I have a JPN copy on PAL.

From the UK, Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

Not really getting on-line much i still think theres a few proplems to iron out before i can get my teeth in.

Of course i'll be involved in any races organized.

I'm a Time Trial man at the moment.

We have the best participation in events.
Our competition is always very tight. 👍
We have to look ahead to set our sights on the Div 1 folks, and also watch our mirrors for the rest of the GTP crew!

Hi to all other new members, looks like a lively bunch

I've got a couple of ideas for events using the current online races...

1. Lotus Evora 650PP, should still be a mean little shifter on S2s and we can use an alternative schedule to the current No Mercy Suzuka events, this could be a one night thing. We found this car to be superb for close racing and I think it had grown on everybody by the end of the Evora Cup

2. Ferrari F430 event, maybe we could try something a little different like pick one tune and use it across a few different circuits, changing only the tyre specs if the event demands it? That would mean a compromised setup for each track but might be something a little different and interesting, highlight people's adaptivity etc...maybe that would be too ridiculous? One race at Suzuka, then a race at Fuji, then a race at Daytona etc..

3. We've got a bunch of RWD events, how about a AWD event? STi vs R8 at Suz 600PP on S2s? Um...wait...is the R8 even AWD?

4. How about our own hotlap competition, just a Div 2 one? A car that we all quite like driven on free run? heck not even the same car, just a selected PP...like a 600PP hotlap event at Suzuka....or maybe even time trial?

Anyhow, I just wanted to put some ideas out there to see what appealed to people because really I race so many of you in the seperate events and the races are mostly quite close and well-attended. I see Hun, Hyperuk, JvM, Theewar, MJH, Ren-Tec, Manuelos, Mr_Geez quite a lot, so there should be plenty of interest in a bit of Division 2 magic, right?

How do you feel about using one F430 tune across multiple tracks? Is that just asking for frustration at places like Fuji after a few laps at Suzuka?

Lol, ok AWD just for you though. I tried the Evora briefly for the 600pp No Mercy event, And the DC tune seemed to fit well, Of course the gears need a tweak here and there. Im sure Lars will hook us up. F430 across multiple tracks, well I know the DC tuned 650PP F430 and Cali is good @ both Fuji and Suzuka. 👍

This is true and a real shame. I guess at least a hotlap competition can eliminate this problem but there's so many of those going on at the moment anyway. I still think it would be nice just for an inter-division hotlap event to start.

It's also unrealistic to expect all members to purchase PAL copies just to race their buddies...I guess we wait for more world events to truly get everybody involved together. But Division 2 is pretty huge, surely if we can get the NTSC folk as interested as the PAL folk we can get participation on both sides of the pond? You've got zzAli, Vaxen, yourself, Bennant, EDK, Flash and Raven in D2 from NTSC and these guys are always pretty active...so if we can organise something concrete, there's enough guys there for some seriously good racing from what I remember of you all from the World Events.

As soon as more feedback comes my way from other D2 members I can get to work setting something up if people like?

Yeah, the same happened to me yesterday... I was test driving / racing the T&L's M3, and everybody else was running 650pp. I guess the 600pp variant is more successful in European timezones.

The high point of the night happened in a 2 people racing where I lost by 4 seconds to a guy driving a 650pp Tuned Evo (I was in the 600pp M3, mind you), and then received a message "you FAILED" from the guy... just brilliant.

Well, that kind of thing regularly happens to me even in PAL, there are nights when I can be online for 1 or 2 hours before i come across any other 600PP runners.

We just really need for a few more Div 2 members to sign in, say they support some organised activities, agree or disagree with some of the event ideas I've put forth and we can start competing on some level...

Try using the Live chat box on GTP and you can hook up with people on both NSTC and PAL. Say what time you wanna race and the events too, just an idea and im in there all the time.

Yeah we could do that, or the alternative is to jump between tracks so as to keep people on their toes and constantly adjusting....that might be a little more original.

If people prefer to do one hour at Suz, then one at Fuji etc...more than happy to go ahead and set that up.

Hun can you add a poll to the thread as to which event people would prefer?

Something like:
1. Lotus Evora at 650PP Suz No Mercy
2. Ferrari F430 1-tune-fits-all Suz No Mercy + Fuji Ferrari (quick switch between tracks)
3. Ferrari F430 1-tune-fits-all Suz No Mercy + Fuji Ferrari (1 scheduled hr at each track)
4. 600PP Hotlap competition at Suz No Mercy - Online free run mode
5. STi vs R8 at Suz No Mercy 600PP

Hi fellow Div 2 members - although I was placed some days ago, I'm just checking in to say hello..... hello!

I managed to qualify and make it to Division 2 Silver. I guess the many laps for the qualifier (370Z Suzuka East) paid off although my race pace is nowhere near some of you guys.

With some practice hopefully I'll survive relegation, lol! I don't want to go down!

Hey Obli, welcome! Many congrats on D2 Silver, a look around will show you the quality of your fellow silver members, GTP_JvM for example!

I don't think there will be any relegation at all, just promotion if earned.

Relegation will only happen at the driver's request, and will be granted only if the results show times which are consistently behind the pace of other members of the division.
