whoops, didnt realise i put up the photochop, my bad. just have stock rims. sorry.

i havent had it dyno'd but people with similar modification have posted results of about 170-180hp at the wheels. definately shocks a lot of people.

I am sure Small_Fryz of this forum that also owns a new red Polo GTi would be quite interesting in what mods you have done?

I drive a 93 Honda Prelude.

Southern Ontario, like $1400 or something, not sure if its a 5 speed or not...I know it needs brakes and something else to safety, and the body is alright, little bit of rust starting to come through in some areas.
Yeah there is a little bit of a rusty discoloration on mine, front-passenger door right underneith the trim. :( but other than that it looks beautiful.

It had one owner pretty much... he bought it brand new in 1990 and had it up until 2006 I believe. He gifted it to his son as a graduation present, and then he pretty much garaged it. He did some mods, mostly interior wise.

A guage cluster for voltage, water temp, and oil pressure - beats looking at one billion dummy lights in the dash. Also upgraded the speaker system and threw a fat 12" sub in the trunk. The thing takes up about a whole adult body, but it booms.

Then there's a huge K&N intake, some high performance one which really gets things nice and intense at 4,000 RPM. Also a "U-Pipe," something to do with the nerfs Ford did to the intake system on the SHO engine to dumb it down so it didn't blow their precious Mustang GT away... but its okay, they still ate the superbirds at least! :D

Picked it up for $2k cash, and I couldn't be happier. It had new brakes, new tires, a new clutch, a beautifully well taken care of black leather interior, and like I said it can still kick on the secondaries and pull something pretty fierce.

alhajoth - Nice 'lude! Sold mine a couple of years ago and miss it every day. Do you have the 2.2 VTEC or the 2.3 non-VTEC? What else have you done to your car?

DEATHSARTHE - I thought of picking it up since they offered it too me at a pretty cheap price, but I had no idea about the car and its reputation or reliability.

Glad to see you like it though, thats a pretty good price, especially for whats done to it and the condition of the interior from what you say. Any way to post any pics of it?

ha actually I need to get some pics, needs a thorough cleaning though.

I just took it on a 1.1k mile road trip - Denver, CO to Baltimore, MD. So it's dirty, dirty. lol 19 years old and it took a 1.1k road trip like it was breakfast. Couldn't be happier with it.

but it is 19 years old, cars don't last forever. To give you an idea, I bought this babe back in Feburary - and while it's nice for now, definitely a very dependable A to B car, I'm already kinda looking at other options and maybe keep this one for a daily driver.

The engine kind of scares me. I don't know anything about Yamaha, neither does any of my friends or family. Parts might be difficult to find and maybe a little pricey. Haven't looked into it much, but yeah... definitely worth $1.4k I think, if all it needs is a brake job. 👍

Actually, my 2.2l VTEC is hidden under the blue cover on the far left of the picture.. :)
The car pictured has only the 2.0 engine, so it's not setting any speed records. I love the way it looks and drives though.

Im guessing a APR chip?
possible exhaust and maybe a S.E.A.T intake?

Eitherway if you have those mods guys have dyno'ed at 125kw at the wheels.

Not bad for a 1100kg car.

I have a 2008 model, red with leather interior.. Very lovely cars IMHO.

2005 dodge neon sxt 2.0 swaped.

l_41964864118a4a1caf8bb6dcbb77e915.gif

Dodge neon RT engine swap, Srt 4 headers ,Srt4 full exhaust, 185 whp currently. from 133 whp last dynoed in 2006, My baby's come a long way.

looking to go turbo in 2010. Or go for a full srt4 swap.

Not bad 👍

Are you planning on doing the swap yourself? If not, I'd look into selling it and just picking yourself up a SRT4 as the price tag wouldn't be that far from each other.

Well right now, I do not have around 10.000$ to shell out for a SRT4. lol, And yes, me and a couple friends are going to be doing the swap, I have already found a donar car,2002 dodge neon sxt with srt4 swap, and srt trans swap/brakes/suspension. that's going for 1100, but i made a deal and just might get it for 900 since he's a friend of mine,

Having a srt4 would be nice But i just do not have the money for that, and right now i'm making 8$ an hour at walgreens, Which is good enough for me lol.

And if the swap fails, i could always get a HaHn turbo system, Stage 1 would put me at around 285 whp stand or maybe 305 with a good tune. And since this a Road & track engine. it's alot stronger then a regular neon motor, Infact the internals in a RT motor are able to hold up to 400+ whp, which is pretty good, But still the turbo system is a pretty penny and i know it wont be easy, but since i come this far, i am not giving up on her. i remember back in the day when i was making 133 at the wheel's, 185 suits me just fine for right now, fun and peppy...but the handeling is god aweful, i have not put my new suspension system on yet. And man it is horrid driving on a mountain road...it's not that bad i mean, but it could be alot better..

Saturday I bought myself a new car! After I crashed my blue '06 Seat Leon, I'm going all black with this one. Black wheels, black everything actually..

It's not very typical to quote crank horsepower. What's it make at the wheels?

Dynapack dynos are measured at the hub and are corrected to show flywheel horsepower. Seems to be pretty accurate in that respect, though you get people arguing when they think that's wheel horsepower.

Actually, it is, in a sense. What do you think manufacturers quote? :sly:
Besides, usually, you can get the figures & get an idea for yourself if you know how the car works.

I drive a 1998 Chevy Silverado K1500 5 speed single cab...with a swapped LQ9 6.0L V8 engine from an SS Silverado! 350 Horsepower FTW!!! and 380 ft/lbs of torque!!!

Its also has straight piped duals, NO CAT CONVERTOR, got a K&N cold air intake, modded throttle body with spacer and I got a posi rear end. And some body work - SHAVED DOOR HANDLES, a shaved tailgate handle, shaved roll pan...two tone black and white paint.
For my sound system, I have a Pioneer AVH-P6800DVD double-din head unit, 2 Fi SSD 10" subwoofers ported @ 32Hz, a Sundown Audio SAZ-1200 1200 watt RMS amplifier, and a Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 amp running my Boston Acoustic midbasses and tweeters.
