@Lock2Lock I'm not sure I understand what you mean. How would such a feature be different from scrolling up and down in the post composition box?
For some it is somewhat impossible to normally drag the cursor down while writing a long post.

Maybe I am doing something wrong. I have a Samsung Note II. So I might just need to figure out how to properly do it.

Hmm.. Would be nice if we could view more members on the "Members" page (it only shows the notable ones). Unless there is already a way to do it that I'm not aware of :dunce:
I noticed this too.

Are alerts not updating? It doesn't matter what browser/platform I use, I haven't gotten an update on my Alerts page since last night.

I generally only get one when something is quoted. Thus, you should have one for this reply.

I noticed that posts over a week old no longer have specific time stamps. The month and day are shown above the posts as you'd expect. But not the exact time of day anymore, depending on your location.

I'm guessing it's just down to how the current site software is and it's not a particularly major issue. But I think it would be nice to show the same level of data for all posts rather than posts only made in the last 7 days.

When selecting recent posts on my tablet (Galaxy tab 2 7.0, Android 4.2.2, Chrome 18.0) the results try to come back on 6 pages (as it does on my laptop) but page 5 is always missing. You can get to it by selecting the next page link from page 4, or prev link from page 6, but can't select it directly.

(I know it's Times New Roman in the screenshot, but it's only done that once.)

@Jordan

Uploaded images aren't displaying. They display fine in the editor, but when posting, they don't show. They display a broken image.

Device: iPhone
Browser: Safari
Issue:
I'm having a very persistent bug on the iPhone format of GTP12 with the "Post Your Latest GT5 Pics" thread. Each time I click on the thread or see I have an alert for it, I always start at the middle of a page, not the latest post. It's always on posts that I have seen, and even clicked the like button on.

Its nothing that will ruin my experience with this site, but it is annoying.

I opened the "Premium Ramblings" thread and it seems that I quoted Daniel without quoting him. The quote appeared in the quick reply box without doing anything except opening the thread.

Is this a bug or did I do something wrong, I don't know. I do know that I can repeat this everytime I open this thread.

That's a saved draft; at some point, you did quote him, but for whatever reason, might've navigated away from the page.

Erase it all, then hit the little floppy disc icon to ensure it saves the now-blank reply 👍

I going to "like" your answer. I did what you said and it worked.
I remember now that I didn't want to quote this post. I wanted to quote somebody else's post but clicked his quote instead and navigated, as you said, away from it when I saw my mistake.

You are smart.

:D

Are the smilies broken? Can't see any of them, instead it shows me the faulty image icon.

Please, kindly consider making a new app of the site for Android which will be easier and faster to use than the browser version. Thanks.

This is the "GTP12: Bug reports" thread. What you are mentioning is not a bug.

Not so much a bug, but something that causes me a small (but annoying) problem.

I am somewhat 'colour-blind', Mild deuteranopia I believe, and I REALLY struggle to see what page I'm on within a thread. For now I'm just looking at the browser bar to determine the page, but (to me at least) the teeny-tiny slightly marginally perceptible difference in colour between the current and other page number buttons could do with being a little more obvious. Subtle differences for aesthetics is all good, but I just find it hampers functionality a little.

Probably on my own with this one :dunce:

Alls good mate its in the first post and noted about halfway down the confirmed issues.
And your not in the boat alone with that comment. :D

Well, that'll serve me right for not reading the OP properly first :ouch: Just figured it was probably too minor for anyone to have mentioned, glad others noticed it too

I guess it refreshes interest knowing its more of a problem for more than just one or two. 👍

Regarding those post numbers, I'm curious as to why readability of the current page number is important, as they don't actually serve any purpose. Unless you need to reference a particular page number elsewhere, the number is irrelevant - or at least it always have been to me. Clearly, you guys must be using the site in a different way, so any explanation would be interesting for me to hear. 👍

To me the only interest in the numbers to be more visalbe a bit is if I need to refer to a page of a thread somewhere, Not just to inform someone here @ GTP, I link to friends and family thru email.
Apart from that like I,ve said before am using the address bar to know exactly what page am on, Thats if its not the first or last page.
So not a biggy for me, I just pointed out its hard to distinguish the page numbers if needed.

Well, I visit the site quite a few times a day, and I like to have a quick look to see what people are talking about, but I don't always have the time to read properly and respond at the time. Consequently having maybe used the Prev/Next buttons, or clicked the page number directly (on threads of maybe 3 pages for example), the 'Go to First unread' option isn't that reliable. So when I do come to reading the thread back properly, and maybe hunting for previous posts to quote, it can get a little confusing. Also handy for when you want to jump back multiple pages.

I appreciate it's hardly a big deal, but since the 'feature' is there to navigate directly to certain pages, and the current page is already (very slightly) highlighted, I'd like it if it was a little more effective. That's all, no biggy.

edit: I've just had a look, and on my iPhone 5 it's much easier to distinguish, but my laptop and dekstops, it's much harder.

My normal use of the page numbers is when I look at a thread I haven't read for a while. The email link takes me to the first new post, then I will often see how many pages of posts I have missed.
So, not particularly important. In any case, it doesn't look too bad on my screen (Chrome).

Also, this drag & drop and direct pasting of images is about the best thing ever.

Still won't work for me.

I think it's because multiple votes are allowed. It would seem that there have been fewer than 8 responses - I'd suggest 3 for one option, 3 for the other and 1 for both - making 4 votes out of 7 responses (57.1%) each.
