Very nice VX220 Chris; I love the subtle yet tasteful modifications. Have you had it professionally photographed yet? Too bad they were never sold as Holdens down here (thanks to common parents we share about 50% of each other's models).

Oh I forgot to update on this thread... I end up keeping the Mazdaspeed 3. Earlier I said I had to return it to the dealer a day after I got it... but everything is fine now.

These are just quick shots when I first got my MS3. After the first car wash...

Have 3100 miles on her already... and loving it! First manual gearbox, so it's been a fun learning experience too.

Fantastic looking VX that. Is the number plate supposed to look like "ARSE" too?

Was the pretty blonde an optional accessory or were you lucky enough to "own" it beforehand? :D

Been a VERY long time since I was on GTP.

Anyway, I added another car to the stable when I moved from Los Angeles to Sacramento early this year. Between endless trouble with the WRX (Which is now at my parents' house with a "non-operational vehicle" permit.), even more trouble with my project 325is, and the small size of the S2000, I needed something that wouldn't break every couple weeks, would be cheap to maintain, would have room for my photography gear and whatever else I need to cart all over the country, but wouldn't be dead boring, so I called around to a few dealers and settled on a new car.

What I ended up with is an '09 Honda Civic Si Sedan, with SatNav and summer tires, in Taffeta White. Had it since early March, and I'm about to go get my second scheduled oil change. Car's been great, though, with the exception of the fact that there are a few interior rattles I really didn't expect on a brand-new Honda.

Time for an update, and christ has it been a long time...

My new play-toy is a 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais Quad 442. (Say that five times fast..) The cars the full High-Output model, has the stock "sport" suspension with rear sway bar, five speed manual transmission, and factory air. There are only 1364 made for '91. :D

It has a Spectre Short-Ram intake, Flowmaster 40 Series 2.5" Exhaust, front strut bar (as you can see) and Full Bose Audio as modifications I've made. It's rated at around 205 horsepower as it sits and I play with (stock) supercharged GTP Grand Prix's, Tiburons (doesn't matter what engine), and a few others around here.

Cheers,
Jetboy

Oh, might as well throw in a shot of the new car. Haven't had much chance to do a real shoot of it yet, this was an afterthought when out to shoot other stuff, and doesn't really look great.

Wow, what a deal! Hopefully you don't wreck it!
Funny you say that.. :odd: Don't hex me man, haha. No, I let my mate drive it a while after I first got her (The top pic is from May, the bottom last week.) and after ten minutes the ****rod finds the only godd***ed deer in the county; suprisingly I only need a hood.

I don't drive in the rain. The tires are good, I'm aware there are positions of throttle less than full, but it doesn't matter. I have no traction in the first two gears under 40 mph. It's terrifying and exhillerating coming up from a 1.5L Hyundai Scoupe with all of 100 hp. It took as much effort to get the wheels to spin on it as it does to keep them from spinning in this.

Plans: Fidanza lightweight flywheel and upgrade to the W41 Option Chip so it can rev out to 8,000. (Current red-line is 7,300 which is cutting the powerband short.) If I could host recordings from my cell phone on here, I would. It sounds wicked :D.

Clean Civic Takumi! 👍

Cheers,
Jetboy

I never did post pics of my Focus that I got after my sisters little winning... So here they are.. Taken I think in February... And there kind of big so I'll just post a link.

There are a few dings on it... All of them from my sister, but the one on the left rear are from a buss hitting her when she was sitting in traffic in her lane... Golden Gate Transit said they had nothing to do with it... With my sister not doing anything about it, it makes me look like a bad driver having that crap on it. Oh well, eff them.

1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1. I spent nine months rebuilding from my brother's multi-car accident in 1999.

FMX Auto (gone)

Custom Rear Disc Brakes featuring Cadillac El Dorado Calipers & Lincoln Mark VII Rotors

The 15X7 Magnum 500 Wheels fit those brakes.

Update on the 'Stang. It now has a 2 1/2" Magnaflow exhaust w/ reproduction Mach 1 Tips, AOD has now replaced the FMX, polyurethane suspension and motor mounts.

1988 Nissan Skyline GXE (R31). 3.0L RB30E inline-6, ugliest hubcaps ever, new stereo and soon to come is a new exhaust system as well.

Cost AU$2500, plus about another AU$1000 for the full stereo system. For the Aussies that don't know, this is the Nissan-badged version of the VL Commodore, but it's more powerful (apart from the VL Turbo), has more features and handles better. I might be upgrading to an R32 or R33 in the coming months, possibly even an SC400 Lexus Soarer or Impreza WRX.

My mate has an R31, they're actually surprisingly big inside. Unfortunately, one night we were drinking and his car was broken into and we didn't even hear it. Cleared out his stereo system.
