 200 on the highways though, its a little hard to stop, becuase after a while, the breaks really wear down. We only drive it in first gear on the streets though, becuase seconds gear is at like 80-100 mph. We do get complained at once in a while becuase of the way it rumbles. Everynight when I pull in my driveway, my neighbor opens his window and tells me to keep it down, becuase hes getting sick of that loud **** waking him up every night :) I dont drive it in the daytime much. Cops usually follow us around when they see it, just to make sure we do nothing. Its kinda a set back if you know what I mean :(

Now thats what I call an import beater. :D
Hey, I bet none of the rice crowd want to mess with you when they hear ya coming. LOL
Hard to believe you drive this thing in the street.
Ive seen a few 10 second street rods used for daily driving and its tough keeping the idle up on those things.
One thing I love is the lumpa, lumpa sound of the engine. Gives me a woodie everytime I hear one of those. (Sorry Jordan, no other way to describe it)
Hexen, nice ride once again and Ill check out those vids too.

All the way to 80 in first gear -
Must make for a decent 0 - 60, eh? :D

Damn, ya dont gotta be rude, just ask. With the a wheelie its like 2.3 seconds, on average. Sometimes we lose traction and its 3.3+ seconds, and sometimes we have really good traction and its 2.0 seconds.

<---I was only being as rude as you....in other words, j/k. Relax, guy!

I wish my car would go to 60 in 3.3 on a good launch.

Wow, Id like to see your 60 foot times. lol
You never did post your 1/4 or 1/8 mile times. Come on man, lets get the low down on this. Everyone is dying to know.
