Question for you guys with high LSD settings and DS3: How are you keeping the car from spinning out with those settings in the 20/40/20 range?

Nice to see the WRS back, big thanks to everyone behind the scenes. 👍

T1 15.627
T2 35.490

Set up still needs work to try and buffer my heavy right foot and made a right mess of the final turn but I'll be back later in the week. :)

Darren.

Gave this one about an hour or so after playing with different transmission and suspension settings, and came up with this,

T1: 15.559
T2: 34.979

I've seen a very low 15.4 only to bin it in the final corner by getting over excited :grumpy:

Hay ho - we have a week to give it a bit more time 👍

Right, lets get this going then.
I also used VagabondAngel's tune, with a tweak of the LSD, and managed to get

T1: 15.862
T2: 36.022

New update :) giving this some serious hammering tonight!

T1: 15.595
T2: 35.402

Really getting into this! First WRS event and am really looking forward to the rest of them! Reignited my love of GT5! :)

43 participants and it's still Sunday

Thank you to Kev and the rest of the team for all your hard work to organize the qualifier and get the WRS up and running again 👍

Had a bit of a go

15.496
35.156

Gave this a bit of a go earlier, and I'm really struggling mid corner. Definitely going to struggle unless I can sort out the setup. Trying VagabondAngel's setup but I'm still getting too much understeer when getting off the brakes mid corner. I need to play with the LSD settings for better exits too.

T1: 16.138
T2: 36.310

Well i'd be lying if I said I was enjoying this car, I've tried the posted tunes and it's clear I really need to work on throttle control out of the corners. I'm getting more understeer than i'm comfortable with using Vagabond's tune although it feels a little more docile on exit, SmallFryz feels better into the corners but i'm having a hell of a job getting the power down out of the corners! Lots of work for me to do I think...

T1: 15.708
T2: 35.527

After feeling more of a passenger at times and involuntarily experiencing parts of Tsukuba I've never seen before (e.g. going sideways across start/finish gives you a nice view on the Tsukuba-branded trucks behind the paddock buillding, not so nice when trying a hotlap though...); I managed this (actually already after about 30 minutes, as I spent the next hour only going slower):

T1: 15.826
T2: 35.648

Will need a lot of fiddling around with the setup, as I don't think I have come up with something very good yet, just seem to be drifting further away from my initial best. Also experimenting a bit with corner entry and exit, but can't say I have found my personal ideal line yet..

I have to say I'm enjoying Tsukuba more now than I ever have. The car is great fun - a real handful mid corner while trying to balance the switch from horrible turn-in understeer to power oversteer.

I'm still using the same setup and just knocked a couple of 10ths off:

T1: 15.416
T2: 34.945

Great turn out for the first event. Let's hope this keeps up. Many thanks to you guys for organising this :)

Need to add those 2 times together for your T2 split fella.

OK you beat me to it ;)

I'm still so confused on the adding the times together, I just dont understand why we have to do it?

Why do we have to add them if the bot does it for us? its alot easier just writing down the numbers it posts in the replay.

From the curb to Black Beast, lot of room for improvement after first run!!!

Beast in motion!!!

T1: 16.145
T2: 36.558

Back to the track!!!!

Does anyone have some good advice on how to tame this beast through the corners. Everytime I give her gas coming out of the corners, I end up sliding sideways and straight into the :banghead:

Thanks to everyone for tunings, they definitely helped since I don't know much about that stuff. And the driving line was pretty helpful too, even though I hate to use it. Do most people use 2 braking zones on the U-turns? Until I turned the line on I was always trying to only brake once.

Really struggling with the setup on this bad boy. Managed this so far,

T1 15.968
T2 35.822

But I am sure more tweaks through the week will help.

Hello everyone, I'm really looking forward to some good competition in my first WRS.

Splits after the first day

T1: 15.917
T2: 35.868

What about the wheels? I haven't read anything about the wheels yet so can we buy and install new wheels for it?

Doc

Looks like custom wheels have been added to most of the cars in the competition so far.

Give'r!

First crack at it:

T1: 15.819
T2: 35.349

Had much better T1's, but of course never combined with a decent rest of lap.

This thing really is a beast; understeer, oversteer, and not much in between
