Normally Red Party Hat has a good setup but today we just didn't have enough LSD (or maybe I didn't LOL). Matty was quicker and he seemed to have more grip out of the slow corners. I needed to crank up my LSD a bit I think to do better. My rears were going away very quickly within about 12 laps which was ashame.

Towards the end of the race my left ankle started getting soar from being crunched up (needed to slide pedals back). Then the car started sliding again like it did at the end of the 1st run. Luckily I went slower on my 2nd run and could keep ahold of it. Neljack was way back and not coming at us hard so we rolled in thankfully, not having to push those tires to the end of their cancerous life.

so pee'd off now. Started last after having DC troubles during quali. Got up to 6th in lap 1 from 13th. Coming out of T1 on L2 I get lag wrecked. Back to last with tyres with a fair bit less life. Come through the field, get back up to 5th on lap 8/9. Catch up to the Redbull's (only knew there were 2 after me and matty swapped places and I then paused the game to see if he re-appeared, and he did.). Anyway, on their tails as we pit. Somehow get past Matty in the pits, come out a few seconds behind Rich. Catch up in half a lap, then everyone starts lagging, someone tells me I've hit him off, then those famous words.

Not being big headed or being up my own ars* but I was quick enough for 3rd today and my connection let me down. Seriously annoyed.

No I agree that you were definitly good enough for third, just got unlucky in the end. No hard feeeling as that incident with mustard didn't effect the reuslt too much.

It wasn't avoiding cars that got you your car just went straight on at the chicane and pushed him into the wall. At most you lost him 1 pos. but I personally don't think that harmed us too much as smuffy probably would have caught and overtook us anyway.

When a guy's in the middle of disconnecting, there's not much he can do as far as how his car behaves on everyone else's screen. Mustard was just the unlucky one who got hit.

I personally don't think GT5 implemented DC's well at all, in iRacing for the sake of example, when your connection goes dodgy you dissapear and when it heals you rejoin, sure it's scary when your the guy with the bad connection mid pack on a oval, but for the most part its very good.

Smuffy was faster, I couldnt have held him off really. He had non cancerous healthy tires.

Was kartman the one who DC'd on the last lap at SSRX? I remember someone loosing all visual and driving by the car behind telling him where he was. Very strange issue. I wonder if limiting the field to 12 cars would solve it, perhaps starting an ARCA series. 💡 I mean, not srsly but I think it would be cool.

I think the problem was partly on GT5's end, partly on kartmans end. He was having connection issues all day.

I doubt it's anything to do with me; back when I had a wireless connection, there were guys that I was always 'incompatible' with, regardless of host.

I have hardwired internet with pretty much the fastest provider in my area. I honestly don't think I'm the problem.



This is with my laptop, PS3, ipod and my mom's tablet all using the internet.

It's happened before, usually 2 people's connections don't mingle when the host isn't really compatible for both of them to connect I guess.

I was getting a constant 2.4mbs ( 300kBs) for the whole day. Something has happened because in a few rooms I have joined I get disconnected after about 20 seconds. This happened from Tuesday onwards, I was fine in a v8 lobby on monday night for about 90 mins. Did an enduro on Tuesday and dc'ed about 4 times in that, and that was my end , not the hosts. I have a feeling 2.08 may be having a slight effect

If you aren't running fixed host, the speed of the host's connection isn't really that important. It just seems like sometimes the rooms are stable and sometimes they're not.

60 laps at Daytona, piece of cake no-stop

If you still think it's the better idea to stay on hards MULE....

Mule, I think my connection maybe a viable option for us.

Connection via wifi though iPhone. My PS3's are hard wired.

Try a server that is farther out then <50 miles. The close servers will always ping good and run speeds up.
