Ok I'll start late

Although the next two sundays, we are holding pre season testing which will basically be identical to the way the whole series will be run but in the pre-season testing I will be looking to see if any cars fly into the distance and if there are any regulation settings which prevent this however I know already that some drivers are better than others on different surfaces (me and imfaster excel on gravel) sso maybe the regulations won't be required since while I am fast on gravel, I am certain that MU is faster, just lacking a set up and Jamman should definately be fast with the set up so it is just a matter of surface as to how fast everyone is so maybe no regulations will be needed.

The pre season tracks will be announced on the day

I'll take the Ford Focus '07 because I golded the Toscana Time trial by a long way.:D

Spreadsheet changes to be made:

mu675:BP FOrd Abu Dhabi (Scuderia Coloni)

Isn't it aginst the AUP to kill a GTPlanet member?:P

Edit: Nope, just checked
It may be anti-swearing but they don't give a 🤬 about murder.

Oh, and does our rallycross race count towards the triple crown?

I'm guessing you mean Monaco. As much as I'd love that, the criteria says it has to be F1's or FGT's in the race :)

Acceptable Use Policy
You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack any individual or any group.

Oh well.

I know I haven't been on Gran Turismo much recently so when I get home from work at 12:30 BST (I'm leaving in ten minutes) I will host a practice lobby. Unlike the normal practice lobbies, I will run half hour races at selected rallycross tracks including Monaco, Eiger W and Toscana. This testing will be used to create the base regulations ahead of this sunday's pre-season at Monte Carlo. I hope to see you there. Both today and the pre-season.
PLEASE SEND ME FRIEND REQUESTS OVER PSN SOON

What he said.

=(

The spreadsheet is now up-to-date. It all works except the teams standings which I can't find a formula to stop the points getting messed up for each team. ooooh I have an idea. I will report back soon

Also, I have put akmuq and xX_F Alonso_Xx in the same team since they use the same car

So far, the spreadsheet changes are FAILING

Here is a youtube video of some rally drivers failing on what must surely be the worlds most difficult corner... or the worlds worst pace notes

They aren't allowed pace notes in that championship but yeah that's just a really hard corner. And also the world's best spectator point. But one word, said over and over again sums up the whole video...if you watch the whole video you'll know what I'm talking about. :D Oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi

But on topic, I tried the Stratos online today on gravel and tarmac and MY GOD is it a handful on the dirt. It's powerful, but also lightweight and MR!!! Not a good combo for offroad. It's relatively driveable, but you have to be delicate with the car and that's not my kind of driving style :grumpy: But on the road it is very quick. It can get through corners very well, even if you're sliding the car. I just need to find a way to save the tyres because I always smoke them within a couple of laps because I'm sliding so much. SRF would help very much in that regard but I doubt it will be allowed at all throughout this rallycross championship :(

Ai ai ai ai, it is is a hard corner.

BACK TO THE RALLYCROSS

How fast are you lapping at Monaco? That is your tarmac test.
How fast are you alpping at Eiger Trail W? That is your gravel test.
I haven't really tested on snow.

Will try to do some laps either late tomorrow night or Saturday in RS2000 around Monaco to see what the times are. Have a feeling that the group b cars will probably need to be reduced in bhp to match current WRC cars as I think the tuned C4 is about 438bhp while RS2000 tuned is about 480-490bhp.

I did try 4 laps around top gear track in the Impreza WRC and RS2000 both on racing softs with high rpm turbos and light suspension tuning and gearing set to 155mph on both and Impreza was about 3 seconds slower per lap.

When I get a chance to do some laps around Monaco which can be compared with mu675s 1:32/33s in the Focus should give a better idea of what performance difference is between the two classes.

What was the gearing and bhp for those runs mu675 will also try some runs with RS2000 set to similar levels.

Please show at the pre season this sunday. It wil be an open lobby so I willl post the room number here. Please add me. This event will be at Eiger Trail W. The lobby will open at 5pm BST / 12pm EST. The race will begin an hour after the lobby opens. As default for the series, there will be two heats of 3o minutes. The lap counter will be 28

I've tested on each individual track (apart from the Mt Aso obviously :dunce: ). I'm assuming the Toscana one is indeed the gravel one since the only other gravel track is Eiger Nordwand...here they are.

Chamonix West: 2:26
Autumn Ring Mini: 0:43
Eiger Nordwand W Trail: 1:17
Toscana: 2:10
Cote d'Azur: 1:51
Chamonix Mini: 0:46

Keep in mind my Stratos is not modified, it's completely stock. The settings I used for snow tracks was TCS: 5, SRF On, Active Steering Mild, ASM on, ABS 1 and Steering 0. Tarmac was the same except Active Steering was set to off. For Eiger I had all aids off except SRF and ABS 1. Steering was the same. Toscana was the same as the tarmac tracks.

With the modern rally cars as stock I've got 20 seconds faster then the Stratos on both Cote D'Azure and Toscana in WRS events.

Based on your times I think you should change your car. You may enjoy driving it but those times at Cote D'Azur and Eiger W are so much slower... I mean at Eiger, I would be lappng you on lap 5 of a 29 lap race. Because I know for certain that me and imfast will be have a blood bath battling it out for the win at Eiger and it is impossible to pass on this track (effectively) so lapping you at the start of every 5th lap would bring potential for a massive crash. At Monaco it is similar in terms of massively slower but the difference is that you can pass but only in some places. Chamonix is hard to pass at too. I would prefer you to use a faster car so that it makes you competitive and keep the front runners without having to lap many cars to improve safety on narrow tracks

I am going to create a spreadsheet to record any testing results you do. It will have an alert system which flags any lap times that are dangerously slow so push to the limit.

The series regulations on BHP will be 483 BHP

I really can't pick anything else though, I'm trying to keep my rally cars at 0 miles for a project I'm doing in the autumn, not including the Stratos as it is untradeable. Obviously it's not anywhere near as fast as I thought, and it is especially difficult to drive offroad. Take me out of this series then, I'm obviously going to be too slow.

That is the link to the testing spreadsheet. PLease follow the season regulations of 483 BHP limit. No more.
GREEN REPRESENTS A FAST TIME
BLUE REPRESENTS A GOOD/ACCEPTABLE TIME
YELLOW REPRESENTS A SLOW TIME

Anyone who has not posted a lap in at least the blue (be fair and honest) by the start of the race will not be allowed to race. This rule only applies at the following tracks:
-Eiger Trail W
-Chamonix Mini

These tracks carry this rule as they are tight and short off road courses where persistant lapping will disrupt battles further up the field.

I have updated the OP to include rules regarding the regulations, assists and being lapped.

In about 30 minutes I will be hosting some testing on almost all of the seasons tracks so I can find out what a slow, acceptable and fast lap time is so the data can be entered into the testing spreadsheet

Good running tonight guys, you can put me down as switching from the Ford to a C4 golfer and I will update the sheet with my times tomorrow.

Golfer can I sign up please. Can I have the 03 Impreza.
Also should the 92 delta not be on the car list?

The '92 is on the car list. And certainly I will allow you to join in an '03 Impreza (what did I say Kirk?), my talkative, crash prone, Ken Block imitating Irish friend

Can we drive backwards to sabotage other peoples races tomorrow?
