Would have been nice if people actually said they wouldnt bother showing up so I didn't have to waste my time opening a room. Only Stormtrooper did, and he's not even full time. Thanks, guys.

Isn't this a bye week? I'm sorry for not being around but I thought it was a bye week and decided to not do any racing.

There was a race. A fun, non-points race, but a race nonetheless, with a chance to race against us SC drivers. Did you not get my PM?

If missing a non points race is gonna get me lumped into a group that is being put down. Just remove me completely. I don't want to be a hassle for anyone. So just take me off the list and I won't be any worry to anyone here.

Thanks.

seriously?

What did I do, other than try to host a fun race to break out of the seriousness of the season? Nobody had to race, but it would have been nice to post a simple heads up that you weren't going to.

But really, why quit now? You're not being a hassle to anyone.

Can I do anything right this week?

It's not so much a right or wrong. Just don't disrespect regular season drivers for not showing up on a bye week. I myself make sacrifices to race Saturday at noon. So when a bye week came about I didn't want to race. I wanted to enjoy a Saturday morning with no worries. Now it seems we are being chastised for not showing up or responding to a non scheduled non points race.

I figured those that was racing would respond. Responding I wasnt racing is just one more wasted PM when only those racing needed to reply. In my eyes.

I also won't be racing next season so just looking to finish racing my committed races. Had I known you expected a yes or no from this spot race, I would of responded no. However the race in my eyes was not important nor a concern. All that mattered in my eyes was being back next week for the regular season. So I went on my way and planned to get back to practice next week.

With that
• I will finish the season as quitting isn't my style. However If the stress level comes up I may be forced to walk away. I race on GT5 for fun and to get away from stress of daily life. When stress is making its way into my hobby it's time to reexamine what's causing it.

Edit:

Steve, I'm sorry if you was offended by me not responding or showing up. Know that wasn't my intention, I was just looking to enjoy a bye week. Also I do appreciate all your efforts.

I did respond to pm. Granted, it was about 6 hours after you sent it, at 3 am. The whole "all star" kinda pushed me away.

I think all Mule meant was it would be good from a hosting point of view to know for definite who was and wasn't coming, because if know one was going to come and decided they didn't need to reply, he still has to turn up just in case people do turn up. If everyone told him they weren't going to go, he could have done something else instead :)

Hmmm. Then possibly a request for such information, specifying how and where to respond, prior to the event, would have been a good idea.

Mule,

No, in an endeavor such as this, you will never get anything "right". Someone, somewhere, isn't going to like how you do it. Just do it how you want it done and carry on. The devil can take the hindmost.

I just had no idea we were supposed to notify anyone that we weren't running. If I had known you wanted no show notification for the fun race I would've let you know last week since I'd decided then I wasn't going to be there. I supposed I could've asked... My apologies for not doing so.

I had a can of Red Bull today. :sly: Good stuff, cant get those very often though at $3.64. I guess they need to pay for all their airplanes & spaceships. Maybe their planning on colonizing mars.

If any of you NW guys can make the timeslot, there is a lot of races that can be filled this season for SC primarily in the JGR for like the remainder of the season. Would be good to get more people in as there is now tending to be more people racing in NW than in SC. :ouch:

I will be there on Saturday, if KBM has an available ride (which is very likely).

I'm returning to the track this Saturday after a long needed break from Gt5. If this race isn't fun or if there's any crap at the end then I'm peacin outta here.

Lol, it's SSRX I believe. There's bound to be T3 carnage!

At least it looks like we'll have more than the 10 we had at Suzuka East :). (Not that 10's bad, was kinda low for this season though :embarrassed:)

As long as no one gets put in the middle of two lines, lag wrecks and/or wrecks on the straightaway then I believe we all won't be too upset. T3 wrecks are bound to happen. But are not acceptable on first lap IMO. Really not expecting much from this race. Just looking forward to working with a teammate in this one.

There will be more fuel conserving and less aggressive driving then the last race because last season in SC, I made 10 laps fairly easily without pitting @ SSRX as did like 7 other guys. Probably could've done 11 as I still had some gas remaining.

At least in this series I have the comfort of knowing the race regulations are spelled out very clearly indeed.

Looking forward to tomorrow's race.
