We've had so many early casualties this year, it's getting ridiculous. I swear it took until the 19th of November for last year's first victim and there's been seven Whammings in two days this year.
Last year it took 20 days to get to 8 pages of posts and it's taken two days so far.

@Jordan should let me post an article on the front page. :P

Even better, how about we make a weekly highlight of what's going in the forums, with notable threads, users and resources, along with a quick mention of real life events of our interest (this is more of a car forum, so motorsport will do?).

Wait a minute...

Sadly, this has sparked a want to listen to George Micheal, and very strangely, David Bowie....

A pro-tip for more serious players:

You can install browser extensions which let you block URLs, then add the "Wham!" YouTube URL to your blacklist. It will even protect you against masked/hidden URLs that just redirect you there, forcing any would-be attackers to be more sophisticated...
The "Wham!" YouTube URL is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8gmARGvPlI.

See? I'm a nice guy.

Does it protect you from the song being embedded in a webpage set to autoplay?

Really hoping those were Wham! links

Yes, yes, shower us in your kindness...

only to deceive us in the end. I still have my eye on you, Lord Jordan.

But that would be too easy.

That ruins most of fun of trying to Wham people :(.

Jordan is merely trying to give us the illusion of safety with those extensions, so that we'll be that much less suspecting when he tries to wham us all.

If I'm not mistaken, I was the first one to get knocked out last year--so naturally I have to come back to redeem myself.

Yep. If you sign up before December 1st, you'll be added to the list of 'original participants' which essentially means that you'll be in the competition for a month.

Also - what's a better image for the first post? This:

Or this?

"Heeeere's Georgie!"

Yeah, the "Heeere's Georgie" isn't as properly themed as the top image. It'd work if GTP vs Wham started at 1st October.

Famous last words. :P
Honestly though, this seems to be a bit easier than last years from what I read:

This pretty much means no one except Jordan can Wham Us.

Also the song is never really played in certain areas. I think especially in places like Australia.

Also the Wii U Web Browser never allows for any videos outside of Youtube Videos to play, even still you actually have to click on the Video Box to play it.

Unless Jordan comes with an amazing Wham! bomb again, I'm very confident with coming out alive.

Ok cool. Couldn't find anything in the OP about how to sign up, so I guess im just going to ask.

Also, the first one is the best.

How about you look down a few posts beneath the OP.

Real straightforward, if you ask me.

SUGGESTION:

If we can put the useful posts underneath the Whammed User Log (same post, unfortunately), like Jordan's foreshadowing to more sinister things. I'm also thinking of a "list of members that have already claimed a victim", but that sounds like too much, really.

He's only told us how to prevent the most common form of Wham. Unfortunately, what would stop me from say, posting a lyrics video? Or some other devious scheme..

In the style of a TV show called MXC.... remember, DON'T GET WHAMMED!

I also think when the competition ends there should be a recap of the most painful WHAM! moments but that's just me.

Just remembered how active I was last year at discreetly heckling someone who had an.. interest at getting a coffee machine.

This year, I might need an incentive to do so to about 4 others to be that active.
