Which tire compound do you want to use for the season?

I'll still host, but you can be the official backup host for if/when I sleep in again.

IE, if I don't have a room up by 12:15, open one.

That's because I finished 6th, right?
No. It just makes slightly more sense with only 15 cars as opposed to 16.

Just a small thing Mule, the table (looking cool btw), shows as Season 2. Unless I have been having weird dreams for the past year, it needs to be changed to S3.

👍

Damm, need to change my avatar

Fixed it. Thanks. :)

Alright raceday at Motegi. I am 50/50 to make this one, probably won't. Carb is in the #99 and Jammy in the Insignia #43.

This will mark the first ever occasion in my GTP NASCAR/Nascar career that I'm driving a Ford.

room up:

1472-6118-4130-9219-5437

will be afk for up to 20 minutes.

Great work Spurgy and Tom. Sorry about the DC at the beginning but glad it didn't matter.

Spa next ;)

4th is better than I thought I would do, after I accidentally screwed my teammate with the tranny settings.

That was fun. The tires definitely made it interesting.

Spa will probably take more than an hour, btw. I'll make a post outlining specific track boundaries as well.

Yea I was topping out the first few laps with the whole pack n slowly lost you all. I stayed out the longest n got down to 2nd place n was about to take first with passing RPH in the pits but the pack came out of turn 4 n overtook me with ease, so I never got to first place. After struggling once again to stay with the lead pack after a couple more laps, I went in to pit. I came out n was able to get past gokartman to hold 10th place for awhile.

Carbonox caught up to me while he was in 8th n we were able to work together, finally my car was somewhat up to speed. He helped me fill any gaps I needed for about 15 laps. Then Niop caught up to us. Him n Carbonox were fighting for the same position so I got behind them n held on, car was on pace now but still topping off a lot. I would occassionally lose them a little n then get back on them. I had a good run once so I decided to overtake carbonox as he was loosing speed. That's when I started to work with Niop again n my times were really fast. Carbonox caught back up to us with a good run. So I kept pushing niop with fast lap times n closing the door on the lead pack who was slowing down.

Once I seen the lead pack was in reach, I gave it all I had n took myself to the wall. This definitly helped niop n carbonox as they were now at the tail of lead pack. My only regret was that I did not know gokartman had been behind carbonox since he had caught niop n myself. So once I was in the wall gokartman had slipped past me, taking 10th. And with only about 5 laps to go. My failure had put him 4 seconds ahead of me. That's when I had no chance.

So a bad start for me with a topping off transmission. Then almost had first place for a lap after everyone pitted. Then after my pit stop, my goal was to stay in top ten. But I pushed too hard for the benefit of others n put myself in the wall in return. I had hoped that when they caught the tail end of the lead pack, I would be there n have a chance to improve my position from tenth place to maybe a couple more spots up on the board.

So like I said, a bad start but not a poor race in the end. I have poor experience with this track. But the setup Mule gave me was the best I have had here so far. I just need to adjust the tranny. So next race here I think I will have no problem holding a top 5 - top 10 position. Now I'm looking forward to the next race at Motegi.

Btw, I won't be here for Spa. But I will be back the following week, assuming its an oval track, not familiar with the schedule yet. But hopefully the next oval is at Indy, where I can have another good finish like last week at Daytona.

Good luck next week fellas! See you guys soon. And I also have to say that the quality of racing in this series is vastly improving! Good job again! And congratulations to Spurgy on the win. And thanks Mule for giving me hope at Motegi with your tune (minus the tranny ;) ), not being sarcastic either. See ya guys in a couple weeks. And good luck next week.

Well, I know if it's wet I'll give him a run for his money ;). Well only if I have the car that is about 3 seconds a lap faster in the rain :P

Mule, while you're sorting out the regs for Spa. Just wondering if we really need a full pace lap. It's long, and longer than Monza. It would take well over two minutes I reckon.

Maybe put some options to a team leader vote before you finalise the regs?

Maybe have

a) full pace lap
b) specific starting point
c) standing start

Just putting it out there mate, but your decision if you want to use that or not. 👍

For Spa why not just pace for turn 1 at La Source, and have green flag on the sportscar straight into Eau Rouge?

It's not that long of a track... I'd understand if we were doing Le mans...

That's not really the point, rolling starts on road courses are just asking for wrecks at T1, and there's no point in doing a pace lap to have a standing start because we can do that straight away.

I think going green after T1 at the sportscar start line is the best idea, we get to do a rolling start + since we're not at full speed, everybody should easily be able to negotiate Eau Rouge.

I was planning on starting after turn 1 (proper rolling start line) from the beginning. I donno about a pace lap or not.

No standing starts.

Full pace lap is kinda unnecessary, as long as everyone doesn't speed off from the grid we should easily get sorted into our qualifying positions before halfway down the back straight.
