Race dates in the OP are updated.

Is there anyone other than Stormtrooper/possibly Gokartman who can't make it?

If Gokartman can't, I will race in the 99.

If I wake up in time. Setting alarm now.

For us who started the race last Saturday but cannot race today, will we get last place points to compensate? I'm at my relative's house right now and as mentioned I cannot race.

I would be a little more inclined to do that if there weren't already two drops in the season.

Besides, you're part-time, anyway.

Room open.

Will be afk for a bit while I have a shower.

Room screwed up when.I reset the track. Yay.

Am I still considered a rookie? I think I am I don't recall making 4 races last season.

Quite a letdown for me to find out the race has been going on for so long already, but hey, Nel's in 2nd place. ;)

Qualified 6th, finished 6th. Couldn't really argue for more.

Massive thanks, Mudd for the tune. I cranked up the aero to give me some tire life and it worked a treat.

For those who were concerned about my connection, here's the deal.

I've got two wireless networks in my house.

Simply, Virgin and o2. (10mb each)

Now, I've port forwarded my o2 towards GT5. However, my household is all connected to o2. That's the 3D TV, 5 laptops, 1 iPad and 3 iPhones. So, network capacity is high and I've told them not to stream videos during the race so its fine 90% of the time.

Now, I've port forwarded my Virgin towards COD (preset). This one however has no peripherals connected because its slightly slower than o2 in upload speed. Problem? I don't know how to port forward it towards GT5.

---

Next weekend, its just me home alone for the weekend so it will be perfect for the All-Star Race.

My connection is strong as proved in my S1 Nationwide ability (more or less) but it has its downside with the 3D TV eating it out.

Too close for comfort.... getting a good lap came down to luck. Entire top 5 under 50 seconds for quali.... Got swamped at the start. Need to hit the gas next time... Ended up T-boning on grinols after he clipped the grass and slid sideways. Somehow he and I both survived.

About to watch the F1 race. Hopefully will be good.

I know it's a little late but sorry for all the spinning out I did. 👎 I had lots of fun yesterday though. 👍 I believe this also means I have one race lft on probation. 👍 👍 The reason I spun so much was I didn't have lots of time to make a great setup so I threw something toghether.

Good setups don't stop you from spinning you know

In theory good setups leave you in the edge of spinning. Trying to make the cars as fast around the turn as possible means they will be on the edge most of the time.

You know what I mean Matty

I was waiting for someone to say this.

James, a setup won't make you fast. Practice will help you get fast. A setup can help build consistency in your speed and increase tire longevity, etc.

Don't think a setup is a cure, James because its not.

I'm just glad I found GTPlanet a year after I first started playing GT5 so I got rid of all my bad habits before I came.

I wouldn't say that, I usually go on the side of comfort, although others might get good times with edgy settings. Immortal pilot for example probably wouldn't be affected much by any settings. :sly: I think what somebody like James will need is a comfy car that's not loose or stepping out.

EDIT: I think Felix Baumgartner is making his jump soon. Red bull should send me a month's worth of red bull if I win the nationwide championship.
