My fuel was fine prior to the wreck, just couldn't make it by myself full throttle after I got collected.

Also, since RPH and MULE have raced 3 races, does that mean they cannot partake in any more Nationwide races?

ya think??????? Real dirty move

It's not that dirty. That's not something you do every race, but if you were fighting for position and it came down to the wire, and the guy you were battling had a run on you that close to the end of the race, you would probably have done the same. If I were the one to the inside who had a run, I would have expected you to bump me into the wall.

Anyways, I will accept all/any penalties and/or probation. I'm not the kind of guy who whines about being penalized, I understand that if I did something wrong, I deserve it.

Hopefully, next week goes well, and I don't piss anybody off, or more importantly, get an infraction. I'm unofficially on probation for now, so one more incident during probation, and I can be done for good.

Storm, you need to know that it is no way acceptable to stick someone in the wall when they're alongside, you don't see anyone else doing it so why would you think its normal?

Look the guy knows he's made a mistake and he'll accept any penalty that may come so let's just leave it there. We all make mistakes.

Yup. Let Mule do his review and assess penalties where he deems them appropriate and move on to the next race. Motegi here we come.

There's a big difference between blocking, and putting a guy into a wall when he's already past you.

If he was behind you, and you blocked him once and made him bump you from behind, that would have been fine. But he was already ahead of you, and you turned dead left, squeezing him and passing him back. Zero tolerance for that from me. That's stuff you expect to see in Dirty Daytona rooms, not in an organized clean racing league.

Alright, I viewed the replay for that incident. Let me explain what I saw:

Frasier had a run on me after turn 4, and tried to pass. As he began passing, I went outside trying to block him. However, about half of his car was already beside me. Even though it was too late for me to block him, I proceeded to keep turning to the left and bumped him into the wall. He hit the wall and lost about 10-20 mph and couldn't get past me.

I'm not afraid to admit that I am responsible for an incident, and I'm not going to be a whiner, crying about how I would get a penalty and probation.

Guys the public banter on race incidents is dis heartening. If somebody makes a mistake, they should get their penalty privately through message and it shows up on the results table...ends there. 👍

And James, I'd like to think you raced clean but I didn't see you at all during the race, I was last for the 1st 2 laps tail-gunning the field, then later off the front. I wouldn't bet on full time racing each week but you SHOULD get in more races since numbers are low.

Well if for next season I get a offer I might ask to be part time for the oval races.

I had enough fuel to finish the race but the wreck screwed it all up. I went from conserving to full throttle at lap 7.5. But I was wrecked anyways on lap 8. The momentum lossed my chances of my fuel lasting me. After the wreck I did however collect with my teammates smuffy and james. We were pushing hard and making time up. I was also back in the window to make my fuel last again.

But then James ran out of fuel at the beginning of lap 9. And then I knew my fuel was not going to last. So I bump drafted behind smuffy to save the little extra % of fuel. Going through T3 on lap 9 the opposition was going into pit. Well at this time I knew smuffy had made a prior pit stop and could go flat out the rest of the race. Smuffy and I where in 6th & 7th at this time.

Well I decided that I should stay with smuffy and let him pass the two guys in the pit to lock-in 4th place. I felt that my extra push would help him secure his spot in front of the two drivers about to exit the pits. I did this and ran out of gas before T1 on lap 10. I don't know if the race ended with any incidents or if smuffy got caught by those two drivers? But I did see on the race results that smuffy finished in 4th so I felt somewhat happy. It was a good race with different strategies n tempos dispite being wrecked and eventually running out of gas.

And sorry to RPH for causing us to wreck in the Quali Race. I just wasn't thinking n I'm glad I did that then n not in the race.

So what did happen on lap 8 when we all got wrecked? It must have taken out positions 6 - 9 maybe iirc?

Round 8: DieHard 188

Official Results:

13th: RedPartyhat

Pole Position: Dragonwhisky (Won quali race)

Lap Leaders:

Grinols: 1
FraiserCrane: 2, 6
Crazy_Bassist_83: 3
Stormtrooper2178: 4
James6553: 5
Dragonwhisky: 7
neljack: 8-10

Most Laps Led: neljack (3)

Incidents:

Two reported incidents:

On lap 8, smuffyatfcp and Dragonwhisky touch in turn 1, triggering a multi-car pileup. Dragon, being pushed by OwensRacing and MULE_9242, had nowhere to go, but he did move up ever so slightly as smuffy was coming down. Really, just a typical SSRX racing incident. You can't put either of them at fault. No penalties

On lap 10, FraiserCrane attempts to make a pass on Stormtrooper2178 coming to the finish. Fraiser gets a run and makes his move on the outside. When he pulls to a 1/2 car length lead, Stormtrooper turns left, squeezing Fraiser into the wall, killing his momentum and retaking the position.

If Stormtrooper had made his move to the left before Fraiser had pulled along side, it would have been a legal block. But because Fraiser had already pulled ahead, the position is his. You absolutely cannot put someone into a wall to take a position; you cannot put someone into a wall intentionally under any circumstance. Stormtrooper thought he was making a legal block, and although there's nothing that says what exactly is legal or not (which I will address and clarify this week), it does clearly say "RACE CLEAN."

Decision: 3 point penalty for Stormtrooper2178 for "Causing an avoidable collision"

Notes: I think Furi gave James a 3 race probation, which I honored here. This is his 2nd race here, so he has one more race to go before it is lifted.

-MULE_9242 and RedPartyhat have both raced in their 3rd Nationwide race. They are no longer eligible to score Team Points.

^It was for Trucks only, Nationwide is Mule's decisions not mine, nothing to do with me.

Are you serious!? I thought it was said anything that happens carries on into Nationwide & Sprint?

Also congrats to neljack on his first NASCAR win

Yes, he has done good in the races. Its hard to win one with so many people up there. I figured I should encourage you guys to work with me in the future since 80% of our tracks involve drafting. Looking back it would have hurt to have Owens finish in front of me points wise.

Is there anybody other than me that may be effected by the recent hurricane? That might interfere with people as they may lose power or have connection problems.

My internet not super reliable, atm...hoping its just the PC & not the PS3 that cant get on all the time. I still have 1 more drop I think (dont know how that works) but if I do I'd prefer Daytona to Montegi.
