We have a theory why our private lounge isn't accepting 16 drivers -- GT5 is reserving one spot for the "owner" which in our case never races. I'm hoping to test that out at some point when we have 16 drivers ready to volunteer to test, but given it's the day of the race and it's just a test race we're just going to try the public lobby option today and attempt to service a full grid of 16 drivers.
Wow, *Will*, those interactive maps are pretty cool! I think you've just set a new standard for WRS/3D3 stewards to follow
In the main lobby running some laps.
Qualifying Race Procedure
- A race steward will set up the lounge to the proper regulations for the car.
- The driver will enter the course to verify regulations have been satisfied.
- The race timer will be started.
- The qualifying steward and any other observers will monitor the race live to validate the run and save a replay in case of any protest.
- The qualifying races will consist of 3 laps: 1 un-timed out-lap + 1 timed hot-lap + 1 un-timed in-lap.
- After finishing the hot lap the driver should slow, park and stay on track.
- Lap time and any infractions will be noted and announced by the steward.
- When the driver and steward are in agreement on the recorded net lap time the driver can exit the track.
- Replays should always be saved by the observing steward. There are many areas to cut and gain time on this track and camera angles are not always good so all qualification runs will be preliminary pending a full replay review.
Talk about crazy... Last night as I said above I got the jag on my first try with the 67 ticket. Tonight I sent the 3d3 lounge a new 67 ticket and guess what?... Got the Ferrari on the first try? What are the odds of that? Anyone know the math? 2 tickets, 2 target cars, 10 possible car models per ticket. Order of receiving each car doesn't matter.

snowgtWell, actually the Jag comes on a 66 ticket, like you wrote in your previous post, which only has 5 cars to choose from.
So it comes down to 0.2 for the Jag (1 in 5) and 0.1 for the Ferrari (1 in 10). That makes 0.02 or a 2% chance you hit them both first time (no matter in what order). Or 1 in 50. Or ... not enough to play the lottery just yet.
I have the intention of qualifying on Sunday 2nd of September somewhere between 13:00 and 16:00 GMT. Is there a steward available at that time to overlook my run?
You have no idea how tempted I am to join this. But I'll still need to join WRS before I can do anything.
WRP001Run the qualifier already! Weren't you thinking about doing it last fall? It only takes a few hours (driving and playing a game!) and you can then join us whenever it tickles your fancy.
Go tell your buddy Dragon too.
PS> I remember last time you, Dragon and I ran together at La Sarthe it turned out to be a pretty good race... at least until you ran out of fuel.
