I'm stunned at how all of you can find this enjoyable...... i knew as soon as i saw this combo that my patience would be tested.

I ran for an hour tonight, with the following results:

T1: 15.373
T2: 34.817

I'm feeling i made a mess of T3, but we'll see how it holds up. This biggest problem from tonight is my old bugbear of controlling my frustration where i'm up on my splits, only to throw it away..... which is exacerbated in a POS like this. The end result is that it cost me a wheel tonight.

So thats how this WRS event ends for me, and i'm off to get a new DFGT later this week.

Might invest in a stressball while i'm out.

I feel the same after only a few hours lol maybe we can do a groupbuy on stressballs? This event has tried my patience more then anything else in this game so far!

Still not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing yet lol.

 Still confused about what you're asking.

At the bottom of the leaderboard:

Theoretical fastest time: 0'15.278 0'19.327 0'34.605

This shows the fastest T1, fastest T1 - T2 sector time, and the fastest T2.

Surely that's the information you were asking about?

We're not allowed to disclose any more information than that shown above.

Yeah sometimes I did with GT5P wrs. Only in weeks when I was really concentrating and wanted a good time though. :P

At least someone understands me.:sly:

Sorry - I misunderstood your question then.

Actually, I don't understand your question even now. :dunce:

Let me type it again so you can understand (that is ment to tongue in cheek:) )

Do you watch your replay and write down your split times then calculate based on your fastest sector 1, sector 2 and sector 3 what your theoretical fastest lap is?

Not what everyone everybodies theoretical fastest lap in WRS but YOUR own. And not to share just to see what you could do all being well.

Basically, if you set 3 fast laps but with a fastest sector 1, 2 and 3 in different laps, would you record them down and work out your theoretical fastest lap. :)

33 laps this morn..

15.357
34.684

Nice T3 also.. Maybe another tenth to find in total.. for me ;) 👍

Great time Dan 👍

After some more sessions.. Still using my tune, only set the toe to 0/0

T1: 15.418
T2: 34.926

I had a real nice T3 and I have improved by about .3 since my last splits.

T1 - T2 really has me scratching my head :ouch:... I can get a 15.3xx T1 "easily" enough but I just cant seem to match the T1 - T2 of my counterparts
Oh well, I have a week to figure out why :dopey:

Speaking for myself, no. I just drive as fast as I can round and round and round til I need a drink, the toilet, or the missus comes in and reminds me what time it is. :dopey:

Btw does anyone keep a track of a theoretical fastest lap ie add the fastest splits off all the laps and see what you could do if you could string them all together.

I guess that is what threw me.

Substitute "a" with "your", and even a dumbass Pommie would get it.

Ah, sweet, that's good then.👍

Since I typed that I have been made aware that it does add to your distance travelled, but we're still good on the non-changing HP front 👍

Magnificent turnout for WRS 1 guys, way to represent

All the best
Maz

Isn't that the whole point? We're not racing drivers, we do it for fun. Besides, if you relax, its easier anyway - less haste, more speed :)

Shame you've trashed your wheel but look on the bright side - you've set the 5th fastest time so far and are the fastest Div 2 driver on the leaderboard. 👍

 Thanks for that, cheered me up.

Unfortunately Vagabond i inherited the trait from my father that renders me unable to garner any enjoyment from anything that remotely resembles competition..... i never see it as fun, it's always a test.....

It tends to spike my motivation on the bright side :), but sparks anger on the dark side :grumpy:

I don't think that my time will hold up as top of Div 2 pile, but thanks for the props!

**Edit** i just read the little blurb at the bottom of Duke of Pendle's sig....... which reads: "
WRS is like punching yourself repeatedly in the face - it's great when you stop"

I couldn't agree more!!!

This is also a good opportunity to see how much time you actually devote to a WRS week since in almost all cases your total distance will also be the distance you put into WRS this week.

Oh god, I really don't think I want to know that. Can't we just crack the odo and wind it back?

I've been having a run at this, this morning, well spinning around and drifting by accident mostly.:dopey: Finally I managed a decent enough lap to post here, but I know I can go a bit quicker, if only I could keep it on the track.:banghead:

My first splits are:-

T1: 15.706
T2: 35.380

My T3 isn't that good though, so I am aiming to better this later this week.:)

well...

here are my few first runs with a pad. Was to lazy to get into my cockpit :sly:

T1: 15.718
T2: 35.774

endresult: edit.....not allowed to post , srry

EDIT BY MOD: Please add your T1 and T2 together for total T2 split, it's the final laptime that you cannot share 👍

You need to substitute your T2 time there for the total T1+T2 (35.774) so the site bot can add it to the leaderboard correctly :) Otherwise it looks like you did T2 in about 4.3 seconds!

(Edited 6 times to change all the "i"s that came out "o"s)

yup, it already rejected it ...

however,

title should be: GTP_WRS Week 1 Submission ?? no own GTP name neededed?

and what exact format should ik put into the message? Sorry, first time doing this.

T1: xx.xx.xx
T2: xx.xx.xx

or T1: xx.xx.xx. T2: xx.xx.xx

bit confused here.

thnx!

I couldn't resist turning it into a pimp mobile. The back end keeps coming loose, so maybe I've got too many hos in the trunk.

Firstly, did you run the registry qualifier a couple of weeks ago? If not, you will need to wait 'til the next one and run that in order to be placed in a division for the WRS. You will need a GTP_xxxxx PSN in order to do this.

Read here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=153734

:)

Edit - It appears you are on the registry but your time is showing incorrectly on the leaderboard -change you post to show T2 as the total of your 2 splits. (35.774)

@EDK, Synwraith - I forgot to paint my wheels yellow. Is this going to be a problem if I have to submit my replay? :)

You only submit your full lap time to Vaxen when you think that is your best lap and don't want to improve on it for the rest of the week.

yes i already registered and did the qualifiying run. It puts me into Div1 bronze :dopey:

this is what the WRS qualifying run said regarding the submission:

User: EDK PSN: GTP_EDK Country: USA Time: 6'30.153 Split: 2'58.388 Split: 3'31.765
Please name the PM subject title "GTP_Registry Qualifier (Submission)". Any ambiguous subject titles can easily be lost.

is this the correct format then?

If you only want to add your splits to the leaderboard at this time all you have to do is post them in this very thread. The bot will pick them up automatically. It's only when you are satisfied/disgusted enough with your lap so that you want to submit it that you have to pm it to the admins.

After a total of 60.7 miles I'm finally starting to see some improvement! Maybe it's the hangover dissipating?

T1: 15.955
T2: 35.958

I was starting to think I was never going to break the 36.0 at T2

T1: 15.484
