This sounds good to me . I have been out the mix for way to long now.
Not been part of the WRS since it started back with GT3.

Excellent Combo 👍

Dude.

If something is not related to a thread then many will not reply to it, you'll find in WRS we tend to keep what you may call a tidy house, which all goes towards helping the OLR team.

Look for a more appropriate place to ask your question, I'm sure you'll get lots of replies then.

Phillip.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I guess I was thrown off by the word "discussion."

As my question directly applies to the time trial format of the WRS since tire wear and fuel affect the logistics of a time trial, I assumed putting the question in the only active thread made more sense than starting an entire new thread for a simple question.

What's with all the elitism around here?

I live in London and the problem for me is that I am working in Belgium for the month of January. I would love to have a go at this.

Are there any options for me? Can I offer a late submission?

Please do not confuse long-time members of the community offering you advice on effective posting methods or genuinely trying to help you out for elitism.

To answer your question, I am not aware of an option to disable tyre and fuel wear in free run, but at least it is not an issue for the qualifier 👍

The registry will be closed for 2 weeks after the Jan 28 deadline. After that 2 week closure the registry/qualifier will once again be reopened to those who missed the initial slot for qualification 👍

All the best

Again, this new registry qualifier and discussion is native to what game? GT5. It belongs in the GT5 forum. People that have been GTPlanet members have been trained to seek it out in this oddball place. New people would be looking for this in the GT5 Online Racing section.

When I go to WalMart for Colgate Total toothpaste, I don't look in kitchen cleaning supply section.

It's an unnecessary inconvenience I have been lobbying about since GT5P.

I actually prefer having the WRS threads in their own forum. Imagine if I had to wade through all the nonsense (in my eyes) in the GT5 forum to find WRS related stuff.

If it's an inconvenience why do you keep coming back? WRS always has and always will be in the WRS Forum. It really is not a mission to find where it is ;)

There is a direct link to the qualifier in the GT5 Online Racing forum.

Not to mention the latest post on the GTP front page news blog.

I would say that's some pretty clear signposting.

All the best

EDIT: You beat me to it Maz :)

I've been reading this forum/site for a while, but never created an account. With the WRS now I'm motivated to participate in the races and the forum =) great community!

Nice one, thanks to visit and sorry for the inconvenience :)

@ Luchogvo : Welcome here 👍

Hi i am too a big fan of the GTP News but before GT5 i was not soo excited because even in GT5:P the online mode was hmmm... let me say "too simple"^^

but with the GT5 i am now so motivated like i never was^^
I collect so fast as i can the most of the racecars to prepare my self for online races XD

I have one question. In the registration i have understood that the sector 2 and 3 is as a qualification rounds. My question is do i have to drive on the whole Nordschleife track at once or do i have to drive sector 2 and 3 separately from each other. Sorry if it sounds weird for the better english understanding people here but im not perfectly understand every english word because i am german^^ I know i know learn english :-p but im too lazy^^

never mind. I hope we can see each other on the track

The qualifier thread does not say anything about horsepower or tuning in general, so i assume we can max it out?

it is a fixed event, the power and weight is none changeable, it is found in the AMG driving school.

Hi guys, i'm finally jumping the boat too. :)

I'm eagerly awaiting to join in with the qualifier but first maybe we need to get my new account straight.

Old one i used in GT4 (only three times) was GTP_Speedthrill (Division 3 gold),
but that should be changed to GTP_Slowthrill, as that is my GTP account from now on.

Maybe just leave the old one on the leaderboards, but in the future it's gonna be the new one.
Do we need to apply this somewhere on another thread or be patient for the nearby future ;)

Can't wait, so see you all on the timeboards!

Welcome to GTP

You need to run the AMG Intermediate Challenge in the Special Events Hall
Run Sector 2 to get a time.
Then run Sector 3.

Once you have both times, add them together and submit them 👍. The challenge automatically puts you on the right section so no need to worry about driving around the nurburgring for no reason.

Hopefully I have been clear enough for you to understand 👍

As I understand it the GTP registry will be "cleared" and start a fresh in GT5. So as long as you use your current account for the qualifier then everything will be correct once the Registry is updated 👍

Sorry if this has been asked before, but has anyone tried to see whether it is possible to get the WRS races to show up as seasonal events on GT5?? How awesome would that be! :-D

How long does the GTP name show up on your main accounts in game friend list? I can't gift the GT-R to my GTP account yet because it's not showing up on the list.

Edit: Found a way to do it, nevermind. :)

Edit: Seasonal #1 Event just Shut. ****. Looks like I'll have to do the NASCAR one.

Finally had a couple of free hours to give sector 2 a go.

Isn't this a fun car to drive, it just begs to be thrown around, the problem for me I end up driving it for fun instead of concentrating on being fast.

Anyway i've made some big improvements but i'm sure I can squeeze some more time out of it before I move onto sector 3.

Nice combo. 👍

Have fun guys.

New events out, Give 120,000xp / 1,500,000cr and 90,000xp / 1,000,000cr, for the top 2 alone!! 👍

Easy money!!

Nascar one is easy, i was in first after the second corner of the second lap, did first lap a 6:21 and second a 6:10 lol.

Also good practice since its on nurburg.

Not that I have a wheel but why is the clutch not allowed? Please excuse my ignorance.

The clutch is not allowed in the WRS as it gives an advantage by being able to shift gears faster. These faster gear shifts add up to quite a bit of time over a whole lap.

A stick can shift gears faster then paddles??? I have a G27 and I would have said the exact opposite. Plus you are more likely to mis-change a gear. Not that I care either way, but I must say I was curious as well

Can the event be ran even at level 0?

The link in the GT5 Online Forum does not indicate "NEW" posts. Please fix this.

Agree to this. No way you can shift faster with the stick than the paddle, atleast not as the rules for changing is now, you have to release the gas to get it to stick in gear, you're losing more than when using paddles, i think.
