One of my favourite track&car combos so far has been Renault Clio RS '11 at Streets of Willow Springs, so the first part of the qualifier doesn't look bad at all ;). I think this track was even listed as my favourite track in game two days ago.

Then on the other hand, I was hoping for no race cars and British tracks...

Anyway, good luck everyone! 👍

Well as Christmas holidays are coming up, definitely going to get into GTP's WRS again!! Combos look very interesting, and I'm definitely looking forward to that BMW!

Enjoy, and best of luck!

I just wanted to thank you for putting all your videos of the game events in the video section. They were very helpful, especially the cone challenges where I was just driving in circles hoping. All I have left for the events are the few drifting coffee breaks, I have no idea how to drift to get the points. Maybe in my spare time after the qualifier I will take the time to learn.

As to the qualifiers, working on Willow first. I keep finding time slowly. Working on the subtle things like the ideal gears. I worry about Brands Hatch first turn, I never feel like I am doing it correctly. That turn can ruin the lap in a hurry.

Good job:cheers: to the moderators, this was a lot of work and I appreciate it.

Looking forward to do the qualifier. Good job to all admins for putting this together 👍
Two new tracks for me, so this gives me definitely the chance to learn them :nervous:

Good luck to everyone :gtpflag:

Just came home, to find the new registery thread, and from the looks of it this is gonna be fantastic. Thanks admins for setting this up, looking forward to some great competition !!!

Il est temps de commencer :) Oops the french ride is doing things with me :dunce:

First off thanks to all the Administrators for devoting their time organizing and running the WRS!!

I like the dual combo format (although I was cursing the Streets of Willow combo at first) lol.

I'd never run the Willow circuit before GT6, a tricky little bugger, hard to get into a rhythm. So learning the track and the fact I struggle with FF cars on hard tires made this a real challenge for me. Needing to brake "Real" early and be smooth on the throttle exiting corners took awhile for my brain to comprehend. It took 4-5 laps before I made it around without exploring the sand. After 2-3 hours I finally got a decent lap for my skill level, still a bit of time to be had though.

The BMW at Brands is proving to be more of a challenge than I anticipated. The rear breaks loose pretty easy if I'm not easy on the throttle exiting corners. A great combo on a deceptively tricky circuit.

Hoping I can move up a division from GT5 and qualify for D2. I'm probably too optimistic and will be happy with D3.

Good luck everyone!!

Quick question regarding the cones:

Say for example you've knocked some cones over on a previous lap, and then on your best lap the car strays around where the cone would've been... I'm assuming that's not allowed, but how will that be checked in a replay verification? If the cones are already knocked over you can't accurately see where they would've been, unless there's something I've missed

If i am right, in the best lap replay the cones are back and you will see the car hit them. If you hit a cone just restart to be sure :)

This is correct. The cone even gets propped back up on the next lap of a full replay.

About 90% of my laps at Willow have been dirty while I get used to the horrendous understeer... I hope the BMW has perfect handling to make up for it
The Renault only understeers when you over drive it. Try turning the line on to learn the proper braking points, they are much sooner than you realize.

Yes...and discovering you can only save your fastest (dirty) lap of the entire stint...:ouch:

Anyway...
The rules are (allmost) clear,I've got 2 questions though:
--1 The use of handbrake is allowed?
--2 Does the DFGT wheel give the opportunity to change the BB whilst driving?
My G27 shows the menu, but only TC is changeable (for now)
I certainly hope there will be an update for this soon, this might become in handy..

Good luck all
Handbrake is OK. Might or might not be faster, but OK.

As far as I know, BB is not currently adjustable on any device.

thanks im a one of confuseds xD but i have a question, all we have to do tests or only people who come new ?

P.D: like and subscribed in your channel oink ;)

Everyone needs to run the GT6 qualifier, regardless of previous registry placement.

CSR Elite wheel motors went out just as I was crossing T2 of the BMW trial :ouch: Clunk-clunk-sshhhhhh

Went and bought a G27, drilled some new holes and got everything working. The power cable from the wall to the power brick was faulty (WTF?!) and wouldn't power on. I swapped it with another and all is well. I just got a decent lap in the BMW with my Fanatec equipment, so now I can see how my times will compare. I'm sure gonna miss those pedals!
