I'm going from my Evo X to a tuned Elise. This should be good...

Hi all

just a quick hello, i've not been on much lately so the divisions are all new to me. Great idea to bunch people together with equal talant, should make for some great racing:tup: quite happy with D3 shows i'm not completly useless and have a life;)

How many laps did people put into qualifying? i only did about 15 as i did'nt see the point in doing hundreds and being placed with people that i would have had no chance in keeping up with in a 5 lap race

hopefully DONKS 600PP will become popular, sounds perfect for D3:tup:

Same here, I kind of forgot about it, then only had 1 evening and I did about 15-20 laps.
Anyone around for a bit of a race now? Name your spot.

I did about ten laps and then knew I wouldn't get any quicker. My race pace is generally better than TT pace anyway (or at least, I can hold my own in races with people who destroy my laptimes in TTs).

Hey all you D3'ers I am GTP_HAAS599. I have a [JP] beside my name but I play with the U.S. version. Look forward to one day actually racing side by side and not just doing time trials, but this will have to do for now. Please add me to your friends list.
 
Hey guys, I've got this job that requires me to be away from my cockpit and PS3 at home for 3-4 weeks at a time, but it looks like I'll get a couple of days off this week. Hope to see a few of you online when I'm tired of flinging that friggin' Corvette around Daytona for GTP Event One:lol:

So how many other D3ers have cockpits, and what wheel do you use? I've got an Obutto oZone and a G25 at home, going back to the controller is so hard for me to do anymore, and all I have out here on the jobsite is a PS2 and GT4. :grumpy:
 
I'm working as a construction manager onsite for a retail build-out on Long Island, NY. I live in Wisconsin. Since I knew I'd be here the better part or 12 weeks, I decided to take my Driving Force Pro wheel and my PS3 with me. I don't get to play when I go home every other weekend, but I have so much down time at nights that it's easily worth it.

You could probably score a DFP pretty cheap and ship it back and forth to your jobsite.

The only thing that's really keeping me from bringing my setup is the space. I'm out at a land drilling rig right now living in a tiny little trailer with another dude working 12 hour shifts. There's only so much room to be had and It'd be a pretty dick move to hog what little there is with a cockpit and a wheel. And I wouldn't mind getting just a DFP to cart around with me, there's just nowhere to attach it. Besides, it's more comforting to leave my giant uberconsole at the house and bring the ol' reliable PS2.

I haven't been playing GT5P much lately but since the first race was posted I got back in to it.

All I have and use is the sixaxis :guilty:. I've a similar problem to you, I have the PS3 in my college apartment for week days (from next week on), and there isnt enough room up their for any wheel, which I was considering to buy soon. So its a case of no PS3 at weekends and no hope of a wheel any time soon. :grumpy: Oh well, hopefully I'll have uber fast broadband in college. 💡
