Yeah they're surprisingly both roomy and comfortable. RB30's are great engines too. Not very powerful, but pretty strong and reliable. Mine's nearing on 280,000kms.

1988 Nissan Skyline GXE (R31). 3.0L RB30E inline-6, ugliest hubcaps ever, new stereo and soon to come is a new exhaust system as well.

Cost AU$2500, plus about another AU$1000 for the full stereo system. For the Aussies that don't know, this is the Nissan-badged version of the VL Commodore, but it's more powerful (apart from the VL Turbo), has more features and handles better. I might be upgrading to an R32 or R33 in the coming months, possibly even an SC400 Lexus Soarer or Impreza WRX.

Only thing it has in common with the VL is the engine, (hope thats what you meant, because the chassis' have nothing in common).

From factory the GXE produced 117kw and the Base model Commodore 114kw. (I think this is due to the different heads Nissan supplied to Holden).

Only reason Holden used this motor was that it needed a quickfire fix when new emissions laws came in 1986 and the 202ci 6cyl Holden motor didn't pass.

How can I not say my DA is the best though it's a far way away :sly:. 93 DA GS, with work ITR pistons, 4-puck clutch, cold air intake, ok Chikara headers (I prefer DC Sports or nothing), custom exhaust/piping work, Tokicko shocks, and other mumbo jumbo. It's the better of the 4 Honda's I've owned (93 EG DX, 93 EG LX, 90 DA LS).

Sorry car guys, I will always have a truck!

My 1999 C-Klasse, this car has the first V6 engine (M112) Benz ever produced which is a 2.8 liter aluminum silicone sleeved block and aluminum/magnesium head with 4 valves per cylinder. The SOHC engine is also equipped with variable valve timing and over 195hp.

Sorry for the cell phone pics, they really dont do this car justice.
She has a 6 layer clear coat that gives a candy, high gloss, mirror finish.
I've received compliments from other Benz owners about how immaculate I keep her.

I have driven this car across America (AZ-MI) and as of now I have 170k mi on the odo and still NOT 1 PROBLEM!
Theres not even a rattle or squeak in the interior when going over bumps or pot holes.
Of course I do all my regular maintenance on my car myself so that I know that its done right.
Just recently changed inner/outer front wheel bearings and seals, only spent $60 bucks and I did both sides in my back yard in less than 2 hours :sly:
She still rides like a brand new car, rolls smooth and quiet across pavement even with snow tires equipped.

I normally hate yellow on cars. But Dodge's just look badass in Yellow.👍

I am the same way as well. Trucks are the only way to go(I should hopefully be getting one this weekend).

A few recent pictures of my car. I've gotten rid of those nasty 'Celica SX' stickers from the side of the car, using a hair dryer (which turned out perfect). Also replaced the rims with a set of ZR spec rims, and bought a set of slimline custom plates 👍.

Can't wait to drive it in GT5 :sly:.

Not quite. I wish I had some extra coing to do things under the hood. :grumpy:

It's not grey, white or black like most every other truck I see.

It's just one of those things. I'd hate to ask a friend with a truck to move something from point A to point B.

You should take it mudding, well, off-roading. Been in Florida too long, lol.

Make it so you can't tell it's yellow :mischievous:

I work off of a dirt road so mudding is only a rain shower away.

I've been asked several times in the past week if I've posted ny car up in here yet so for the benefit of him asking and anyone who may be interested, here is my "new" car:

I can't decide if it's male or female, so I've named it Blue, in an ironical fashion as its closest neighbour is named Red ;)

Named it Blue? You're gonna give it an identity crisis!

What engine does it currently have?

Been a VERY long time since I was on GTP.

Anyway, I added another car to the stable when I moved from Los Angeles to Sacramento early this year. Between endless trouble with the WRX (Which is now at my parents' house with a "non-operational vehicle" permit.), even more trouble with my project 325is, and the small size of the S2000, I needed something that wouldn't break every couple weeks, would be cheap to maintain, would have room for my photography gear and whatever else I need to cart all over the country, but wouldn't be dead boring, so I called around to a few dealers and settled on a new car.

What I ended up with is an '09 Honda Civic Si Sedan, with SatNav and summer tires, in Taffeta White. Had it since early March, and I'm about to go get my second scheduled oil change. Car's been great, though, with the exception of the fact that there are a few interior rattles I really didn't expect on a brand-new Honda.

Funny you would post this a year to date of when I got my 2008 Si Sedan. Too bad its not when you got it.

Needs more Cummins, but it'll do for now. ;)

Edit: Whoops...multiple tabs...forgot what thread I was in. Mods?

and then the two winter vehicles a 1996 Tahoe 2dr and a 2004 Explorer

Wow, long time no see. How has the Shelby been treating ya? Any problems you've come across with it so far? I've seriously thought about taking one for a test drive, but I don't want to start liking it only to find out its as problem cursed as the cars Shelby had his name on in the 80's.

Nice ride I like the new Honda :)!

Yea I'm back because of the new FM and GT games coming out.

It's been awesome. Once you mod it enough, its a track beast. I've had two problems with it. The parking brake came from factory adjusted too tight so that it was dragging to the right during driving and one of the intercooler hoses was kinked from factory. A few design problems other than that. The harmonic balancer from the factory I swear is off a F-150, and I wish the battery had been placed stock in the trunk. I've worn through the crappy and really hard compound Goodyear Eagle Supercar tires. Ditching them for BFG G-Force T/As or the Nitto NT-05s.

Added billet lower control arms, aluminum driveshaft, 3.73 final gear, SLP 3.5 inch exhausts, Evolution performance ECU tune with carbon fiber CAI, reduced weight harmonic balancer, moved the battery to the trunk, refashioned the rear diffuser for a little more df, removed the hood weatherstripping and insulation, 4 point belts (roll cage sooner or later), steel brake lines, 600 degree brake fluid, Performance Friction Brakes track day pads and a short throw shifter, adjustable Steeda anti-roll bars.

Sounds like you've been busy. The problems just sound like classic Ford factory glitches (my moms F150 4x4 was full of them, but after finding/solving them, everythings running fine). Why remove the weather stripping and insulation from the hood though? Air flow/heat problems or poor design flaw?

I think in most cases stock tires are there just to get you to the tire shop for real ones, especially on a car like yours.

Any video's of you at the track yet? I have yet to see any GT500's at the track around here, so its nice to hear you actually take yours out and don't just leave it sitting in the garage. 👍

Great videos, and nice whine, the car sounds awesome. 👍

So why the V6 Mustang if you also have a winter beater?!

Thanks!

The V6 is the spring/fall daily driver and the GT500 is only for the summer and then some weekends outside of May-September.

Just remembered that I didn't answer the whole insulation/weatherproofing Q you had. I found that the air flows better under the hood because the weather stripping was bottling up air under the hood creating some lift. Also the under hood insulation tends to keep the supercharger hotter.

I never thought of that with the supercharger and insulation, you would think that would be a hp loss with all the build up of heat from the supercharger/engine. Is that a normal fix that a lot of owners do, or just something you've done yourself?

It was just something I did looking at it one day. I had been getting a high-speed vibration starting at about 120 mph and getting worse all the way till I backed off at 145 but once I did this and lowered the car an inch with Tokico D-Spec shocks and FRRP springs its all buy vanished. There's a slight bit left but I chalk that up to pushing the brick of a front end and the meh tires.
