Am i the only one running with the 4 tires on the track at all times?!?!!? :dunce:
Must be really slow compared to you guys.

I always try to make very clean laps.

cheers

Arrrg !

My big problem is because my save is in my another PSN > Faria0808

And i need to restart the game in another accont just to be in GTP competitions

Just send over a JGTC car and run the high speed ring seasonal event. You'll get level 17 right there in one shot. AMG requires level 16 so 8 laps on HSR is all you need to enter.

If you want to level up more then after the HSR go to the special events far right and win the rally car then enter it into the bonus race 3 at the far right. You should end up with over 3 million credits and above level 20 for less than 20 total laps.

Not that I've done this yet, but with the seasonal events being so high-yield for the time spent, running the odd one or two on your GTP account (if it's not your main account as in my case) can allow you to buy some nice "presents" that can be sent back to the main account.

It's a nice added bonus made possible by the seasonals. I'll probably gift myself a McLaren F1 since I haven't gotten around to buying one yet.

I agree looking at these photo's kinda makes me think that I didn't spend enough time on my run (I didn't tbh), but I'd rather be on list with a bad time then not on the list at all. I am kinda worried now:nervous:

I think I may have reached my limit for this - I have one run on S2 which is doubtful for cleanliness, so I won't submit it. The only problem is that I cant get within .400 of it now. I guess it wasnt representitive of my true ability (fluke).

Anyway, took a couple of snapshots in the process. Guess which one ends in tears?

Posted my time! Good luck everyone. I am exited and pumped to start the series! See you there.

I'm laying off until the end to post my time i think you can always improve no matter how much you have pushed it, best of luck to everyone.

Usually that's my driving style as well. Although I must say I got a close call during one of the two quali's. But most of the time I'm not really aggressive when it comes to attacking curbes. Usually I'm 4 wheels on the track the whole time. I know it makes me a bit slower, but I don't mind. My driving style is part of who I am, and I'm not gonna change it for a few tenths. :)

both? they look pretty gnarly to be honest was there anything in the rules about all four tyres touching.....well....nuthing?
lol

Cutting corners on this track won't help you much. In fact even touching some of the curbs if you're near the limit will throw you too wide or will mess up your entry into the next corner.

My total corners cut for both sectors combined is two-and-a-half (as such). There's an optional cut somewhere which allows you to gain on entry, but generally lose on the exit so it's give-and-take.

The first one takes advantage of the or above part of the 'staying on track' rules, so perfectky legal from everything I can see. That actually turned into a really fast run through that section. The second photo obviously ended with me backing into the armco at about 200kmh

Hmmm . . . It gets the butterflys going!
I (like a few by the looks) am wondering how good my times are?
I guess i will wait and see, I havent submitted my times as yet, still working on that few extra tenths that i think i can shave.
Good luck to all, see you on the lists!

Cheers All,

Neckbrace for one please:scared:

Normally i would too. But have to get away the weekends. But i agree I didnt pushed it 100%. :)

That's an awesome shot.

I guess this is still technically allowed per the rules, but really, shouldn't the two outside tires at least be overlapping the actual track surface and not the curb? Who drives like that? :P

Race Specifics:

All Hard Surfaces are track. This includes rumble strips, concrete, cobbles, etc.

and

2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times

from the qualifier post.

You misunderstood my post...

I guess this is still technically allowed per the rules, but

I understand that the rules allow this. I was just making the point that you probably wouldn't see an SLS flying over the curb going into Adenauer Forst like that in real life. :)

Well I've finally had a chance for bit more of a serious run, my first run came to about 1 hour combined.

I knocked off about 2 seconds total, which I was quite pleased with. :)

I do intend to give it another go before submitting as I still havn't put in as much time as I would during a normal WRS week, there is still time out there for me it's just a matter of stringing it all together.

I'll be happy if can qualify in my current positon (Div 3 Silver).

I must say I'm looking forward to the WRS getting underway again, thanks to all oganisers and those who compete.👍, I just hope I get the time to run as many weeks as possible (Damn work ).

Good luck all.

Cheers Shaun.

You misunderstood my post...

I did. Sorry.

If I drove my own SLS at the Ring it would never be within 1 meter of the curb and never above 70 kph probably. (And no, I do not own an SLS)

I've saw holl01 sector 2

He was/is ****ing agressive !! But this is why he is fast...

And, i'm not joking, i saw his lap on YouTube, but i think he deleted the vid

Man, this was poetic !

Congratulations, really

I have a silly question...
This whole WRS thing, how are the divisions actually decided and divided?
Is there a set number of people, per division as well as per gold/silver/bronze.
Orrrrr Is is all based on time, where anyone between x.xx and z.zz are Div 1 Gold, and so forth.
Or is it time based, but instead of time cut offs, it's variant based on the fastest/slowest times and then divided into equal groups...

I read through a few of the old WRS threads, but it never really gets specific as to how the dividing in done. Thanks ahead of time,
Adrenaline

I think a formula is used to calculate a "handicap" and the mods already have ranges of handicap values in mind that correspond to divisions and medals.

One would have thought that you'd at least need to have 1 time (the fastest) in order to create a handicap system that was relative rather than absolute in it's nature, but either way I'm pretty sure that placements are not assessed directly by time boundaries but by this handicap value given by the formula.

Habit of a lifetime.

Had a go for 3 hours, got some decent times, had a break and gave it another shot, couldn't get anywhere near my times again.

Might submit later after one more go. No idea how fast in comparision I will be to everybody else, but I know theres some time to be had.
