GTP12: Bug Reports

I'm not sure if this is affecting other members, but the file uploader seems to be glitching for me; While I can choose to upload files as normal, it doesn't show a download progress bar once the action has started nor does it show said image file available for inserting into a post once it's done downloading. Also, this doesn't change if I try to the "Advanced Options" of the post either...

I'm having some slight issues on certain forum pages when using the mobile version of the site via the Chrome browser on Android 4.1.2
Usually on a page with a lot of pictures, the page will stop loading and an 'Aw Snap' message will appear. However by quickly scrolling to the bottom past the offending image, the page will work as normal. It seems to be random pictures that cause the issue, although GIFS are more problematic.
Also occasionally typing is very slow and laggy, however I haven't tested this on another Phone, so it could just be an issue with mine.

Same issue here.

Android 4.3, Chrome, Samsung Galaxy S4. Have tried with both smart keyboard pro and stock.

I get the "draft saved" message constantly which seems to be causing a good amount of the issue but still slow without it. Spellcheck/autocorrect view crazy and I constantly have to go back to change letters. My typing has to be so slow and careful you'd think I was GT AI.

Yea mine is the same, I thought it was my cheap ZTE phone on android and using chrome.

Its got that slow that I cant use it to reply on my phone. It was fine to start with but has a delay off around 2 sec when you type a letter. Ive cleared cache on my phone and it has lots of memory spare.

Im not having problems with pages loading though just typing.

Edit: just tryed with the standard browser on my phone and it is typing fine only having the problem with using chrome as thr browser.

I'd like to report a bug, while I was banned, all I could see was the fact I was banned for a Rules Violation, however when I attempted to open up my inbox and see the conversation that would explain what I did, it redirected me to the same screen again.

Occasionally, some of my watched threads don't show up when somebody posts in them. This is annoying when I try to keep updated with the GTP crews in GTAV.

If someone "likes" my post, quotes my post, or tags me, it always shows up. But not for every post, which I need to see in some threads.

Same story as CallmeDan. Likes, tags, quotes, etc always come up, but not my watched threads (sometimes). I thought it was just me at first skipping the watched thread alert. But, nope, it's not just me now.

Using Firefox on the Galaxy S4 I've come to find a few little problems, typing input can be sluggish, auto draft saving causes typing lag and formatting issues, while I'm also unable to start a new paragraph using the return key. I've also found that Youtube videos embedded within a post do not respond to any interaction. Below are two examples I've encountered whilst writing this.

There's not much I can do for those of you having issues on the S4. I'll be rolling out a minor forum software update in the next week or so which should deal with some post editor bugs, but I doubt they will help you guys. Until then, I recommend disabling the advanced editor by clicking the wrench/paper icon in the top right of the WYSIWYG buttons.

I haven't experienced this. Are you sure that you're "Watching" the threads in question?

I'll see how the basic quick reply behaves over the next few weeks, I rarely use the advanced tools anyway.
It has so far allowed a new paragraph and no lag to speak of so hopefully this is the fix, thanks.
Should I encounter any more issues I'll change browser and see if that makes any difference.

Yes. The way I found out was by actually going to my watched threads and I found some threads had two whole pages of new posts I never saw.

Pretty much all of them. I noticed this happened mostly with the LS4X4 GTP GTA V crew (AKA: GTA V General Off Road Discussion) page. There were other threads that had the same issues too.

I am trying to make a thread like I had in the GT5 forum, but every time I try to add another link it moves the link to the highlighted team.(Im trying to provide links to team threads.)
Is there a way to have multiple links in a thread.

It's 12:45 am, and @Badasp5.0 posted in the 2015 Mustang thread, which I am subscribe to. I have no received a notification. It seems to be random. Sometimes I'll get one, others I won't. Could be the same thread too. Sometimes they are extremely delayed.

I'm on a Mac at work and use command+H to "hide" the internet (or any program) quickly.....say, if the boss is about to walk by. If I'm just reading threads/posts the command+H option still works but if I'm typing and press command+H it does not hide Chrome/Safari and I'm left with GTP sitting on my screen. Is there any way to rectify this?

Note that once someone replies to a thread, you won't be notified of subsequent posts until you view that thread again. If you dismiss the alert without viewing the thread, if you return to the thread later this can give the impression that you've missed some posts, although that's not actually the case. This has happened to me several times, but there's no real way around this.

Since the Christmas theme update everything is screwed on my phone.
It is the same at the bottom of the page, the text box is only half of what it used to be.

Edit. It.might just be my Opera browser, as everything is fine on the native browser.

It was Opera. Couldn't even start it anymore. Reinstalled and everything is fine.

Also noticed something else today, I have to hyperlink some images in my racing series thread and after a day or two some of the hyperlinks disappear. I had one linking to the PURE forums (this one isn't necessary) but I also had one linking to the GTP online rules and it disappeared sometime today.

Edit: Figured it out. This is limited to the Rich Text editor. If I click on an image and add a hyperlink to it, whenever I do the same to a second photo, it erases the hyperlink from the first image. So it only allows you to have one hyperlinked image. You can get around this issue by manually typing the hyperlinks in using the plain text editor.

Regarding adding polls: If you coordinate this with a moderator, you can create a new thread with your poll, then ask the moderator to merge the old thread (without the poll) into the new thread (with the poll). The new thread will have all the old replies and the poll.

I cannot replicate the issue you're having with linked images in the editor, @R1600Turbo. I was able to link multiple images by highlighting them and clicking the 'link' icon.
