If you're watching your best lap replay the time shown as 'best lap' will be your previous best lap... the time won't update until you finish the end of the lap.

I eco this. Your saved replay will have your fastest (total) time next to It, Which Is different to what Is displayed as your best lap as quotted above.

Oh just to make sure, so after you finish viewing the previous best lap. Then when the replay starts going again, it should have the sector times come up? Thanks Stotty for getting back to me so quickly :)

No, the replay always shows the sectors from the previous lap until the you pass the sector points in the replay. Old sector times will be dull, while the ones for the lap you are watching will be bright, if that makes sense.

Seems my car also lost It's brought items.
I was practicing last night & tweeking my settings, Then today went for a blast & regulation weren't met.
I went to change my tyres & they wasn't there neither was my suspension ect.

PLEASE MOVE IF THIS SHOULD OF BEEN POSTED IN THE GENERAL DISCUSSION SECTION.

I also lost all my upgrades the first times around.

It is important that you save manually after you've bought all the stuff because if you only run the seasonal and then quit none of the upgrades will be saved. Apparently the seasonals do not trigger an autosave.

I know I have another 3 tenths in me but my foot doesn't seem to agree!

Regarding setups As you can see I'm only D4:Bronze so I am no expert but this is my thoughts for those of you having trouble.

Until you can drive a bunch of consistent mistake free laps there is little point in tweaking the settings except in a very general fashion to get the balance to your liking. For me this is usually a very stiff suspension as I don't deal with weight transfer very well.

Most of the time you can drop the ride height quite a way (in this case all the way) and you shouldn't have any problems.

Personally I then stiffen the springs, dampers and roll bars slightly then go and drive it until I can consistently lap without mistakes.

After that tweak only 1 setting at a time (if you feel you need to) and make sure you do enough laps on the new setting so that your performance averages out the differences in lap times that naturally occur from your driving. The more consistent a driver you are the less laps you'll tend to need.

I am incredibly inconsistent so it usually takes me 20 or so to be sure that any differences are due to the settings and not just my natural extreme variance :/

Finally, I hate this car, I don't like this circuit, but I am really loving my first WRS event :) My GT5 is finally fun again. Thanks to those of you who made it possible.

Still really struggling in the final sector though, what kind of speed are you guys able to hold in the final turn, as I just seem to wash out wide when trying to carry any more than 70mph :(

Certainly a tricky corner that last one, always gave me trouble in GT4 as well. First off, switch off the driving line if you haven't already.

What worked for me was braking late and pressing the brake gradually down to about 60 - 75 % of braking power, so not hitting the brake bang on but rather some eased off slowing down. You shouldn't use maximum braking power so you can save some speed; whilst at the same time you should start turning in to create some body roll in the car. Then you should let the car go as wide as possible; far wider than the blue driving line would show, all the way to the edge of the track, similar to what you would do at the Parabolica corner in Monza (last corner before the start/finish straight). Then the most important part: find the sweet spot where you can head towards the corner apex so you can exit (near) full throttle.

If I am getting too much understeer I can correct this by inducing a little bit of oversteer by applying a bit more throttle than you would want; before letting go the instant the nose is pointing in the right direction. Then when you feel the car is settled in the right direction, hit the throttle again and exit.

Not sure if this is the most efficient and fastest way to tackle this corner, but after some practice I seem to be able to attack this corner like this consistently; whilst what the driving line suggests is not working for me at all.

Well I'm going to have to do this with a controller for the time being, one which had drink spilt on it which means the buttons all stick LMAO, not ideal for throttle control.

Hopefully I can get my wheel mount back for the end of the week 👍

Joost.. for some reason I show with both my tags in the leaderboard.. Can you fix it please. 👍

I noticed that, do you have any idea why you show up twice? Did the bot do it? You see if your other tag is manually deleted from the leader board, the bot will probably add it back again when it next updates.

Maybe removing your other PSN will fix it, maybe it won't though, I have no idea how the bot works.:dopey:

I noticed something strange. I did my runs in normal GT practice mode. My car has done 186km and the car's power has increased to 301BHP. Anyone else noticed this?

That happens as part of the normal engine break in. You'll have to go buy a new car to comply with the event regulations.

We are using the seasonal event format for a reason - It has specific requirement on horsepower, tires and certain driving aids.

If you submit a replay for a run from GT Mode practice, you will be disqualified.

hmmm...this car is kicking my butt.

Wont have much time this week to improve my time, so I may have to stick with my first attempt. :(

I'm aware of that thanks, I'm not connected to the net at the moment so I must practice offline. My car is set according to the required specs. :)

This combo's not really my cup of tea, but as it's the first, I can't miss out. Not expecting a great result though :)

I'm using Dion's setup for the moment. Seems to suit me best, but there's a few more I need to try out.

Splits so far:

T1: 15.665
T2: 36.141

Let's hope the upcoming update will enable us to WRS in arcade mode again.

Some improvement:

T1: 15.410
T2: 34.683

I spend way too much time drifting rather than hotlapping...

@HiSpeeder, yeah that's kind of how I've been doing it, but I only seem to be able to be consistent by running a central line and never actually apexing. Just seems to be a few tenth's hiding there for me.

The car seems to hate me today... and I've developed a twitch in my right foot that keeps spitting me off at turn 2. Can't get within 2 10ths of yesterday's best. Bugger.

I've not gotten home to try yet, but I feel certain the car will hate me today much the same as it did yesterday.

That's what I did first as well, but if you can hit the apex, you can hit the throttle much earlier and come out of the corner maybe 10 to 20 kmh (6 to 12 mph) faster than when just following the central line. The trick is to find the point where you can cut inside to hit the apex, if you brake too hard you won't manage because your car will have its momentum pushed away from the apex. Also, when you hit the apex you should come from as far wide as possible whilst minimizing your steering actions, otherwise you will drift off to the left side of the track and will probably go over the gray area as grip will drop away quickly.

So, practice practice practice. I was just experimenting a bit and then found this worked for me. I am using VagabondAngel's tuning with the LSD set to 10/35/10. Unfortunately I messed up my T2 on my fastest lap so far, now its 15.4 / 35.4 - could & should have been 15.4 and 34.9 that lap if I had driven the section between T1 & T2 as the way I did that before.

@HiSpeeder, you seem to be describing my problem perfectly lol, and I thinking this is hurting my T1 time aswell. What kind of speed are you crossing the line at, if you don't mind sharing?

Good question, I wouldn't mind seeing some others' approximate line speeds.

92-93mph is my average, but I've managed 1-2mph faster a few times.

I've been on this for 40 mins and couldn't get within 2 tenths of my ghost.
Came out changed the gearing by 1 adjustment down and beat my best by 2 tenths....:dopey:
