Nice write up Mad, and thanks for the great race. 👍
GTP_PASM versus GTP_Paulie
Winner: GTP_PASM
Arranging a time to race went smooth and we were both on time. After wishing each other good luck we went into the race. It was only Aussienicko, Paulie, myself and an other bloke (host). I was on pole. I managed to be first to arrive in turn 1 and lead the lap. For the first few laps Paulie was checking out my driving and testing where to pass. We were running low 57's. In lap 4 Paul passed me on the back straight coming into 130R. From then on I really dont remember how it went because we changed position all the time. The pace was going up and so was the tension. I think we managed 56.2 in one lap. In lap 8, Paulie made a mistake (coming out of turn 1?) and I had about a 0.8xx second lead. I hoped I could maintain this lead, and I did until lap 10 started. By the end of the back straight, Paulie was breathing down my neck again, with about .3xx seconds to spare. I managed to secure the inside line and accelerated to the finish line.
Without a doubt one of the most fun and clean races I've ever had in a GTP event. A big big big 👍 to Paulie.
Congrats on the win Timo...much deserved broI knew going in my chances of beating you were about as good as winning the California lottery
I pretty much gave up on the first lap after I had the off and fell out of your draft. From there I just did my own race, putting in a bunch of crappy laps
My skills with the wheel are just NOWHERE near yours at this point, and to be honest it's pretty discouraging to go from D1 gold pace (in most situations) to more like D3 paceHopefully with time I will eventually get back to where I was with the pad so we can have some good race. Unfortunately the wheel just feels really foreign to me right now
Anyways, good luck in your future races!

Thanks mate
Just stick with it and soon it will all be backI'm sure of it. You know, the skill never leaves you..
..D1 gold will always be gold. Just dig it back again. I still remember the first time I drove with wheel..
..couldn't get it right. Nothing beats wheel time, that's also true in here. Once you've had 1/10 of the laps you've had with pad, you're already faster than with pad, I'm sure. Again.. was nice racing you. Cya soon 👍
Guys I've got a little problem.
I'm in Scotland at the moment and won't be back until Monday night, after 500miles drive, I'll only have time to do my rFactor race. I didn't know the week would be so short to get the first paired race done.
Shall I;
a) Forfeit the win to GTP_MeAgainstYou
b) Ask EDK and GTP_MeAgainstYou if we could kindly race on the Tuesday?
c) Be disqualified?![]()
GTP_JackStanley vs GTP_Evo8doc
Race started with me in first, Ross in second. Heading down to turn 1 and I lead. 3 laps pass and Ross is suck on my tail. Coming out of Casio and Ross get sideways. This gives me a chance to break the slip and start to pull the lead.
Finally hit some backmarkers (only 4 of them on track), and they are 2 Amuses. Both clean and not that quick. I pass one around the outside in the harpin and the other along the run to spoon.
Lap 5 and I catch the next 2. They are battling for the lead and I sit back to watch. One gets taken out and parks in the sand. As I follow the leader for a lap, his pace isnt so bad. I sit behind and just ride along.
Lap 6 and I decide to overtake. We go through the esses and I give him pressure. He runs wide in Dunlop and I go for the pass. He pulls behind me as we brake for Degner and suprise, suprise... PUNTED
I get on the hunt of chasing him down and making the time back up of what Ive lost. At this point Ross is about 3 seconds behind me.
Lap 9 and Ive made the time up. Managed to pull 5 - 7 seconds on Ross and back on the Viper. Forced to overtake down the Crossover and into 130r he taps my rear.... Im sent sideways and flying across the track.... I collect the viper and we both end up putting smoke everywhere....
Luckily I rejoin facing Casio and go through the chicane ok. With the Viper hot on my tail and looking for another go, I decide to let him pass. I follow with my nose on his bumper giving him pressure. He spins on the exit of Degner 2 and I can concentrate now on Ross. With 3.7xx seconds between me and him, I know Ive just gotta drive smooth and not crash.
Rest of the lap I take everything at 80% and Ross gains a little time pushing hard and fighting to the line 👍
Thanks for the race and hope to catch you on track again. Was good fun
Jack 👍
