40 laps eh Crazy? I still believe that we can get at least 50 with some aero adjustments at Ford, as shown by the tyre wear I got today (35 laps manageable for me despite the incident with dowhat). I don't think I remembered to actually tell Tom about running his aero at 20 45, but his car seemed stable enough with whatever settings he had on it. Furi chose not to run the +5 at the rear and his car was a little bit loose due to that.

More testing is needed to determine if we can manage 50 laps comfortably and if it is worth it.

Who was it that AC was bumping with at the very end?

EDIT: I ran minimum aero today, no issues. We'll test Friday night Joe after your truck race, Monday-Thursday is not great for me 👍

 I actually enjoyed battling/drafting with AC/DC today, as apposed to last season when it just ticked me off watching him fly past us while he was glued to Niop's bumper. :D I'm sure Niop and AC with work together when given a chance, but I know I'm not the only one that's relieved with having our two fastest drivers on separate teams this time!

Yea was fun driving with ACDC, Tom and Mule too. It was the first time I was working with them on track. Now I feel fine driving with them. RedPartyHat too, him and I stayed out in the NW exhibition race last week too. And of course like every Daytona race there was incidents and me and droptop hooked up at the end. Now the only guys I have not worked with are Joe, Niop and Dexter. I don't see me and Niop hooking up anytime soon. I drove alongside Dexter but he scared me more than anything with his little bit of swerving. I'm not calling him out. I don't know if Joe would even want to work with me either.

But my point is the more opportunities like this you have on track in-race, the better the vibe of the race will go. And I know we all know this but maybe we should start making it happen. We are all in this league because we are good and got recommended by another good driver. So maybe its time to put the egos aside and have some fun. And get some track-time with the guys you are about to spend the next 17+ weeks racing with. It would help loosen this group up.

I for myself in all, have no regrets or hostility towards anyone in here inside of me. If I met ACDC or Niop IRL, I would shake their hands, offer them a beer and bs with them. And that attitude is what we need more of here in this thread.

I'd work with pretty much anyone, I've just not been in a position on the track where I can work with you/need to work with you.

Agree with you Crazy man 👍 It was great driving with you guys today in both races, especially Mule who pushed me for quite a few laps; can't remember which race that was in though, they've just merged into one long 425 mile blur of Daytona racing

Also had some quality time bumping with my team mate, probably around an hour over the course of the night which has made me even more confident in the team. Not had any time driving with Furi but we're bound to hook up at some point during the 500.

what! weird i will have to look at that

What! Crazy_bassist...son let me tell you something, you aint no pro from what i seen. games clitchy, makes no sence.....swirvey......wait till i swirvey into you bud

You were quite twitchy to be fair man, you almost wrecked me but I saved it at the expense of losing the draft. Joe then pushed me through the wreck all the way to 2nd.

My apologies again guys. I should have been more aware of the damage to my car and the guys closing up on me. I'll do better next time to make sure to keep my car out of the way when damaged. Sorry if I ruined your race, it was not intentional at all, I assure you.

and the only reason why you got second was becasue i wrecked swirney redpartyhats junker into the wall, so you took him and got second

You're probably right, but what difference does it make, you've gotta take your chances. Anyway that's pretty irrelevant to the point I was making which was you were a bit unpredictable in the pack as you were slightly swervy/twitchy; I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just pointing it out man.

Did he really say what you quoted in that post? Or did you just make that up ?

If I can make up positions on the track by working with someone, then I will do it. I'm not going to let any prior incident cause me to not work with someone.

You and I are going to have a little discussion about this.

As for the race itself, it was pretty standard fare as far as Daytona usually goes. Early accident separates the field, slam drafting begins, and you're pretty much at the mercy of who is around you. I realize this was just an exhibition, but we as a group HAVE to be more careful on the opening laps of these races at Daytona. Daytona is like a narrow two-lane highway, and with how twitchy the cars get over the bumps, it is so easy to have a multicar accident in the early laps when everyone is trying to settle in. I really don't want to see the Daytona 500 devolve into a mess of 4 or 5 little groups all trying to catch each other to no avail.

My race was effectively over early in the going, as I was caught up in the Dowhat incident. It was really just a racing incident that could be attributed to lack of on-track space. At any rate, I'm learning that qualifying is of prime importance as of late at Daytona, as my last few races there have been marred by early accidents that I got caught up in as a result of a low starting spot.

We as a team at JGR had a great run tonight, and ACDC had an awesome run en route to the win. However, I think we have some room to improve in terms of setups.

Mule I don't understand why u wouldn't give me the inside when I was entering the track. I had damage and slammed u into the wall. We could have hooked up but instead u take me out on purpose we had stall and Joe in front of us. I never care about about an accident but then u spin me on purpose. It's total BS and you'll feel the pain during the season. The accident with Joe I was not at fault at all I held mine line but **** happens it's a video game.

Things are being handled properly. I know when you left Mule said it was like you slammed him. And now you are saying its the other way around. But what we do know is that you had damage and damage seems to equal lag. So in conclusion I'm pretty sure you both seen something different on your screens. I wouldn't believe either of you would intentionally wreck one another. Neither of you are inexperienced or typically hot headed. And there's no need to promtote wrecking. Its one thing when I post something along those lines as a joke or a scare. But we are treading on water here as a group so let's keep the threats to a minmum. And mule isn't the enemy. He drives quite well. And went a lap down to help his teammate out like you have done for me countless times. So let's just keep doing what we do. And bring the pain in some kind of form of a victory for HMS!

Sorry for the double post but I've been racing with u guys for 1 season and gave EVERY DRIVER RESPECT. Watch every race last season I have never caused an accident at any oval because I know how to keep my cool but this season be aware I will not brake to allow someone to drop back in. I feel I worked my way into this position by myself. I know what I can do and a few other drivers in this league do to. I still can't believe u spun me instead of working with me. What I did was wrong but I was trying to get back into the draft after I was spun by Joe by accident. All I have to say is show some respect to the others drivers on track . That was the dirtiest move I have ever seen in any race. Have fun driving by yourself.

**** no. No pm's I don't care let it out in public no points were involved and what u did was dirtier than what I did. I have and will NEVER wreck any driver in this league. I've been VERY patience in league and willing to help every driver. I was wrecked in every DAYTONA race last year and never complained about it once but to wreck someone when you are already in last place just shows the real person that you really are. This is honestly the first time I have EVER been wrecked on GT5 on purpose. GOOD LUCK NEXT WEEK..

K. Suit yourself.

I tried to settle it civilly, I apologized, explained why I did it, and that I wouldn't have done it if it was a points race, and you want to react like that? Be my guest.

You turned right into me, I turned right into you. I got the worst of it on both occasions. You ragequit, I finished last, I apologized. As far as I'm concerned it's even, and I'm done, unless Ryan wants to chime in.

Few points...

@ Tom, I won't be doing the 500 but will be in Race 2 at Indy.

I hold my had up for being partially responsible for the first big turn 3 wreck. I got a run down the backstretch, went around Dexter, he probably should have stayed a bit lower, I should have stayed a bit higher, and I tagged him.

However felt very comfortable after a nervy couple laps and will be back for Indy with a secret weapon :sly: Good luck to RPM/Ford in the 500 and indeed everyone 👍

...and the first nominee for 'The Sprints' rivalry award is... :P

Well I reviewed my saved replay. And dowhat got tapped by Joe and mudd simultaneously as he was driving middle line and they were right behind him at 4 & 7. Accident happend. Dowhat had left side damage and engine damage. Mule caught this accident and had front damage and engine damage. When dohat made it back on track his damage turned off and coincidentally so did mules damage at the same time. That's when dowhat accidentally sideswiped mule on the inside of track up to the wall. You both got f'd there. In rage into turn 1 mule purposely did the pit manuever on dowhat. Now in checkers or wreckers I proved I'm not good at wrecking someone and you all thought I was dirty. Now watch your replay. And watch lap 2 & 3. Watch mule, you will see him rage on dowhat. And this is when dowhat rage quits. Now I tried to mediate and give everyone the benefit of the doubt. But when I see mule rage pit someone, that's crap. And ill now deny any good word people put in about him. What he did was worse than anything that I have been held accountable for. Shame on you mule, I thought you were better than that. But as your name suggests, I guess you are a jack as$! And to quote dowhat, good luck buddy. We here at HMS also know how to play that game.

And I guess I can see where mule thought dowhat dive bombed him but dowhat was entering the track on the inside and mule didn't give him room. And they both had damage and both their damages turned off at the same time, about a half second before the dive bomb. Which is really the end of the incident dowhat faced in turn 2. What I don't like is how mule, charged back to dowhat and literally got in his inside and turned hard right into him putting him into the wall. Like I said I , myself couldn't even do something so blatant and dirty in checkers or wreckers. Or anything I would rage on in lap 2 & 3. So this is BS!! Watch it, ill post this **** if I have too. Mule is in red bull racing. I guess as tradition goes in our series its HMS vs RBR! Just a karma that won't end here I guess. But seeing that really not want to race with mule. Now I could handle it if I got pitted as I might deserve a few bumps here n there. And I would bitch about it and it would be done. But as dowhat suggests he has always been taken out at daytona. But never had this happen. This is a real disappointment from a team owner. And does need to be warned about this attitude and malicious activity before the series starts.

Yes sir I did. Ik just woke up and checked the thread and seen dowhat left another post. So I had to watch the replay asap so I could determine if dowhat was just talking **** bc he drank after he quit or if mule was dirty. And based on what I seen clear as day mule did what no one should ever do. As soon as my mind clears, ill hit you back furi. Going to eat and think happy thoughts here for a minute. And to further divulge. HMS will not wreck anyone intentionally. But if mule gets in between a HMS car, we will pull around him and he can be left to dry out on his own. And when this happens and he is in that position trailing HMS cars. If there's an incident, we have this evidence of prior malicious activity. And then ill make sure he's held accountable. Meaning if mule f's with anyone on my team again in the future, I will take the dirty actions into my own hands. As dowhat is clean and doesn't deserve this on him. I for one can handle the hostility and animosity. I don't want anyone else on my team to feel that other than me. So mule if you still have the wooboosas to race us. You will need to deal with me if I see anything that violent again. To my team or anyone elses. Now I can talk **** bc I. Have been involved in two incidents last series that were looked down on. But in my defense, first race I just kept being an ahole and getting between HMS cars, no real foul done. Last incident, I pulled hard left and niop n acdc collected into me but in my defense I thought they weren't 10 feet behind me. Now the difference with your incident is, you charged at dowhat and pitt him and rammed him dorectly into the wall with full intentions. So to those reading this, you can't even compare my dirty to this dirty. And if we need to put this video public. Ill be on that with no delay (well tomorrow once I have a pc in front of me).

Crazy... take a breath and just note. Mess with Ford and you mess with me :sly:

Crazy, man, you really dint to yourself any favours do you mate. People defend you then you carry on raging publicly.

Quite fed up if it now tbh. Whether it's right or wrong, saying it on here just causes bad feelings.
