he's referring to the 200SX... you are thinking Z or ZX... as in 240Z, 240ZX, 260ZX, 280ZX, 300ZX and 350Z... not yet, but coming.

My 240SX is RWD, it's just another burp in Nissan's chassis/engine naming scheme. :) And PunkRock, where do you get your car bits? Do you have a local place, or do you do it online? In my area, there are ZERO decent shops and I'll be looking for bronze 17" TE37's (among other things) in the near future.

i got my seats from a speed shop in Montreal, i ordered my ehxaust and header from King Motorsport, the US Mugen distributor, and my wheels/tires are from TRAC racing, also in Montreal... 16'' Volk TE37, in white.

You're in BC, you're not that far from Japan... you guys must be able to get some JDM stuff more easily than we do in the east...

I have a '94 Audi 80- looks VERY much like this one, body-wise. It's just waiting for an Eibach spring kit and a set of 7.5"x 18" alloys to replace the standard 15"-ers :P

oops- forgot the pic!! :D  ;)

Audi's are the coolest cars next to Porsche. :D
Nice cars and the A series are one of the finest body styles going.
Have you seen the new audi's coming out?? Talk about looking good, every manufacturer is trying to copy the design.
Lets see what she looks like when its got the rims on it.

I've got a 96 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2. Insurance (I'm 20, living in London) and mpg friendly (poor Uni student :)). Although, I'm looking for a nice Mk1/2 VW Golf GTi if the insurance man will let me.

I allways drove the Subaru Impreza WRX III sedan 95`(in GT2) I think that was the correct name, so I drive the Impreza 22b, and offcourse the nismo 400R!
someone else who have the samefavourite cars?

Gotta love the Imprezza's for sure and yes, should beat most at the track once modified. :D
Nice website too, too bad I didnt see a guest book to sign. :(
Its nice to see such young people into cars like you do, its a great, expensive and rewarding hobby. :)
Good luck with your plans.

Heh, I think I got all of you beat. 1969 Chevy Nova, leather interior Nighthawk black paintjob. It has a bigass 540 in it. Holley 420 Megablower and supercharger, sticks like a foot out of the hood. Two hooker flowmaster mufflers, heating and airconditioning work, Fat-ass tires, rumbles the entire town. Has 1900 hp, doing 260 mph.

Yes!

On a more 'real' note, I just read the article in an older SCC about the United States' fastest Civic: 184mph at Bonneville!

bsmeter.gif

I dont believe the 1900 hp claim.
Lets see some dyno sheets or time slips to back up the claim.
Not dissin, just know my cars and yes, the Nova with a 500 cu inch engine can get those hp figures, but not likely with most budgets.
Altf8, Ive read that same article, nice Civic and fast for sure.
THeyll be faster this year for sure.

i've seen that Civic too... the guys want to push 200 mph this year!!

maybe i shouldn't tell HexenLord about my Carbon fiber bodied, 454 twin turbo Nitrous fed Yugo? ;)

The Nova isnt BS. Its running on alchohol... it was a 454 ci. when we did some bore on it and turned it to a 468 then 540. We talked to the guys over at holly and they said that the blower would give us about 1100 hp with gasoline, becuase the blower is expensive as hell and includes a supercharger. It pumped us up to 1900 hp(last time i checked, possible more by now). It was only affordable to us becuase we have a few sponsors and our team saved up a bunch of money. We got most of the parts for free though becuase they came off my uncles dragster and my dads old chevelle. We did the dyno test before we added the mufflers and a few other things. So I would say we are at 2100 hp now. Cant really drive it on the street because cops tail us for hours just to make sure we dont do anything. And its hella loud.
Last dyno was 1912 hp@11500 rpm. I have a few pictures of the car, but they are the older ones and dont show the 420 megablower we are using now.

Like I said, if something sounds unbelievable, it usually is.
Ill give you credit on one thing, youve probably got one fast car. :D
Any timeslips and Im definitely interested in seeing some nice pics. :D
Sorry for the bs flags man.

Erm...I may have my automotive nomenclature wrong, but isn't blower just another name for a supercharger?

Got much wall left!?

You mean Holley?

and they said that the blower would give us about 1100 hp with gasoline, becuase the blower is expensive as hell and includes a supercharger.

Hmmm...I'm confused. Isn't a blower just another name for a supercharger? Also, how much boost are you running?

You mean with the mufflers? Last I checked, 99.9999% of cars ran better horsepower figures with no mufflers.

Cant really drive it on the street because cops tail us for hours just to make sure we dont do anything. And its hella loud.

11,500 rpm? :odd:

Oh, and where did you dyno it? I've been wondering where a dyno was that would do 2000+ horsepower.

These were my questions....I mean, doesn't your average pushrod V8 blow up at 6500? What have you done to the bottom end of this car, anyway?

This is also true....most dynos don't handle more than a few hundred. That's why funny cars estimate the output - there isn't a dyno anywhere that could withstand that kind of a beating. Sorry, based on this alone, I've gotta say:

There are centrifigal blowers and roots type blowers.
Super chargers are slightly different in that they dont produce the amount of forced induction like a 471 roots type blower.
Btw, the roots blowers are the type you see on Top Fuel cars and rails, whereas the superchargers are always inside the engine compartment.
THey both work on the same principle, the roots are for the hard core motor and car.
If someone can elaborate a little more, that would be nice.

Dont know where this post belongs, but its def messed up.
Jordan, theres something wrong with the e-mail replies not getting on the right page. :D

Gotta love it.

This should answer your questions, and yeah I mean Holley. The car was cheap actually. We didnt spend too much. 813 on the NOS from fogger. adds up to 500 hp. The blower is from Holley. It is their 420 Megablower. My dad has a ton of friends that work at JEG's in Columbus Ohio. They get all of the parts becuase we either order them from their magazine or go up their and pick them up. THe Blower boosts a standard 454 up to 854 horsepower on gas, and 1578 on alchohol. We ordered the Hooker Flowmaster Exaust from them too. We needed two of em becuase its still way too damn loud. Now we dont just have 1500 hp, because we arent on a 454 anymore. When we made it a 540, we really saw the difference. The body is made of fiberglass and we even had some weight reduction added. We took out the old seats and replaced them with much lighter racing seats with leather coverings. The back seat was removed, but we can still put it in if we are cruising around with friends. In all, me and my father spend 7 grand on this car. Some of my friends threw in some more for the body work becuase it twisted when we were first driving it and ruined our yellow paintjob :(.
I dont have any really recent pictures, but if I can upload them to a site somewhere ill post them here. Unless there is a way so i dont have to upload and use the
thing.
