entries ares still open. Come on guys, I haven't received any PSN friend requests and nothing posted here saying you won't be showing so where are you? Oh, and the pre season will be running this sunday. Do your best to show. If it goes well and is interesting then the series will run starting from the following weekend.

UPDATED DRIVER LIST

Right I'll be in the lounge at 6:30. At 6pm I have stuff to do but I will definitely be there for the race. Qualifying doesn't matter too much anyway in this kind of race.

hang on. I said we were having qualifiying? Major lapse of judgement for me there. Thinking about this race, it won't just be a race about driving economically. It will be about having a car where you don't end up bored out of your brains come the end of it

COME ON PEOPLE! If I don't receive friend requests soon then you won't be able to join the race which will be in a private lounge so we don't get outsiders of the series coming in and pitting

ooops i thought it was 7pm eastern time. its 7pm GMt. Can someone just tell me how many hours till the race

Woo I won. In the words of Sebastian Vettel:

Me: WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO YES!

Christian Horner: Well done brilliant drive, well done

Me: Great job guys. We keep on working, we are who we are. Ringa Ding Ding Ding Da!!! :D

Next I will get my 200hp chrome camper van. That'll show them... they see me hatin'... :D

Guys, I have decided on how this series is going to be more interesting. Throughout the course of the season, which will be about 8 races, you will receive 3 joker wild cards. What these joker cards allow you to do is have ONE pit stop during the race. You decide if you will play your joker card before the race. You then have used it and may or may not pit. You can use as many joker cards in each race as you wish. For example if there is a really tough race on tires then you can use all 3 joker wild cards in the one race. But you decide before hand if you will use them and then you may choose to pit or not.

EDIT: COMPLETELY REBRANDED THE SERIES!!

Great race tonight really enjoyed it even if I did spend last half of it struggling to keep in a straight line above 60mph.

Cant wait until next weeks race. Can I change my car for the proper series races to something that isn't rear wheel drive. Think I would be better taking an Imperza or something similar which will under-steer more when tires are gone instead even if its lap times are slower.

Great idea with the wildcard pitstops they should make races more interesting especially around the longer tracks like nurburgring.

you can change your car until the first race. At the moment I don't have time to create a google spreadsheet so I will just run it as a race for fun series. Also, the number of laps for London has been announced.

Sorry, but I won't be able to join the series after all, I'm not able to keep going in hour-long races. Max 40 minutes. Sorry, but I've become increasingly busy.

To be honest, I'm not too happy about the change, particularly the joker cards, but it's not my event, so let's see what is going to happen...

Question about the test race and out of curiosity: What was your fuel usage during Autum Ring? I used slightly less than half a tank in the 120d (about 55% left). From the comments during the race I got the understanding that it was similar for most of the participants. Can you confirm?

Might have to think about a different car, especially if fuel economy doesn't really depend on the engine...

71 laps should be interesting for the tires considering I could barely make them last about 26 laps in the Elise. :scared:

Think i am going to have to spend my time learning how to better manage my tires and not push them so hard in early stages of the race. Will probably use the Cusco Impreza for next race and hoop that with 4WD, shift some of the brake balance to rear and not pushing some much earlier on that the fronts will last longer than the rears did on the Elise.

Hopefully tirewear shouldn't be as high at London due to less medium speed corners than Autumn ring had.

I had about 60% fuel left at the end of the race but at that point I was a few laps down on everyone else so consumption was probably identical to the other cars used.

I was proably a bit better off. I was 5 laps down but I had about 70% left so I think the Hybrid technology helps alot. Ok, not at all. I think the best cars to use will be cars that wear down front and rears at equal rates. That way grip is equal duirng the whole race. The Elise lost all rear grip and just span. I lost all front grip so the front won't turn in unless I'm super agressive (thats why I lost 30 seconds a lap) and then the rear end still had the grip of cold tires so was happy to go in a straight line.

I may have to ban the Caterham is it continues its dominance. By the way, who enjoyed the red flag?

That's what saved me in the 120d. Front tyres were down to 1/4, rear to 1/3, I'd say. Grip not too bad, started with 1:27 lap times, finished with 1:32.

It was quite dominant, that's true. I'm a bit worried everyone will have a Caterham next time... ;-)

btw, I was surprised by the DN-X Concept - I would not have thought it could be so fast and tyre-saving for a car of that size. But maybe it was just Blaze_409 driving extremely well...

By the way, who enjoyed the red flag?

Well, enjoyed might be too much, but it didn't interfere too much. And I caught up, which is always good...
The start/pace lap was fun though! :-)
