Signed up for the test session, looks like I've got some work to do looking at the practice laps, only managed a 4'04 so far in the Ferrari (pre break-in) Bob broke it for me last night and he's running the Jag now so I'll get on it in a couple of hour :) suppose I'll give the Mark IV another chance now I've set Priano's tune on them all.

Would I be right in thinking I should lower the top speed slightly, considering Priano tuned them with turbos installed? the Ferrari felt to be struggling at top end.

Oh, but then again I've only used DS3 so far.

In a few hours I will be starting my practise/test sessions with these awsome classic cars....so maybe we could use the main lounge to practise togheter....

Yeah why not, Bob's on 15/172 at Suzuka so when he's finished I'll jump in :)

Lights are automatic, so are wipers but we don't need wipers for this event.

Cool, just had a vision of me not having it mapped when it got dark

In the 3D3 Main lounge, for some practise in all 3 cars. Feel free to join....

Edit : Having some connection problems, Mich and John are still in the room....
I' ll be back later. Think I need to break in those cars first...

Cheers Mich, I'll give this a try next time, struggling with the Ford at the moment.

Back in the Main 3D3 Lounge for some more fun and practise. Cars almost fully broken' in by now. See if I am able now to set a time under 4min :dopey:

Feel free to join, we maybe could do a small race...

Staying on reserve for tomorrow, there is a chance I could make it for 1 of the races.

I've got all 3 cars now as I've just finished the Indy 500.

I should be able to make it for the tests tomorrow, but my cars aren't even broken in yet.

Just throw them in the b-spec 500 and quit after 80 laps. Just make sure to quit the race while the car is on track because if you exit during a pit stop it doesn't give you credit for the miles. :boggled:

You can break in two cars for tomorrow's test races in 2 hours without touching the wheel.

I can get those done right now then.

I've nearly got the Ferrari broken in on my own and it's within 30 miles of full break in just from driving in at Le Sarthe in practice mode.

Edit: Looks like I'll have all 3 broken in and fully setup. Ferrari is done, the Ford is going right now and when that hits 75-80 laps, I'll get the Jag done before I get some rest.

The first race is iffy, but should be in line for Race 2.

Should I change my status to Maybe?

Anyone putting chassis reinforcement on the ford or ferrari?
If you look back, Twissy has it installed. I have tried it on the Jag and Mark4, I liked it on the Jag but was indifferent on the Ford. I'll try the P4 later :)

Can someone of the admins sort this out :

I am speaking in behalf of my friend GTP_Straffestef, he asked me to as his english is not to good...

Yesterday he tried te register to the enduro but for some reason, it is not working. I have tried to register him with his gtp name, just to be sure he did everything right but my effort did not work either.

Probably a small thing that needs to be fixed :)

When everything works out I am proud to see 4 Belgian flags in the tables.

Did he fill out the driver registration form (not just event registration)? One of the admins needs to add him to the db and friends list which is manual. After that registration is automatic in future.

I can take care of that shortly.

Frank, has he done this?
The following must be performed only one time per driver (not per event):
  • Send a PSN friend request to GTP_3D3Racing, GTP_3D3_A and GTP_3D3_B with subject line "3D3 Racing" from your GTP_tag ID.
  • Submit the 3D3 Racing Online Driver Database Entry Form. Your information will need to be verified before you are added to the db and before your ID will appear in the registered driver table above. You can view the official driver database here.

Thanks for posting the link Pilmat as I'm on my phone. 👍

And I checked and that step has not been completed yet. As soon as it is I will add him to the db.

Correct, that would be the problem, I inform him as soon as possible, and explain him what he has to do, to be honest, also my bad as I had forgotten about that part :)

Thanks for the fast explenation 👍

Thanks everyone for the help, I have submitted the driver database form, I will add the 3 FR requests as soon as I get home.

I am planning on racing tonight.

Thanks again guys 👍

Special Notice: The test races today will take place in a public lobby

I'm not sure who is going to show up for each of the two test races today as we have a 20:00 race and a 21:00 race and we have 14 confirmed so we are only going to run one mic-disabled room for the test races today. We may reach 16 drivers however, which would be very nice at this large track, and we've been having problems getting 16 drivers in the lounge. Our private lounge always seems to deny the 16th entrant while other series seem to have no problem in public lounges. So just for today we're going to try something different.

I'm going to open a public lobby (mic-disabled) and post the room # in this thread about 60 minutes prior to the race.

You can also follow me (or any of your other friends already in the lounge) via my lounge teacup (or rather click the little yellow dot next to it). Or just type the public room # directly to specify the public lounge.

The confirmed drivers have priority in the lounge (there are 14 currently) and reserves can take spots on a first come first serve basis. If the number of confirmed drivers exceeds 16 the first 16 to confirm will have priority (all entries are time stamped). Confirmed drivers will lose their spot if they are not in the lounge at the 20:00 GMT.

PS. We have a theory why our private lounge isn't accepting 16 drivers -- GT5 is reserving one spot for the "owner" which in our case never races. I'm hoping to test that out at some point when we have 16 drivers ready to volunteer to test, but given it's the day of the race and it's just a test race we're just going to try the public lobby option today and attempt to service a full grid of 16 drivers.

Not sure if I'll be able to race.

The weather here is pretty wicked and has been since early this morning.

Why not use one of the racers lounges?

Can I use A or B at all tonight for some practice? Don't mind jumping in my own lounge if not.

Absolutely 👍. Practice for this can be done in the main lounge, if your wanting to practice for wednesdays race I think B is the Mics enabled lounge.

The public lobby is now open (see # below). Initial time was set to 3:00 PM at the real time of 19:15 AM GMT with a progression of 24 meaning every hour cycles a full day.

The first race starts at roughly 20:00 meaning it should be high noon on the track and it should cycle to midnight over the 30 minute race. It should be high noon again at 21:00 for the start of the 2nd race.

Let's hope I did my figuring right as I'm hoping not to reset the lounge. I'm assuming when starting a race it just continues with whatever time was last in the free run, but if not we'll just play it by ear.

Room #1472-6118-3830-2748-1243

PS> If you come in the room about 30 minutes or so before the race or earlier take a quick peak in the main lounge and if anyone is in there send them to this public lobby. Thanks.

I'm on my way now. Weather has calmed down finally. Will probably try out all 3 in pre-race practice before deciding which one I want to go with for the first race.

It's easier to use a public lounge than a user's lounge as that user would have to have everyone added to their list so they can enter that lounge.

Ok, can public lobbies be password enabled? Just thinking of randoms that might jump in.
