...I wouldn't mind getting just a DFP to cart around with me, there's just nowhere to attach it...

My "travel rig" consists of my DFP, a folding card table and my 22" computer monitor. I had to fasten the card table to the wall with toggle bolts and pipe strap to keep it from shaking all over the place. It works out pretty cool, because with the right cabling, I also use the monitor attached directly to my cable box through HDMI/DVI.

Just saw this thread so I thought I'd jump in.
I haven't been playing GT5P much lately but since the first race was posted I got back in to it.

Same here, just came back and having to learn the physics engine again, lol. I should be around for some racing one day again, I'm going to focus on the GTP race event first though, looking at the provisional leaderboard tells me that 90% of division 3 were people who didn't put their full effort into the qualifier...which is not good for my promotion prospects
Hopefully I can get my times down enough to not be completely overtaken by you lot! Or at least beat some Div 1 or 2 people

Well I can hand-on-heart say that wasn't the case with me. I put 100% into the qualifier but basically I'm just not that good with the F430/Suzuka/Time Trial combo. I'm much better in races, at Daytona Road, and in cars that are a bit softer (like the AM Corvette, or Elises, or F512BB etc).

I am glad to be near the top of Division 3 but I guess only time and racing will tell whether I'm good enough to move up any further.

There are some surprises with how quick some division 3 people are in the AM/Daytona event though. Maybe they're the same as me, just prefer the racing to the repeated hot lapping.

i've changed the time to coincide with Hyperuk's thread, more the merrier:tup:

you know what may/may not be fun, for one week use a certain car with certain settings as standard other settings fixed, decide on times to meet as in M7pm, T8pm, W10am, TH 12pm, F10pm, Sa6pm and Su 9pm, same as arrange times for NTSC, hopefully giving enough opportunities for an individual to visit at least one race, do the races every 15 mins, enter as many as you want but take only your best position from any two races, sort out a leaderboard, then the following week choose another car and repeat. Basically an idea to get us into a variety of cars and fixed/set settings so as not to give advantage to those talented enough at tunning.

what do you guys think of an championship the moment private rooms appear. this only will work out fine as we can select the PP, track and amount of laps, laps aren't that important but would be nice even with qualifing for the starting grid and pit stops. (no it's not gonna be a wish list )

we can start a gold, silver and bronze championship. at the end of the championship the nr 1 in the gold division is the overall champion and the last 5 of the gold division wil go the the silver division and the top 5 of silver go to the gold divsion and so an.

this is just an idea, if enough people wants to join we can work it out.

I would join too, undoubtedly. But not only do I have to wait on private rooms, but also my PSN connection is down now and may be for some time. Hopefully it will be going again soon so as I can really see how I stack up against some of you!

I would be interested, but I have a mental block stopping me from playing GT5 - quite simply I have exhausted all the fun from the game (I did play it every day since the UK release in April up to the very end of August) and I can't pick it up anymore and play it. I'm waiting for the next overhaul in features for the game before I play again.

Hey Energiya, I spend all my time in the FC Suzuka Event. I've thought about the Evora event but being in Aus even racing in FC event I only ever get a few GTPers, but the grid is mostly full and half are normally good (some others tagged) drivers. So I'm blaming time zones for my inappearance and also that im a much better driver of the 512 than the Evora, I feel very slow in the free laps I've done in it. (With DCs tune which I understand is amazing)

EDIT: Would love the idea of a championship but may need to not limit it to gold, silver and bronze classes but to different race times and then people can sign up to whatever time they'd like to race. Only a suggestion, thoughts?

it's all just an idea. there is still enough time to decide the definitive rules. if there aren't alot of drivers we can go in one group. and for an championship we can't race at difrent times otherwise it's not a championship. the 22 F1 drivers ar also on the track at once. or whatever championship.

can i put you on the list. it aint a definitive list. i will contact you when the time is there

So this thread has been pretty quiet lately. What are all you fellow Div 3 racers up to lately? I was knocked out of the GTP Registry Race Event 1 last (missed the Finals by one race ) so I'm looking for something new to get into at the moment. If there's nothing setup, maybe me and a fellow volunteer could throw something together.
