Welcome to GTPlanet Vincent 👍 The best way to get started is to read these two threads:

Basically you will need to create a GTP account, named in the following way: "GTP_Tag" so you could create something like "GTP_VincentFive" or whatever other nickname you may choose. Then run the GTP qualifier. Submit the times you are happy with and wait for the announcement that you are officially in the registry in here. I think they announce them monthly, so if you submit soon I think the next batch will be between 8 and 21 of April. Good luck 👍

Thx a lot, for your help. So it seems i have to be more patient..💡

Psn ID done, i'll do the qualifier, pls let me ask one last question(and sorry for the off topic). When i ve got the split time(2x),i send it, aaand than it depends about my "division" class?
-Why important this for the future? I'll be the right group when im racing?

Hello Guys, im not a registered racer, so far, am i got any chance to come one of these sunday races?( im really intested about GT500)
I now how i could be a reg. racer, (AMG event split times) , but if im not mistaken i have to wait after i send my time, around 1-3weeks. Thats true? Thx

You will have to wait 1-4 weeks to receive your official division and handicap and participate officially in the time trials.

However, you will be able to participate in online races almost immediately (within 24 hours) after your submission is confirmed. You'll be assigned a preliminary division (no gold/silver/bronze) and that will be finalized after your official processing in 1-4 weeks. You do want to give a decent effort to get a time that represents your true ability as you want to be racing against guys around your same skill level. It doesn't make a big difference as handicaps are not used often for online races, but they are occasionally and they are always used for the time trial competitions.

FYI. there is no discussing what times are needed for each division:

EDK
Qualifier Rules:

  • The qualifier MUST be run using your GTP_Tag Account
  • Do not discuss privately or post publicly any of your splits or final times, or anything relating to this qualifier that would indicate a sector time or a full lap time. By taking part in this qualifier you therefore agree to this very strict ruling

I've deleted your last question to make sure nobody mistakenly answers your question! :sly:

PS> So if you submit your qualifier by Friday afternoon you can take part in the races on Sunday or Saturday for that matter. Just make sure to review the GTPlanet OnLine Racing (OLR) Rules & Guidelines and understand all rules for the specific event you are running. In fact, we are planning a practice on Friday at 21:00 GMT so if you have submitted by that time we'll admit you to practice and you can get an idea how we race. Although the practice will be spread among the four events I"'m not exactly sure when we'll be practicing the GT500 race. That one includes no tuning so chances are it will require the least amount of prep time.

So no one gets caught out by start countdown lag.

The last race I took part in, I was nearly caught out by it, and we've always had a formation lap start.

Also the system doesn't always get the order right on the grid. Also turn 1 tends to be cleaner. Also we can pick alternate starting points if necessary. Also we can apply grid penalties if someone needs to drop back 5 spots.

That enough? I can keep going.

Currently in the lounge to get familiar with the combos, alltough I ran all of them.
Feel free to join anytime 👍

If you go to your Configuration Panel (click on My GTPlanet), you can set 2 images, one is for your Profile page, and one is your avatar. The one you need to set is your avatar, in "Edit Avatar" under the category Settings and Options.

oh thanks! now i think its time to change my name: 100% newbie and my quotes: i'm asking stupid things.. :)

Depends on your question. If it's WRS related try the following threads:

WRS-Online Specific Question: GTP WRS-Online : General Discussion

Registry/Time Trials: GTP_Registry Discussion Thread (GT5)

Both the online and time trial sections have comprehensive guides so check there for answers first.

By the way, you've been assigned your preliminary division (check your PM inbox). You only need to sign up with the 3D3 registry and you' re set to join our events (see your PM)... including practice later today. I'll be posting a note on practice in a little while.

Note on practice today.

The main lounge (GTP_3D3Racing) is being reserved for rookie racing between 19:00 GMT and 23:00 GMT.

For Greatest Hits practice today please use the alternate lounges.

From 19:00 - 21:00 GMT
  • The A lounge will be reserved for "RUF Cup"
  • The B lounge will be reserved for "GT Out of That BRZ Before you FR-S"

From 21:00 - 23:00 GMT
  • The A lounge will be reserved for "Colorful Conceptii"
  • The B lounge will be reserved for "Super (GT) Suzuka"

If you are first to enter a lounge please set it up according to the event specifics. Lap counts (for test races) should be set to last ~10 minutes.

If this doesn't work for you, you can always practice in your own lounge and invite others using this thread.

NOTE: I've enabled mics for the A lounge for practice.

... I'm afraid I have to cancel on the practice tonight. I'm stuck somewhere else and won't be home until tomorrow.

Tim, you have lounge B reserved for "GT out of that BRZ before you FR-S" for both time slots.

I'm hoping someone will be around a bit later too, I'm planning on practice after 8 or 9 central.

I'm unable to make the "GT/BRZ/FR-S" race so I'll be setting up the A lounge for the RUF Cup at 19:00 GMT. Someone else will have to host/setup the B lounge.

I'm not sure what I'm doing at 21:00... may split that hour between the two Sunday events as I'm participating in both.

Fixed. The later time slot should have been for Colorful Conceptii.

I'll be practicing later tonight also, but probably not until 8 or 9 pacific. After 23:00 GMT feel free to use whatever lounge you want and just post here (first come, first serve). The main lounge is in play after 23:00 for sure.

We've switched over the A lounge to Deep Forest for Colorful Conceptii

Sorry guys, will miss practice. Intense day at work and very tired right now :grumpy:
Have fun 👍

The "A" lounge switched to suzuka... I've got to run though... I'm tuckered out too... Stef and Twissy were just starting to practice on Suzuka when I left.

Yeh, sorry I couldn't do the practice, lots going on earlier. I have some time tomorrow before the festivities begin so I'm gunna put some time in then. Hopefully will be able to pick up at least some of the pace.

I'm in the main lounge running conceptii.

I'm out.

Can I just verify, when it says for Drivetrain/Suspension: All allowed, that means I can add Twin plate clutch etc? Or does that just mean I can adjust the LSD or something? Just because it doesn't specify the parts that should be equipped like it does for exhaust for example.

Oh im just realize the sunday GT cup, too late for me. ( hm im learning iam GmT+1.... Its 10PM)
So im sign up sunday/colorful bmw...
Is there any chance to share someone a lap time for a benchmark? (iam just around div4 or div5, so as i see lot of div1-2guys on the grid.. I really have to start practicing, to keep the pace around tha last place..:) )

Time is not on my side this weekend so I'm going to miss the first race I'm afraid. ETA is about 15:15 GMT, so I'm on reserve :( I hope I only just miss quali and can jump straight into the race...
