Great job bud! đź‘Ť

Save a space for me ;) hmm just jinxed it didn't I? :boggled:

Nice work Maz đź‘Ť Keep it up mate!

MAY, my friend it’s not about like or dislike,
It’s about the opportunity we lose, to have a very accurate simulator, gt5p.
Go to the rankings and play Lucas Ordonez lap, when he breaks, when accelerates,
Remember the guy drives the real think. He knows one set of physics, the real ones.
The physics of this demo is beyond his imagination.
And lastly, I was always polite to others. Because some guys they don’t like what I’m saying,
You see how they react. Not my problem.

Merry Christmas!

I don't understand why you think GT5 Prologue is such a realistic simulator to begin with  Maybe you should try a game like Iracing if you're so worried about realistic physics, because Prologue is far from being "very accurate" for a number of reasons...

Damn! Would you guys give it a rest?!:ill: Thank you in advance...

EDIT: I love GT series for a decade! But i tried the Life For Speed the other day with a wheel, and it felt very very "real"! Probably better physics than GT! So what?!

w00t, I now fastest with stick in Holland by just 0.002 overall.
Tuned: 1'36.956 I lost a tenth because I saw the good spilts kind of shame because last sector isn't that hard, ohwell still room for improvment.
Normal: 1'49.258
verall: 3'26.214 Puts me in place 28 :)

Take it easy, you're right up my arse :sly:

I improved my time a little bit. :)

12
Gaviao_GTPT
1'36.877
1'49.231
3'26.108

I'm improving my times little by little but I can't improve my ranking lool

Like one of my favorite groups U2 says, it's just running to stand still

WOOT!! Finally on the ranking board (Australia), so you can download at least my Normal Z ghost replay :)

Big improvement today on the Normal Z.
man the differences between each place is minute...

also I found that you can scroll the ranking list down faster by press the right D-Pad button

Tuned: 1'36.421
Normal: 1'48.637
Total: 3'25.058

Currently Scandinavian #12, I'm happy enough if I can stay in TOP20!

Well done mate:)! We never know what will happen in the finals:tup:! Anything is possible hehe!

Well I think I am done for the time being, haven't been able to beat my current records.

Tuned: 1'37.471 - This I am happy with, getting consistant high 37s
Normal: 1'50.173 - Getting very frustrated, I just wanna run a low 49, hell I can't even make it around the first 5 turns anymore without sliding and losing time.

Overall is still 3'27.643, currently good for 100th in US.

Props to those who keep finding time.

Merry Chistmas brah!

About Lucas' lap: I imagine he set his lap time in a very short period of time, as opposed to him playing the demo for several hours a day, day after day after day. Maybe if you look at everyones lap times after an hour of playing and compared those times to Lucas' they would be much closer. And to think the guy who won GT Academy (1) cant stay within 2 seconds of the leaders is ludicrous.

This postulate could be far from reality, like video games, but it's not, like Gran Turismo

Well i guess i'm done too. I can't seem to get any lower and cannot for the life of me figure out why. I feel as if i am doing exactly what the leaders are doing with different results. Oh well. My tuned is 1'38.401 which to me is kind of upsetting. I'm not even concerned with the normal since it is locked at 7 on tcs. Oh yeah, i still use the controller.... For now. Not being able to shave these couple seconds off has prompted me to order a wheel though. Merry christmas to me. Lol

rank 94 sangbyung 1'37.641 1'49.874 3'27.515

i had 1:37 481 but it got invalidated. I cant go any faster than this. I was pushing hard about an hour with tuned z370 but i am just getting 1:37:6XX for 10 tries. i need to take a break from it i guess.

In order to get a fast lap, you needed to do exactly what a real racer does, exactly what they teach at racing schools.
So the basic physics was the real ones.

I thought we all worried for this to be “The REAL DRIVING simulator” don’t you?

Merry Christmas to you too

His original lap was 1.37.4xx if I remember correct.
He played again and again and itÂ’s now 1.36.9xx.
In the real physics, you (Lucas) know exactly what you have to do,
You can do from the start a very fast lap and then you fine tune
Your inputÂ’s as in real life.

George has a very good point here.
When i started playing the demo with the tuned car, i got a 37.4 after two hours.
Now, after lots of time with the tuned i have a 36.1.
In a week i will have a 35.7...and so it goes on...

This margin of 1.3 seconds that i already have with my first really good attempt is not something you could see in real life.

The difference between real life and GTDemo is that in GT,in order to pull a good lap,you have to find the tricks first and to find them takes time.

In real life there are no tricks.

The Logitech DFEX among others
Ok, thanks.

Take it easy, you're right up my arse :sly:
Haha, that is only in overall time. I think you should be able to improve your tuned laptime by atleast half a sec, judging by your normal car laptime đź‘Ť

I don't think Lucas needed to find the trick, like you metioned he probley he sat for 2hours the first time doing a lap. After 2hours you don't fully know the track, he has never driven the track before. So ofcourse he improves by alot of time the second time he gives it a try. That is no trick.

Incorrect, magnificently.

In real life there would be exactly the same tricks, but the difference is that you can't attempt to find these tricks because you would be risking your own life and the cars in order to find them. But with this demo and like with gran turismo in general, you can restart after you crash, in real life there are no restarts, hence a much more timid pace is needed, i think it's just the fact that Greece is not included in the Academy that you, along with George, are trying to bring it down.

In real life there are physics laws and mathematic laws, witch tell
You what you can and what you can’t do. How do you think we went to the moon, by accident?
I’m sorry my friend, but if you think you can drive like that in real life, I wouldn’t want to be
Anywhere near you.

I disagree. And i laugh at your ridiculous theories of me trying to bring down GT academy. I'm just trying to open your eyes so that when Mr.Kazunori reads GT5 demo opinions in Gtplanet,he will have second thoughts about the physics engine and maybe fix it so that 6 months from now,we can play the Real Drving Simulator and not this crap.

When i am talking about tricks, i don't mean real race tricks like the selection of racing lines or braking points or gears etc but cheats...

Because throwing the car in the corner with trail brake oversteer and hope to not lose the apex because of the ridiculous grip the car has...is a cheat.

I suggest you get your minds right and see that your opinion counts massively and has a great impact on what the game will look like when you buy it 6 months from now...you have the chance to change what you don't think is accurate enough...Don't settle with this so easily.

if the game comes out with this physics i bet you will buy it anyway  i mean.. will you moan forever or you'll play the best racing game in the world!? if you're a real fan of the series you'll play it, if not... you have other racing games that might sweet you.. if not.. start a game company and make your real game... if not if not if not... dont play racing games because they will never be real.. like you'll never feel a woman in a console.. :D

saying that... im not saying you are totally wrong.. but this is what we got and its not bad at all... but what you gain moaning about that!? send PD an email explaining your ideas and maybe you'll get a job.. because i bet they want, more than you, to get near of the real thing. if you found the secret you can make lots of money with that ;)

Why would any developer wish to wade through reams of message board information to analyse driver behaviour/style in order to determine the integrity of their product? Surely, as I believe theyÂ’re already doing, it is more logical & productive to collect data from the root source and use this data to generate the information they desire.

Regarding driving style, it is often frowned upon to criticise another members driving style. I know you haven’t exactly directed your “cheat” opinion/claim to anyone directly as yet, but being experienced in reading between the lines I know where this is possibly leading to, so be careful.

We all have different driving styles in order to maximise our potential within the game regardless of how perfect, or not, the game is. Accept this and move on.

Hi all, interesting topic and an age old debate too. I actually think its more like reality than people dare to admit, I mean I honestly think that Dan Holland would be a better racing driver than me because of his fine motor skills and sensitivity being a touch more hightened than mine. Its about judgement, timing, reflexes and experience either the game or in reality. Sometimes I think I could judge things a bit more consistently, especially those times when you've sat there too long and you go stale, the other factors I'm happy with.
Regarding lucas's lap I thought he must've hardly spent any time on it at all I beat that as soon as I found where to brake for T1 and T12 which was about 5 minutes, who knows what rig he was sat at though he would'nt have had everything to his liking. And regards finding the tricks in reality then it must be much harder since you cannot afford to crash or follow a ghost. I would still hire the top 5 WW drivers though they're less likely to be unsuccesful than anyone else !
HX & HNY

Got down to a 1'36.002 in the tuned car with my new G25, but I have no idea where I'm going to find 0.6 to try and catch Dan... That is just ridiculous. My aim is to beat a fellow TT-R driver! DEVIE.... :D
