GTP WRS-Online : Special X - (Al)berto's Monza Adventure - Dec 2

Guys don't forget there is a pit road entry speed limit imposed by the game at Monza. Go in full speed and you will be held in pits by the system for a penalty.

I don't recall the limit exactly, but if you dive in too fast in practice it "warps" you backward when AI takes over. Someone can test and report back? Or it might be in an older race thread.

I have done testing, the limit is somewhere around 200KPH or 125MPH so my target entry speed is 190KPH or 118MPH.

Lounge closed for qualifying.

I will re-open when we are done.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Right now we are at 15 confirmed drivers (+ 4 reserves) and that doesn't include T-L who hasn't registered yet on the form.

Our rule for mixed class races is that if there aren't at least 20 confirmed drivers by race day we're running only one lounge and it'll be the 8 fastest qualifiers per class that earn spots on the grid. Note that 20 would allow us to have 5 per class in each room and any less than that it isn't official anyway.

If there are open spots the reserves can jump in based on their quali time and availability. And with 15 minutes prior to race time any open spots in the lounge are first come first serve.

So please update your status. If you are confirmed we expect you to be there. If you are on reserve and you want a spot confirm as soon as you know you can make it. If you are on reserve and you know you can't make it then cancel your registration.

If you are confirmed, but not that excited about the race let us know (via PM if you want) if you want to volunteer to be a "flex" driver. That's basically what I did for the Le Mans enduro and I ended up sitting out as 16 joined so don't do that unless you are sure you don't mind giving up a spot if needed.

If we get to 20 confirmed we will split into two lounges of 10 (mic-enabled in 3D3 lounges) otherwise we're running a single lounge of 16 (mic-disabled - in my lounge).

The support races have spots available for those that might get shut out of the enduro if it comes to that. We really don't want to shut anyone out that wants to race, but we don't want to run a multi-class enduro with only 8-9 cars on track.

PS> To the guys running the PURE JGTS series which has a race just prior to the enduro (Litchi, SnowCrash & JTV -- I believe)... What time does that start relative to this race? Originally I thought it was only 1 hour prior to the enduro which would be tight, but I believe it might actually be 2 hours which would mean it's pretty sure there won't be a conflict. In any case, if you confirm we expect you'll be there by the designated start or hopefully a bit earlier which will give us time to sort out any issues if they appear.

I must apologize I was wrong about the Qualifying deadline it is 10PM Pacific time not Midnight.

Does the start time was 17.00 UTC when i signed up? I see that the post #4 has been updated a few minutes ago. I dunno for what.

Anyway, i'm pretty sure that i was safe with the schedule when i signed up. But now i just noticed that the 3D3 start is 17.00 UTC and the PURE JGTS2 start is 18.00 UTC...

What i missed?

There are some serous mistakes in the OP here with the GMT times!!! How did we not catch this??? There were issues with the timers also as they were set to EST instead of pacific (which I fixed a week ago) and it looks like the same error went into the GMT calculation.

The US times are correct and consistent with past enduros. The times should read as follows:

Feature Race
(Timed 2.4 Hour Enduro)

Sunday, December 2nd, 2012

1:00 PM Pacific | 4:00 PM Eastern | 21:00 GMT

img.php

Support Races
(Fixed # of Laps = 50-60 minutes)

Saturday, December 1, 2012

11:00 AM Pacific | 2:00 PM Eastern | 19:00 GMT

img.php

3:00 PM Pacific | 6:00 PM Eastern | 23:00 GMT

The times don't even match what's listed in the registration posts.

We have some discussions to make for those who were expecting the original GMT times listed. :(

We are going to have to scramble now and see who can make what times and who can't and adjust and flex as needed.

As far as I"m concerned we can move the races an hour earlier or keep it like this... we'll need feedback and some scrambling at this late hour.

LOUNGE CLOSED FOR QUALIFYING

will re-open when done

LOUNGE OPEN nice job Stef and Jon

ah, 21.00 UTC (GMT if you prefer :) ) now, that's perfect ;)

Hope that works for most. The later support race seems a bit late for EU guys @ 23:00 GMT... we'll have to see what feedback we get on that... maybe move it up one hour? Let's wait and see what you guys have to say. Got some cleanup to do.

I would suggest the registered drivers let us know what does and doesn't work for them near the listed times so we can figure out how to proceed from here.

21.00 GMT (UTC) works fine for me for the main race on Sunday.

I can make both support races, or an hour earlier.
I get more sleep in the later slot :)

We're discussing the main race correct? Whatever time you guys think works best, I can be there.

All of them. Only the GMT times were off so it doesn't impact NA drivers, unless we have to move them a touch to accommodate people. I think we are basically set on Sunday 21:00 GMT, only question now is the support 2 a bit too late at 23:00 for EU? It's Saturday night right!

I can make support race #2, whether it stays as is or moved ahead.

I'm heading into the lounge now. I'll be ready to qualify in about an hour or so. I will post here again if there are no stewards present at that time.

Is there a steward available in the next 10 minutes or so? If not, I'll have a bite to eat and come back later (I'll stay in the lounge, though).

EDIT: Alright, I'm back and ready...

Meant to post that the lounge was closed for qualifying but this thing wasn't loading for me.

Good run, Daniel.

I'll be home soon - get ready!

Had trouble with own wireless posting:

MAIN LOUNGE IS CLOSED FOR QUALIFYING - DO NOT ENTER UNTIL I UPDATE THIS MESSAGE

All done! Great run, Mark!

... and that would be deadline done!
