Just updated both my times.

Tuned - 1:36.889
Stock - 1:49.286
Overall - 3:26.175 (9th)

Sixaxis controller, no TCS, manual trans.

still improving, but I've hit a plateau in the tuned car, but plenty of room in the normal Z. And it seems the normal car is harder, hence my higher ranking :)

I see people hitting way higher speeds in some corners, and there is no way I can go as fast as them through the same turns...

Some of these guys from Europe in the 3:24 area look impossible to beat though.

Just dropped nearly 2 seconds off my normal times.

I went from a 1.51.940 to a 1.50.156! I was hoping for an extra .500 overall, but I hit a good groove and was dropping .400 several laps in a row.

I'm racing with the G25 and I've learned to be a little softer with the pedals. Feather the throttle and be soft on the brake.

You don't become Div 2 Gold (IMHO probably into Div 1 Bronze now) by accident mate:dunce: Great times, i can't see me hauling half a second back on you now.....
 
Don't remember my times with the Standard car but they were good enough for the 800's but I got a 1:38.7 with the tuned car. Gosh darn traction control slowing me down. Also curse that left analog stick that stuck to the left and ran me into the wall right before my 1:38.2 lap.

I don't have a wheel, and it seems that I can't achieve nearly high enough speeds on some corners. Started at 1:55:xxx today so I shaved 3 seconds, will keep trying.

Anyone here (dongyuanxinjie88). How the hell do the people get into the 3.24 range??
 
Stock: 1'51.551 <- have only tried for about an hour, but don't suspect to do much better.
Tuned: 1'38.063 <- took me almost 3 hours to post that time and I am still 1.5 seconds off pace...ARG
Overall: 3'29.614
 
Stock: 1:48.6 - That DHolland guy is impossibly quick. I can only get within .5 of a second of him.
Tuned: Havn't really put much time into it yet, so not good.

Gunna try for a stock 1:48.4 then move over to the tuned.

Love the physics engine.

Yay!! I haven't yet registered for a GTP_ name.. but mine on the ranking is "scoobyonline2000"... and I just broke past the 1000s.. I'm currently 616th place... which is WAAAAYY off from what some of you guys are doing.. but at least for me its like 10th place!! hahaha.... I got a lot of work to do if I want to be up there with the rest of you..

then I need to register for my GTP name... Oh and it was in the Tuned Z....

But the first day was still getting used to the physics, of course my initial time could be expected to be flogged.:sly: The second day I felt close to my limits so I expected to get beaten, then today I tried faster much better techniques and already feel close to my limits.:sly: Maybe a tenth or 2 in each car, I will keep trying.:) I've noticed some drivers that have only put effort into 1 car also, but are considerably faster than I am in that car, so once they do both I expect them to shoot up high straight on to the leaderboard above me.:)
 
1:40.2 or so. I improved from 1:43 after playing about an hour putting traction 0. Professional physics is hard but i think i am getting the hang of it. i am going for the win to go to indy 500!
 
Had another go today (ironically right before my driving test, which I failed by 2 points -_-)
and managed to take another few tenths out of my tuned time and a big big chunk out of non tuned. Almost got into top 15, I reckon I could, but I'll give it a break for now..

Tuned - 1:37.299
Non-tuned - 1:49.302
Total - 3:26.601

Aus in total is a tight competition.. If I gain half a sec i'd move up to 11th :D
EDIT: Just noticed something on the leaderboards. Above Hollands name, theres another one called "My Record", where the number box is highlighted gold (the number is 68). What does this mean? Does it mean that with those times I was at the highest and now those times are 68th?
 
Wow, you guys are great. No doubt we have the best in the world amongst us.
Tuned- I pulled a measly 1.39.737 still haven't given stock much play time. I know I can go faster..
 
Just ran a 1'37.913 a little while ago, was in 49 place overall. I think i'm pretty much tapped out with the tuned 370z, will go back to the normal car and see if i can knock off anymore time.

Time Trial ran with PSN FLASH48.

I feel like the Tin Man when I race...been too long everything's gone stiff, especially my rum and coke :) About 3 hours in and I can FINALLY get some consistent laps in a row. I had a really sloppy 1:49.936 and its 12am, I'm done until....(later) today, hehe.

tried my best and i cant get any better....

my first proper gt was gt5p and that too i played on standard so this TT was a bit diffcult for me......

also i cant get the hang of manual and hence play on auto and with a controller...

here are my bad timings.....

Tuned - 1.39.1xx
Stock - 1.51.3xx

i also notice that if i follow a stock ghost for the tuned car i can get consistently in the mid and higher 39 but cant beat my best.....any suggestions ?

sorry if i am in the wrong thread.....
 
Man, was is it with people in Finland?

Denmark, Norway and Finland have about the same number of citizens yet 13 out of the top 20 in the combined nordic leaderboard are finns, four are from Denmark and only two from Norway. Not to mention Sweden who event though we are almost twice as many people as in Finland still only can manage to have two racers in the top twenty.
