Impressed and depressed.

With the times posted and my times ;-)

1.51.7-8 or something Normal. Still, I've only had time for 3 sessions so I'm sure I can lower that further. If other humans are doing 1.48s why can't I, it's just steering, braking and turning not rocket science. At least I assume these guys are human and not racing cyborgs beamed back from the future. Positive attitude and all that!

good job Chris 👍 but we all know you cant take part :sly:

its a shame struppi is out :(

compliments also to US thats tight there

Speaking of, makes you wonder how many in your top 20 aren't 18 or hold a racing license......

Just improved my overall time to 3'24.620 (P1 USA) 1'36.192/Tuned & 1'48.428/Stock.

I used the DFGT today instead of the Fanatec GT3RS wheel, and it made a huge difference in being able to control the tuned Z properly. With the Fanatec (particularly the clubsport pedals) it's super hard to keep the car balanced upon corner entrance while braking, not to mention the FFB even at the lowest setting is too strong for my taste. My best splits show that I can do a sub 36 in the tuned Z, so hopefully I will hit that in the next few days 👍

I still need to go back and get some more seat time in the stocker. I've been letting that thing sit to dry as I've been trying to get a better handle on the tuned Z, which fortunately I managed do today, so maybe I'll try and improve my stock 370Z time over the weekend :)

Thanks mate  It's going to be a long drawn out war, that's for sure :scared:  You're doing a mighty great job yourself....keep it up!

In the UK I am 6008th at the moment - which isn't too shabby for about 5 laps in each.

My Stock is about 4000th - and Tuned about 15000th!!

Top GTPlanet racer in the UK is GTP_Hyperspeed - who is currently sitting in 8th place and is 1.4 seconds slower than the Number 1 guy (GTDrivers_Moose) with

yeti_c 1.47.288, 1.55.744, 3.43.032
GTP_Hyperspeed 1'36.897, 1.48.867, 3.25.764
GTDrivers_Moose 1.36.112, 1.48.204, 3.24.316

I'm currently driving on my DS2 though - and feel that it's definitely a handicap - but I know that I'm not nearly trained enough on my wheel yet!!

It's a whole lot of fun though - and she's quite twitchy!! - Has anyone clipped the barrels going into the first bend... collision physics are much better than any GT I've played before on that.

the brake pedal (on DFGT) is stiffer than the throttle?

Yea it is stiffer...but not by much though (maybe 150% stiffer 💡)

The brake on the Fanatec clubsport pedals is way stiffer than the DFGT brake pedal, which in a game where you are stationary, IMO it is not needed to have a brake pedal that stiff. In a car it is good to have a stiff brake pedal of course, because when you brake your body weight wants to shift forward naturally, and if you had a really soft touchy brake pedal (like on the DFGT) it would be hard to handle and quite dangerous. But when you are sitting stationary while playing a sim racer, I think the DFGT pedals are very good (at least for me) as you can use a much more delicate touch to modulate the pedals 👍

I see Dan has found another 1/10th or so...... sub 1'48.00 now in the stock 370z and a total of 3'23.771.

Incredible.

Ah but his times might be beaten. He's currently no. 1 but with enough effort there are a few drivers out there who could challenge his position.

Either way, i think we have our first finalist.

Board updated, and again that YAM guy from Japan is quicker than our alien Dan :)

Ooh look i was right :sly:

Many many times my friend  You have to cut across the kerb there to get the fastest line, but its difficult not to clip the barrier. (Both my times have taken a wider line, there at least .3 of a second to gain by cutting the kerb, more if you count the time gained into turn 2)

The collision physics are awesome, just hope its the same for actual walls. Anyone tried grinding the walls before the main straight? I guess they're too wide, but is there a lot of friction?

Do the Honk Kong, AUS, Japanese, Europe and US store demos have seperate leaderboards?

My HK demo currently says I'm 155 in the world with 1'44 tuned and 1'57 normal, making me 3rd in AUS/NZ according to the leaderboard but on another forum people are posting their times a lot quicker and they're not showing.

I don't think I'm the 155 fastest in the world by any means, should I actually download the AUS store demo?

Ran a short session and improved on my Normal car lap with a 1'47.911, there probably 1.5 tenths left out there, cheers

You're doing awesome :D I think i speak for most GTPlanet users in saying if we don't get to the next round we will be rooting for you :)

^this is incredible.

Tuned: 1'37.471
Normal: 1'50.172
Total: 3'27.643

Currently 31st in US

I really feel like I hit a plateau tonight with my times in both cars but mainly the normal one. Hopefully it's just due to the lack of sleep the past few days caused by this damn demo, prolly less than 10 hours. Now i'm just making excuses. I'll try some more monday and see how I do.

Watching video replays of the leaders really helps. I just cracked under 1:40 in the tuned. I can't drive the stock one, I'm just so sick of TCS. I feel like I've just about maxed what I'm capable of anyway, atl east until I watch a replay of it.

Ran a few laps tonight, using only the tuned car atm.
Did a 1'38.9xx Still using AT, going to start using MT within 30min :D.
Using the DS3, but yeah I have 1'36 are possible with it, also in the Dutch rankings.

Its funny to see how meagainstyou is just miles ahead of his direct competition.

well, its getting harder to find time. Especially with the Australian leaderboard tightening up.
MarkWebber (GTP_DHolland) ;i dont know how your creaming everyone so badly- well done mate!!!

but i hope i can still improve a lot more. The controller is really limiting my slow corner exit precision with throttle/steering!!!

I'm 20th at the moment in australia and sweating. lol

tuned-1.37.2xx
road- 1.49.37x
total- 2.26.6xx

off to download more ghosts and turn a lot more fast laps!!!

Currently 14th overall in the UK. Done about 30 laps in each car.

Overall : 3'26.1xx

Tuned : 1'36.842
Normal: 1'49.316

I've spent all my time on the Normal car so far and have to admit I am finding it desperately difficult.

Normal: 1'49.077

I have on more than ten occasions now been 0.150 at least better off at T2 only to lose it all again in the last hairpins.

This is frustration and not much else for me at the moment. If anyone knows their splits it would be useful to know if the first 2 splits are ok for me, I'm averaging on a good lap 28.2 and 55.0.

I have only done 3 laps in the tuned car, enough to know it's absolutely wonderful, but until I break 1'48 convincingly I won't drive it properly, hence me being quite low down the overall rankings in the UK currently.

I am in awe of the times set by my peers (or at least they were before they started kicking my ass!) CarlPKY[US] and pad user JackSTanley[GB]. Well done guys

All the best

Went a couple of tenths quicker just now with the normal car.

Currently 13th in the UK...though I expect not for long lol.

Total: 3'25.934

Tuned: 1'36.842
Normal: 1'49.092

Man, I suck at driving, I'm doing around 1:41 every lap with the tuned car, I simply can't find the appropriate braking spots on this track! When I use the fastest lap ghost replay I always end running on the grass, seems like kinda difficult to lift a bit of the brakes when entering the turn, the car always oversteer a bit.

Managed to get mine goal for today, just ran 1'37.970 little over a second better, I did use MT this time finding it mutch more comfortable. But there is still some time left :).

Sitting next to Sjaak atm at place 46 :D. Next goal is to catch Yamauchi's time.

Did a quick 10laps in the normal car for the first time, ran a 1'51.116.

Great laps mate

I just nailed 1'48.829 in the normal for 12th but you've just bumped me down

Ah well, that's me done until Sunday afternoon. Have fun guys and great work 👍
